Hi. I've got a Galaxy S7 smg930p.
I believe the bootloader is locked, but I'm not sure exactly what I can do with it. It's CRAZY slow. 5 second lags. I see a rooting guide. I'm hsust wondering what all can I do with this phone? Twrp, bootloader, root, magisk, SuperSU different firmwares. Thanks for your time friend

I own an Samsung S5 Prime (SM-G906L) running on Android 6.0.1. At its age, yes it still works quite fast(S805+3gb ram).
Is there any way to unlock its bootloader? I can't literally do anything with it. I was planning to root and install a custom rom.
may want to check these types of threads out, I dont own this device nor have i played with it, but maybe some good info can be found here for you

I tried rooting the phone using cf auto root, etc but I came across some info that in order to root and install a custom rom, bootloader should be unlocked. And the thing is, I can't find any way to unlock it. It's really frustrating.
Up need this rn
Hello guys and gals. I want too root my Samsung Galaxy S8 (T-Mobile) and install TWRP on it, so that I can flash a custom rom. I have however read very negative things about people trying to modify their S8 devices and I am not sure it is as easy or safe as modifying my previous phone (The Nexus 6). I want to ask if it is currently safe, and if so, some reliable links to what I am looking for. Thanks.
You can't root the tmo s8 since it has a locked bootloader, you need the exynos s8.
Hi guys, I just got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G9500 (Duo SIM + Snapdragon Hong Kong Version).
I have already unlocked the bootloader (Tripped Knox of course, so bye bye to my warranty)
Since I am so new to the Samsung family, I have no idea how the FRP works.
So everytime I
(1)flash TWRP, root, and
(2)login to Google Account (I cannot live without Google),
the FRP is on
And EVERYTIME I reboot it, "Custom Binary (Boot) blocked by FRP lock" comes out
and I have to flash the OG filmware, which means all the root and data are gone.
So, does it means, you can root the device, but once you login to google, you are F**KED?
Please answer my questions my friends, it is a pain in the ass using the Samsung OS.
hello good Sir,
I'm using the exynos variant myself, so I don't know exactly how it all works on snapdragon, but I do know that you can find all the answers you are looking for in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/samsung-galaxy-s8--s8-cross-device-development/recovery-twrp-galaxy-s8-s8-snapdragon-t3636718
It's a lot to read, but maybe you can post your question there, if it is that urgent...
About you mentioning that Samsung OS would be a pain in the ass: There is no AOSP ROM for the snapdragon variant at this point in time (at least to my knowledge). Only few ROMs based on Stock Firmware.
Hope I could help and that you aren't too disappointed
It is fine... I am just feeling bad about losing warranty but not getting root access.
Any way to root without triggering TRP lock?
Hey I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge 3 tines now and multiple times with Kingroot and fail every time. I have the Exynos version and my model is G935W8. I have been wanting to have it rooted since the day I got it just cause all my other android phones have been rooted and I loved it. I don't know why I can't fully root my s7 Edge.. The first time I had the frp lock then the second I got bootloop and then the third it just wouldn't root anything on my phone. It seemed as if it was going to root it and almost finish then fail right at the end. Kingroot seems to work but never fully goes through with it. I've rooted android phones before using Odin so I really don't know why I can't for my s7 edge. Any help will be great! Thanks in advance!
