Hey guys, I have a phone here S8 that has just been stuck on the S8 Logo screen, i can access download mode but cannot access recovery mode. I have flashed Stock firmware in odin and it passes successfully but doesn't go past the logo, is there anything else i can try?
Which stock rom are you trying to flash?
I'm having the exact same issue. I did solve one previous issue (the ODIN FAIL) using the trick of pressing Bixby + Vol Down + Power real quick but now every stock rom I flash Odin says PASS but still can't access recovery nor get past the samsung logo.
I installed AQF7 bootloader. Then went straight to latest CRD7 Oreo. Then tried to go back to AQL5 and still nothing. Which version should I flash ??? Did I do something worse?? I can still get to Download mode. It hasn't been a week since I got this phone. I was so happy until today.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi how are you? Unfortunately I couldnt fix it. I sent it back to amazon and they refunded me the full cost of the device. I then bought another S8 and have been using it since then with no issues so far.

Hi! i just got my s5 last week it was given to me by my grandmother because I never had a decent smart phone. I am now experiencing boot looping. I tried all troubleshooting tips given in all websites I search and all videos I watch. I tried flashing the stock ROM it did not work. I tried going to the recovery mode but it never made pass the samsung logo but i can still go to the maintenance mode which it only has 3 options. Every time I go to download mode it says reactivation recovery : ON. I have a hunch that it need to be turned off when flashing into the stock ROM(just a hunch). s5 sm-G900V here is the model number. If you could help me I would really appreciate it. I am not a very lucky guy and I am just a novice when troubleshooting phones.
Just go into download mode, find the latest latest stock ROM from Samsung and flashed.

I already did that that but it seem it does not work.
Hello,
My dad bought a samsung s5 duos about 2 years ago, recently it started to hang and freeze then it went into a bootloop. I have tried flashing through ODIN the firmware but I cant get the phone to boot.
Its stuck now on recovery booting in blue at the boot screen. I tried flashing twrp through odin and using the option Emergency software recovery and initialization in Smart Switch, but both options gave me the same result.
Any help/guidance would be truly appreciated.
Try to search to the latest MM bootloader and modem and flash it by odin

www.sammobile.com/firmwares go there, download the latest tar.md5 for your phone, flash it in Odin. its a super slow d/l, but it s the original source, directly from samsung
heres your specific device link

Thanks for the help guys. I took it to a shop and had it fixed, turns out it was a hardware issue not software.

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and have a similar problem with my phone. I've used odin and the latest firmware, cleared cache, factory reset, new battery, etc. But seems to just be getting worse. Did they tell you what the hardware problem was?

Hello, they didn't tell what the issue was unfortunately.
So basically my S7 Edge ended up in a bootloop and I don't know why.. It had some problems, ended up in a bootloop from time to time, but after the battery drained I could restart it and it worked.
Since 3 days ago it constantly is in a bootloop, when I try to start the phone. Tried to let the battery drain, but still if I try to restart the phone, it's in a bootloop. Then I even can't access recovery or download mode...
I can access the recovery mode and download mode, after draining the battery.
I already tried: wiping cache and factory reset. Still bootloop, if I start the phone.
I had the idea of flashing a custom rom, but I didn't enable the OEM unlock..
What else can I try to get this phone back to work?.. [I am currently using my old Galaxy Nexus from 2011 and it runs surprisingly fine ]
EDIT: I got stock rom and stock recovery, so basically untouched stock.
Thank you guys in advance
Hayalamm
download stock rom from sammobile and flash through Odin after booting into download mode. search google or go through the guide section of the forum on how-to do it. you should be fine.
Do I have to install the Stock ROM of my carrier? I bought the phone via Vodafone in Germany, but I dont think, that it is branded.

I did like you said and it still gets stuck on the Samsung logo and after that bootlooping all the damn time.. It passes the "Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge screen, but always gets stuck after that..
EDIT: Tried to get into recovery mode an the display got wierdly stuck on the first screen at "installing system update".. There was a wide black stripe at the lowert part of the display and many many thin black stripes thoughout the whole display. Since then it is unresponsive for anything..
Are you sure that your phone doesnt have any hardware issues?
If not then search for details on Odin's options. Maybe theres an option for a more theral wiping.
Other than these i honestly dont know what else can be done exccept for sending to samsung support center.

Sending in won't help I think, because my display is shattered a bit. Had the problems before that too..
I have a similar situation. So far I have not found a solution. the phone is lying around idly. I store it for experiments)))
Hello, all!
I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930A). I originally used the PrinceComsy post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s7/how-to/root-s7-att-g930a-g935a-t3410538) to root my S7. This was back about 6 months ago. I ended up using an iPhone (for change of pace) and came across my S7 again and wanted to go back. It was working at the time, no problem. Since then, however, I must have done something within Odin to break it as now it is stuck at the Samsung logo boot screen with the "custom"/unlocked padlock icon on it. I cannot boot to recovery mode as when I do, it simply flashes "recovery booting..." indefinitely.
I think I need help to get this thing working again. I don't necessarily care if it has to get wiped. That said, I am willing to do what I need to do in order to get this damned thing fixed. I have tried flashing a few different G930A firmwares, but Odin either just says "failed" or "model dismatch." I have no idea what to do and all the threads I've read so far seem to be different than what I am going through.
Any ideas? Anything is much appreciated. Take care!
As it would turn out, the only firmware that I got to actually successfully flash to the S7 was the SM-930U firmware. I can now get into recovery mode and I can at least get passed the initial logon logo. When I start the phone, it takes me to the setup as if it is a new phone, however, after a certain amount of time, the phone will randomly reboot. Hmmm... going to continue to tinker with it.
Here is how I fixed my issue:
1. Downloaded and flashed the SM-G930U firmware using Odin3 v3.12 to my SM-G930A S7. This fixed the issue with not being able to get into Recovery Mode and with the phone stalling at the first boot-up Samsung logo screen.
2. Once I was able to get into recovery mode (verify this... my original issue was that it would simply flash "recovery booting..." and go nowhere.
3. I downloaded the Nougat QE1 firmware from this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/at...mware-g930a-qe1-android-7-0-6-4-2017-t3617101
4. Flashed above firmware.
5. Rebooted a couple of times and I got into first time setup within Android (I could also tell that it worked because the ATT chime came back after rebooting).
Hope this helps someone out there! Been working on this for a couple days and it is nice that it is now working

Hi guys, today I made a big mistake by thinking that it would be so easy to root on my S5 +, I was wrong, because it appear that I had the bootloop problem, i resolved it by mistake i was so lucky, I tried to put a BootLoader on Odin on AP section, an error occured on my phone, It reset it and it did come back to life Yeah WTF right ? So now that i've got my phone back ! I'm happy but still, I'm worry about my sim and I want to know if someone is listening to me (because strange things happened lately), that's why I did some research and It appear that an app does exist to prevent such thing ! it's called Snoopsnitch, Amazing isn't it ?
I've got hope that you might be able to help me to root my phone properly this time and avoiding the loopboot issue. If you can led me to do it, it would be amazing.
There is my config. I wish you a good day, night or whatever you are doing on this planet. Kiss. :victory:

Thanks for your time and your answers guys. :highfive:
Oh hi, im having the boot loop / logo problem too.
could you explain more clearly what you did to resolve that and is it still good to this day?
ive already used odin3 v3.11 and put the latest stock firmware successfully but the phone still boot loops or if lucky it will get passed the carrier screen (O2) but then as soon as i restart the phone it will boot loop again. (or boot loop randomly, if i dont restart it myself, eventually).
I havent tried TWRP or PIT as im a basic user and just wanted the stock rom.
Any updated advice? ...im worried its the memory/emmc/hardware prob
thanks
