[HELP!] Soft-bricked my phone.. - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, thank you for viewing the topic..
I really need your help, my note 4 (SM-N910F) had a custom ROM (lineage os MM) and I've decided to revert it back to stock, what I did was reset the phone to stock state in rom settings, after I did that, k deleted anything else in the phone, personal info I mean.
Then, I've downloaded a stock rom + Odin 3.07 and what I did was I put the phone on download mode, opened Odin and connected my phone (I installed Kies for the drivers) and k load the AP with the firmware and I checked ap's box, then I clicked on start... The phone is now stuck in Samsung booting icon and I don't know what did I do wrong.. even though it said "Pass!" In the odin flashing process
Please help!!!! Thank you.

Sorry guys, thank you for helping, problem is fixed. I forgot to format user data.

[Q] Soft Bricked Galaxy S5

Hello,
I've got (had) an SM-G900W8 running the XtreStoLite v2.0 LP BETA5 ROM on the XXU1BOA3 kernel. I installed TWRP 2.7 via Odin, and left the latest modem and bootloader updates I got through KIES3.
At which point I got the chance to sell the handset on Kijiji, provided I could get the stock ROM back on.
I downloaded the latest Odin (3.09) and the correct Firmware for my handset from sam mobile, and factory reset the device. I pulled the battery, let it sit, and tried to flash once I got it back up in download mode, and it wouldn't work.
This isn't too much of a surprise to me, because since I flashed TWRP, Odin hasn't ever worked for me. Regardless of how many times I've tried to flash the modem and/or BL that XtreStoLite asked me to use in their how to thread, it wouldn't work. I was willing to ignore it b/c the ROM worked with the modem and BL it was running.
My problem is that once I tried to reboot, the system hung at the BL animation. I went back into recovery, and tried to move my backups off my external storage (I had 2 back ups that were about 2 or 3 gigs each, too much for the local storage) to the local card and restore (b/c TWRP won't restore from the external card) and the back ups failed.
Now I've got the BL screen, but it won't advance to the animation, and it won't boot to TWRP either.
I tried to restore from KEIS, but it says my device isn't supported by KIES 3 (it is). I could really use a hand here. Every time I try something this gets worse. I'm no pro, but I've had no problem figuring this out on my old HTC handsets.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

Problems flashing last stock rom

Hello world, I have a problem with my phone, I'm gonna try to explain it exactly.
I had the 4.4 android version for almost two years, until yesterday (yep, I've been so lazy that I didn't touch my phone for that time). I was tired of being unupdated, so I took my phone and I connected it to the PC via USB. I downloaded the last spanish available version 'Spain (PHE) PDA. G900FXXU1CPEM CSC. G900FPHE1CPE3' because I'm from there, I did the essential wipes and I flashed it via Odin, and that was all. After that the phone wasn't working good (I don't remember exactly what happened after that) so I reflashed it again then I flashed both files: BL_G900FXXU1CPF3.tar.md5 & CP_G900FXXU1CPE8.tar.md5 because I thought I had to upload too the modem and the bootloader. After that the phone wasn't working well neither. I think I reflashed the last stock rom then a combo modem/bootloader I downloaded from the Phoenix ROM, then I flashed Chainfire's autoroot and last TWRP. When I restarted everything looked fine except the yellow message on top at the intro "SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL". I read about and the phone run every time, so I thought I had to be used to it, that's all. When I started to clean bloatware I deleted some apps (nothing special, just bloatware) and I removed every KNOX app, because I don't care about it, first day I got the phone I set KNOX to 1 because I didn't know about it and now I don't have any warranty anymore plus everytime I have a problem I solve it myself or with your help.
Now the phone is stuck at the boot, with the SET WARRANTY BIT: KERNEL" and it doesn't go further. Can you please help me to flash the last rom, the one I told you, with its proper bootloader, modem, etc? I just want a clean PHE 6.0.1 stock rom for the moment (rooted and with TWRP too, of course). Thank you.
Try flash rom with odin first(ap),after bl and cp(bootloader and modem (latest from the alexndr 's thread where he upload the latest one )after that when it finish if you stuck at samsung boot animation for long time try boot in recovery and do a factory reset and format cache.

Soft Bricked Galaxy S4 LTE while downgrading

Hello,I had this rom installed(https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-super-wizcyan-29-nov-15-t3259562) and since I'm kind of noob I tried to downgrade to this one ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454205). I flashed it in TWRP recovery and when the phone finished and restarted i got into a bootloop( i think that's how it's called) - the samsung logo with the light from behind but that's it. I cannot open the TWRP recovery anymore,I cannot restore the stock firmware with KIES, I tried to restore 5.0.1 lollipop stock firmware through ODIN with and without PIT file and also 4.4.2 stock ( i did not find one for my country - Romania, I found one for Germany). Please help me with this issue..I will install any software and just leave it if it works..I just need my phone .. yep, desperate ..)
I'm sorry if I broken any rule by opening a new thread I'm just desperate to solve this issue..been working at it for almost 4 hours..
L.E. Odin says there is no partition when trying to flash the stock roms so i used this PIT file ( CSB_signed_Fusion3_EUR_0325_V2.pit)
Have you tried Smart Switch?

I don't really know what that is or how should I do it )
Problem fixed. I flashed from a different pc a complete stock rom(bootloader, pit file, csc and all of the other stuff) and it worked perfectly.

Help need please

Hi.. I have recently rooted my Samsung galaxy note 4 SM-N910F and I am wanting to downgrade from marshmallow 6.0.1 to Lollipop 5.1.1. I really need a dummy guide as I don't know how to do it and help will bbe appreciated
Hey there. Downgrading to an older version of Android means you'll have to factory wipe, but other than that it's pretty straightforward. Seeing as you have already rooted your phone, I assume you know how to use Odin, but here's all the steps anyway:
1. Download Odin
2. Find a Lollipop firmware for your device from SamMobile
3. Back up important data, and factory reset. You can do this in settings or in recovery.
4. Turn off your device, then hold power + vol down + home to put it in download mode
5. Open Odin, and put the firmware file you downloaded in the AP slot
6. Plug your phone in. If it isn't recognized, you probably don't have all the drivers installed - the easiest way to get those is to install Kies or SmartSwitch from Samsung.
7. Click Flash, and wait until it's done. Do not unplug the cable under any circumstance!
You're done!
EDIT: Oh, and by the way: Welcome to the forums! Remember to title your threads according to their content. Generic titles such as "help please" don't really invite people to click on them.

First i wiped all data then i installes latest TWRP after that i installed dr.ketans rom M12 then again i wiped all data and rebooted the mobile its works for 3days perfectly
But now automatically shutdowns or restarting
And one time suddenly stuck on download mode
I removed battery and installed after few minutes
And it works fine
Rebooting issue is still there
I notice that somthing written on upper left side of corner kernels in yellow words
Should i have to change my kernel?
Right now my kernel is Hvitamin .

Did you ask/search in the rom thread?
Maybe someone else had the same problem.
It could be a kernel issue, try other kernel.
I don't use a G but a C version, so I can't test to see.
Also consider the eMMC issue of the 910 SnapDragon, search about this.
Thanks for reply dear
Can i update or change kernel ?right now im on H-vitamin any other kernel can you suggest me is better then H-vitamin?thank for your support

I need help, my s7 edge in bootloop after a factory reset and other things.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, I thought I was smart enough to try and root the phone but I was wrong. Now it is in a bootloop. I have tried everything...I did a factory reset, flashed, cleared the cache partition, I have used Kies3, Smart Switch, ADB server, Odin , I tried it all and now I am just needing help if anyone can help me.
I tried to go back to Kies3 but it keeps rejecting my serialnumber for some reason, I even went back to the recovery log in the recovery console to make sure the serial number was right. I also thought maybe I flashed the wrong firmware with Odin? I am not sure I got the right one because I amnot sure what PDA means on the download site, so I am just lost now. The only thing it does is a bootloop and I can get to recovery console, and the bootloader.
If anyone can help I would so appreciate it.

If you have Bootloader it can be fixed. Download the firmware from sammobile and put the files in the spot it says it is. PDA file will go to PDA etc.
Edit. Sorry forgot that PDA is the old Odin. Download the newer version v3.12 and put the AP files in the AP slot and the same with the CP file and CSC. You might wanna try leaving the BL file out as when I did mine it would only work if I didn't add BL.
I had quite the same thing. I rooted my S7 Edge abd installed Lineage, but I was not satisfied of it, so I decided to come back to stock ROM. This was impossible : flash with Odin, with TWRP, etc... All came to a bootloop or freeze when the phone booted.
And yesterday, after a new attempt, the phone booted and now, it works very well. I don't really understand what changed or what I did more, but it seems that your phone is not bricked. Try another Odin flash with forcing CSC maybe.
