I've had LOS for 6 months now and really impressed with it but want to go back to stock ROM or to a debloated stock ROM because of how bad the camera is and battery is on LOS. It wasn't really bothering me much back then but now I need it more than ever. I have TWRP flashed as well if that helps.
I ask you guys to help me get back as close to stock ROM as possible or a debloated stock ROM and please show me how. I have Odin and Samsung Drivers.
Also can I get some suggestions on what ROM I should download and where?
Thanks in advance. :good:

Just go back to stock marshmallow ROM. Best for battery .. Do your own debloat. Many threads here that explain in a safe way. For the rom collection, sammobile.com has many types.. but for free downloads, it is very slow. I recommend going to samsung-updates.ru for a quick download. But few types are provided. Good luck.

So do you just wipe the internal storage using TWRP and flash the stock rom using Odin? Because I read you can't flash stock roms using TWRP

You don't need wipe anything. Actually, flash stock ROM with odin via AP slot, it will wipe everything (If your phone ROM is different from the one you're flashing) .. including internal memory / sdcard. So backup first if you need it. You need ODIN for flash stock ROM instead of TWRP.

Flashing via PC odin will not touch your data neither in internal nor external sd cards so no need to remove the card from the phone. You only need to back up your user data which you will lose like: contacts, SMS, call history, system settings etc.

Umm .. based on my experience .. from lineage OS I directly flash stock ROM with Odin via AP slot, it reformat my internal memory. I do not know with external sdcard because I do not use it. Or maybe .. i did it the wrong way

Hmm strange. Normal Odin flash doesn't touch internal sd card. I don't know how you flashed your rom ...

Basically for OTA to work you need to be unrooted so it should work but why not to chose easier way - just download latest stock MM Rom for your country and flash it via odin.

Yea .. that really happened. But if I flash from the same ROM, it will not be re-format. Using Odin v3.13. My device G900D. Probably not Odin's cause. Maybe my ROM auto-reformat all when flash above custom system. Lol .. just my guess ..
Where's the fastest place to download the roms?

Check updato.com. I used sammobile.com but it is rather slow and you have to be registered.
im downloading official firmware now.
going Lineage 15.1-20180903-nighlty 8.0.1 --------> G900TUVS1FOL1 6.0.1 and then back to lineage. Hopefully this will allow the unlock code to actually work.
It kept looping after i put it in so i figured it was a rom thing since the tmobile stuffs gone. Its cool, i needed the practice anyway. lol
I wanto to do the same.
From LOS 15.1 I want to go back to the official ROM.
I found it (cannot post the Url because I'm a new user) but I have trouble downloading it, even if I bought the fast connection speed.
I have a Mac and I don't have Odin and I'm trying to figure out how to restore it.
In the meantime I'm try to understand which Odin version I have to use in case a friend of mine will let me use his laptop to restore it.
Thanks to anyone that can help me.

Where can I find a tutorial to go back to stock ROM???
Does installing Lineage OS repartition the phone?
I've just done restoring my phone with Odin without the pit file and it has been stuck on the Samsung boot logo for a good half a hour now.

Believe it or not, MacOS is actually the best go to for a portable platform. I was kinda like you until I actually used one.
Although I am using a budget grade gaming laptop from ASUS, I cannot deny how polished it is at doing general everyday things.

I will be attempting almost the same exact thinkg tonight, but going from Lineage16 to G900TUVU1GQC2 so I can enter my unlock code.
You mentioned the phone was looping....when was this? after you entered the code in stock? Or after you went back to Lineage?
Also, did you reinstall TWRP and restore a backup of Lineage and was able to keep unlocked? I read somewehere restoring a backup after unlocking will lock the network again.

Hi guys, I will try and explain this as simple as possible.
I as trying to install cyanogenmod 11 on my phone, and everything seemed to go alright until I made a mistake. I used TWRP to first backup my stock rom on the phone, and then when I was supposed to reboot into the app, I accidently rebooted the phone.
Now the problem is that the phone does not have any OS installed, so what is happening is that it's trying to boot into an OS that's not there, and instead ends up being stuck on the Samsung logo. I can enter Odin mode just fine, but for the love of god I cannot seem to figure how to get back into the TWRP application, or if it is even possible.
I do have the backup of the ROM stored on my SD card, and I've now moved it over to my PC, but it still does not seem to help me in any way. I've trid to launch the Odin3 program on my pc, in an attempt to to try and launch in TWRP through that, but it has all been without any success, so now I come to this board of guinesses, asking for help!
As an added bit of information, this was my first time trying to install a custom rom, so yeah.. Puff..
- The lost Dane.
- Edit -
I tried to "flash" by doing what this link said, in the hopes that my phone would boot into the program, but alas, it only booted back to the logan saying "samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005" :/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30694404

To make it super clear ... If I could get back into TWRP, I would be able to run my backup. I know how that app works, I just simply cannot get back into, and I do not know if it is even possible. I've searched and tried various guides to "flash TWRP through Odin" but it has all been without any success... :/

Did you hold volume up+home+power button to get into recovery mode?
In case your twrp get corrupted due to flashing failure previously
1. Download twrp from the following. 2.6.3.7 if you were running 4.3 or 2.6.3.8 if you were running 4.4.2(not sure if 2
6.3.8 is 4.3 compatible). For odin flashable use the one with .tar
http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hlte
2. Get into download mode(vol down+home+power)
3. Link the downloaded .tar to pda in odin. Odin log should show 'added' once you connect phone to pc
4. Start the process. Once finish phone should boot into recovery automatically but it'll try to boot back into OS. Just hold vol up+home+power button to get back into recovery

When I do that, I get an ultra short blue text appearing on the screen, before it goes into downloading mode, with a red text saying "Could not do normal boot." So it basically goes right into odin mode.

I really do appreciate the help you've given, but I have one final request, and I really do hope it isn't too much to ask. Say I am unable to find the same version of TWRP, I will have to actually flash cyanogenmod onto my device. I don't think it should be too tough now that I've managed to launch into TWRP, because now I should be able to just put the rom on my SD card, and then install the files, no?
if it helps you, my device is SM-N9005, and I had 4.3 when I started this whole thing. Cheers!
- Edit.
I tried to download the Nighty build from CyanogenMod's own homepage, but when I try and install it, it says failed, giving me an erro that says "This package is for "hlexx" devices: This is a." That's all it says ... Hmfh. Sooooooooo... Yes! I'm in recovery mode now, but without any rom. :/

Yes you can flash any cm based rom.
You can also flash any stock rom such as SweetRom/X-Note/BobCat as most developers still keeping 4.3 rom in their thread.

Just the same as you did for twrp. I think i read somewhere that changing recovery helped some people.
The worst just download sweetrom/x-note/bobcatrom or any stock 4.3 based rom if you deperately need the phone to boot up

So after having spent the better half of the night, I actually managed to get my phone to boot into cyanogenmod 11 ! But that joy was shortlived when I came to realize that wi-fi wasn't working, and I couldn't get it to work. I tried to factory reset as I had read would help, but alas it did no good. I figured I should try and run back a stock 4.4.2 rom and just be done with it, but that was when I realized I had lost my root (?!) so that wasn't really a possibility either, next I set out to try and find a way to root my phone now running cyanogenmod 11. I found a file here on XDA called "CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar" but whenever I try and flash that onto my phone, my phone just stays stuck saying "trying to enter into recovery mode" and does not really go anywhere from there. I can get back into recovery mode if I flash "n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.5(1116)" onto the phone, like you said, but that still leaves me without root access, which I need to throw a rom onto my device?! Arrrgh, this is getting silly, I just wish I could go back to my backup/ default rom on the device, but I can't.

About the cf auto root make sure you flash the one for 4.3. I believe you flashed the one for 4.4.2.
Doesn't really matter whether you have root access or not as long as you can boot into custom recovery. Just flash any custom rom. It'll give you root anyway.
Still if you need root just make sure you flash cf auto root then flash twrp or chenglu recovery. Flash the one for 4.3 that's the most important

You really are a boss with a heart of gold! I used the file you linked me, ran it, and sure enough it installed and gave me root access. Believe it or not, but I am learning from this! The whole thing about bootloader being different from the rom version was new to me. But I am up and running with root access now, so now I hope it shouldn't be too hard to get a stock rom thrown in. I've kinda given up on my backup. I no longer care for the files I had before, now I just want the phone up and running with wifi.. X_ X
- Edit
Or do you have any clue as to what is causing wifi to not work? I really don't mind the rom at all, I quite like it, but where I live wifi is mandatory as it's a lowered area with mountains around me, meaning LTE really isn't viable while at home.

Alright.. Time to get things done right! So just being sure I do it alright. I pick this one; http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2498687
Download the one for 4.3 bootloader, once download I place the zip folder on my SD card
- Then boot into Recovery mode, wipe phone clean, and then install the rom directly from inside of Recovery mode?
So a few days ago i downloaded a rom for my Telus SGH-i337m which gave me apps and the features from the S5. I installed it and all that, but then it failed. So i tried to use my back up but it was corrupted as well. So I thought i can go online and find a stock image, i found many, but then I think i installed the image for a GT505 by accident. This gave me my software back but then i could't use my wifi or my data. So i found a proper SGH-i337m rom and installed it, my wifi came back but my data didnt. I thought it was because of the wrong modem, so i installed a few different modems and nothing worked. But today when i downloaded a different modem and installed it using odin mobile pro. It was installing and it rebooted, but then it got stuck there with the ODIN logo. I removed the battery and turned the phone on but not it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue..... please connect to kies". I tried connecting to kies but couldn't.
if someone could provide me with fully stock firmware and modem with easy instructions i would appreciate it, I'm so cheesed of my phone not working now
Did you have a custom recovery installed? Have you tried to go into recovery? Vol up home power. Make sure Samsung drivers are installed on your computer. Save a rom on your computer that you know works and place it on the sd card of your phone. Install rom. Try a stock rom version. Maple leaf by ib4stid would be a good one.
I just reread. Sorry I don't think my suggestion will help. Good luck.

what do you mean? you need to create an account to be able to download. hope u got it sorted or by now
If you can give smoe more information about if you have a custom recovery installed (which one), can you connect to PC and move files to the external sd card, which modem you have installed and does the phone boot at all?
The procedure should be, root... download rom, ensuring it is for the i337m and not the i337 (2 different models) install custom recovery (I like TWRP (shouold be version 2.6 or lower.. some suggest 2.5 see mapleleaf rom OP..... others use Philz recovery... I don't have any experience with that).... install rom... let it boot up and run for a few minutes... then if you dont have the proper modem install the NC1 modem found on this forum...(I never flash the nonhalos file) I like to use Odin PC rather than moblie Odin... make sure you take off auto reboot as the flash takes longer than Odin allows before rebooting... You may need to enter your APN settings in settings... wrong APN's will result in no data...
As for roms, I would start with Maple leaf and see what you think... If you need to go back to stock, sam mobile roms are all Bell so you will see some Bell software (not to worry) and you will need to enter your APN's... then you can install a custom rom... again can't stress enough to choose one that is for i337m
The other thing you want to watch is bootloader versions.... once you go up in versions.. you can't go back...
Thanks for the help! I don't know how that I forgot the fact that I have a TelusS4 with a Wind sim in it, and cuz I formatted the phone and crashed the software, the bandwidths went to the stock Telus ones. But then I used a software and now I can use my wind sim on my phone!
Btw what are the best roms out there that look completely stock but provide tons of new features?

Stock roms, I use Mapleleaf, I have also tried Google Play edition by Danvh but went back to maple leaf. I take it you are now back to stock and rooted, before you flash a rom, make sure you do a backup of your current stock rom so you have a easy way to go back. Make sure you back up your imei files also... might come in handy some day... I did both a full backup plus a seperate back up og just the iemi file... like i said before.... if you entend on going backwards from 4.4.3 or 4.4.2 to anything else do not change your bootloader... before you flash a rom make sure it will not change your bootloader... if it is going to i suggest you unzip the rom, remove the bootloader file and rezip then flash... it is up to you though... there is no going backwards on bootloaders......
Well... I want to completely wipe my phone make it a clean slate and then install this new officially released lollipop update.
Please can you good people inform me, what is the procedure to do the same step-by-step.
PS: I guess I have to use the Philz and odin.. but can anybody tellme complete procedure. I wana completely delete cache, partitions etc etc.. that is needed.
Also, if I use this method how to upload to the phone the actual Official OS? I know it can be downloaded via sammobile but is it possible to DL from Kies and upload via odin ?
UPDATE: Well, can you please tellme how can I erase cache/dalvik cache/partition from my current stock recovery (using Lollipop 5.1.1)
Yes, download an official firmware from Samsungupdates.com or sammobile, flash it through odin and then boot into recovery and clear data and format system.

Hi. I am new here and it seems that you know a lot about this subject. A couple days ago, I went to the samsungupdates site and during the download, it tried to overtake my browser and came up with that "you have a virus, call this number....". I cleaned that malware out and now I hear that Odin is loaded with malware also? Any advice on where to download roms and Odin that are safe? Thanks in advance. Have a great day : )

Haha yeah I do have a lot of experience with that since I downloaded many firmwares and also roms. As for that virus thing It is just an Ad, don't worry about it I have downloaded firmwares from Samsunhupdates many times. If you don't like it Go ahead with Sam mobile. Once you download the firmware things will be very simple. But remember download the firmware for the country that you are in, for an example if you are in the middle east download XSG ...etc Just download an app called Samsung info From playstore and it will tell you what your CSC code is (country code For firmware) okay. Once you download the firmware tell me, so that I can guide you step by step.

Here is a step by step guide to flash a stock firmware using odin
http://www.droidviews.com/install-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-devices-using-odin/
Once you flash the firmware, go ahead and boot into recovery, it should take you to the original recovery, not philz or cwm, the original recovery. Once you open it, go ahead and format And clear Your data along side the cache.
Ps: you will lose EVERYTHING that is on Your phone, but that's what you want right?
Goodluck!

Its simple - But then instead of answering this you are here to insult me... well, guess too much free time OR angry with your family & GF !?

I highly recommend twrp as philz is no longer updated and was based on cwm.

You can just use Odin to flash the stock firmware from sammobile.com. Yes, it is original and untouched.

Mate, my phone is facing extreme lags and slowdowns after upgrading to Lollipop via kies.
Now this thing have happened in my old Note 1 with JB as well....
All-in-All, till I don't delete cache, dalvik and partition and reflash the firmware this problem aint gona solve 100% and hence want to use anything like TWRP etc.. to wipe tht first, but I had completely forgotten how I had done last time. BTW, after deleting the said phone cache etc.. I can directly rebot my phone go to odin and flash?
PS: I am still looking how 2 install twrp and under which menu I can find all those options - Gimme sum time to figure this out.
In some instances, stock recovery will go a better job of wiping the phone.

You realise you are in the wrong forums... right? The Neo has it's own forums at THIS Address so you should be asking your questions there. Advice in the Galaxy Note 3 forums may not work and may even brick your phone.
So, I found the OTA update packages for the FRD-L14 to B320 (and B317)
I really wanted to update... but I'm not sure how.
I'm rooted, with TWRP and SuperSU installed, and it all works ok.
I didn't want to do any hard methods, scared of bricking it. Updating the OTA over SD card isn't working (can't even find the setting)
So what to do?
They are only OTA updates, not Full, so I can't just use dload method to load them up.
I would prefer to keep root, but if I have to reflash to stock, and then re-root, I can do that.
Any other methods I can use? Can anyone with a bit more knowledge help me out?
And of course, more than happy to share the OTA files, one is approximately 3gb (B317) and the other is about 300mb (B320)
Thanks
Unroot phone and flash stock recovery
Will that work? I tried doing that but the updater didn't find the update in the SD card. It told me there were no updates available.

you need to make sure the zip file you get are the right one.
since your have TWRP, just flash the update.zip and the update_hw_usa.zip Link without reboot in between.
i updated to 5.0 (320) on my L14, i don't suggest you to upgrade if you need Bluetooth. Everything works fine except Bluetooth. And if you need tutorials and all roms, just reply me i will send to you.
