Is there any chance for the development/port of sailfish os for this device. Oreo kernel source is released for this device. And there is lot of custom rom development is going on for this device. Appreciate if anyone can take up the request.
Just curious how many of MI A1 owners like to see sailfish OS port.

Can someone port Sailfish OS for micromax unite 2?
I don't think they ever will and I don't think they have the knowledge to do it. Because all are the slaves of Android . And moving towards Sailfish doesn't give them the honour like Android or iOS.
At first,be polite to everyone.Of course ,there is passion and honour.And who says they don't have knowledge about sailfish Os. I have redmi prime 2 running on sailfish OS.

Is there an AOSP ROM for the Redmi 3s? Like the one from the Redmi note 2 by vova.vafin?
Which is great in terms if fluidity, battery friendly and obviously the pure stock Android looks.
But a ROM like that to our devices would look and feel f***in' awesome!
I know that this device is new in terms of development, but for the sake of asking. Is there any?

There are but they're not quite read for prime time yet. Someone tried porting Resurrection Remix as well as CM13 for the 3S but both ROMs are basically the same in terms of bugs/lack of polish because Xiaomi haven't (yet) released the kernel sources (for example, neither supports video at the moment). Once this is done, it should be easier for ROM development work to begin.
All we have to do now is hope that Xiaomi do indeed release the sources quickly because they can take their time in doing so.

Hello everyone,
I've seen few days ago a new that has shown up about Xiaomi releasing official firmware source code for Xiaomi Mi Max 2!
This is really great news and I hope that there will be ROM porters soon!
Beside this I have seen that ported LOS by @xuefer thread is locked due to not complying with GPL but maybe he is interested into continuing his work on LOS?
I love device but I hoped for a bit more development. It really ticks many points in terms of hardware.

no worries, development is slowly but surely starting now we have RR, LOS, AOKP, Mokee OSP for AOSP based roms already, so thats nice plus a ton of MIUI based custom roms. im sure it will only get better from here on out!
btw, why did u open this thread in the ROM section...? this fits probably better in the guides/news/discussion section...

Can anybody port oxygen os 9.0.5 from oneplus 6t to oneplus 2 as the development for this device is almost dead no good or ported roms available for it only the respected developer @Shreesha.Murthy is trying to keep it alive... It will be a great port so its a humble request to all the hard working developers hopefully if you may also try to keep the development of this device alive.. Thanks in advance.
