I witnessed my transformer just spontaneously reboot. That's really weird. Anyway to figure out what's going on? I think it happened once when i was charging it over night and this time it happened while it was just idling. Those are the only 2 times i've seen it do it. Im a little freaked by it though.
Mine started doing this also recently, and it only seems to do it when docked and idle and the screen is up, if I close the lid I don't believe it's ever done it that way. I think whatever it is likely is a software issue, maybe some app I installed started making it happen becuase it only started doing it this week. I wouldn't worry too much about it, it is annoying as crud but I imagine it will be fixed with an update.
This is a Known problem, what FW version are you running?
Badwolve1
Try turn off "auto brightness".
Hey everyone. Ive been searchnig around and cant find any information on this. I was told that the tablet enters a deep sleep mode to save battery. Ive noticed that while im playing music and the tablet screen times out, after the song finishes it never moves on to the next song. Also when it wakes up the screen is unresponsive for a few seconds. I have tried a few roms and thiese issues seem to be on all of them. Anyone else having this? Any fixes?
i have a similar issue where if the screen is off for longer than about 5 minutes, the wifi disconnects. its not really a problem since it jumps back on pretty quickly, i'm more wondering if anybody else has this. and sometimes, if the screen is off longer than a day or so, it worn't wake up - i have to powercycle it...

Your wifi is disconnecting due to your wifi policy in settings.
As for the "deep sleep", I've seen this once or twice. Seems to be something endemic to the Tegra chipset itself, as it gets reported on all devices.
the screen not responding i can put up with if i have to. but i have never had these issues with 3.0.1 stock. im not downplaying any of the amazing roms out there. because i know this is an android related bug. i was told i should try another music player as some have a workaround for this issue. but google music on the tablet is the best music player imo. anyone know of a fix? can someone else also confirm that the music issue is present on their device?
Hi,
Same things here : when the screen is off, the player never goes to the next song.
Any fix ?
Siso
I've noticed this deep sleep thing a few times with HC3.1. Can't seem to wake it backup up once it's in it. Don't know about the song issue with it.
Normally when the screen goes off, i just hit the power button and it's ready for me to do my unlock pattern. But when it goes into this deep sleep, it refuses to wake up. I have to hold the power button down for about 10 seconds (no vibration noted). let go, then hold it down for about 8 seconds until I feel the "boot up" vibration.
It hasn't bothered me too much yet. It doesn't seem to do it very often. I guess I use it often enough to keep it from doing it.

Yeah, that's what i was trying to describe in the second half of my post. Much better said here, anyone else experiencing this annoying if non-frequent issue?
yes, i have a few times, on 3.01 and 3.1
both of my issues where solved in android 3.2... i am once again happy
Can you all possible update your posts with what build of 3.1 you're using?
I am in the US and was on .08 and my sleep issues from 3.0.1 were completely resolved so I'm trying to find out if it still exists on foreign builds of the ROM.
If you're on the U.S version - I know you don't want to hear this, but you might want to try a factory reset. There could be some settings 'stuck' in the system. A file that didn't get overwritten which was supposed to by the update, etc. Anything can happen. It's like going from 1 version of Linux/Windows to the next using an upgrade when you don't factory reset.
Alternatively, you could also wait for the .10 version being seeded right now to see if that helps. But as I mentioned, I didn't have the issue on my tablet so it's likely some folks are experiencing a software glitch.
Any solution to this? Any good players that would work as they should?

it appears the issue was with android 3.1 itself. try a 3.2 rom. all of the issues are gone
So recently ever since the android 5.0.0 update I have been experiencing my phone randomly shutdown, or more a less in a crashing manor since it never does the shutting down dialog it just goes black. It happens especially when my battery is below %50 but not fully discharged. At first I thought maybe it was just the stock rom and one of its possible glitchs, but then I changed over to CyanogenMod 11 and it is still doing the same thing. Im thinking its something physical with the phone because out of rage , and hopefully no judging, I punched my phone and it happened again. I dont see why it happened because and dont think that the punch was the direct cause because it happens in my pocket, and I even gave it a violent shake just to see if that was one of the problems. Has anyone experienced this? Ive looked through other posts and none of the fixes seem to work. Ive had the phone for over a year and a half and now since I installed 5.0.0 its restarting randomly.

same issue here
i am also facing same issue here and havent found any solution for the same,
any suggestions what cna be done..?
Hello guys. Last night I was just watching some youtube videos for about an hour so without any problems.
Out of nowhere the sound started to get stuck and right after the screen basicly froze and started to flash alot.
Phone wasn't hot at all and I still had about 50% battery.
Pressing buttons wouldn't do anything, I just couldn't close apps or lower volume, nothing at all!
I had to press the volume down + power button to restart the phone. After that everything was fine but i'm worried there might be something wrong with the phone. Any of you had any problems similar to this?
Thanks in advance!
Michael.
Go watch the same video again and try to see if u replicate it. Its probably a one timd thing. Never happened to me but it would scare me too

I did it right after to see if it was from the video, which actually didn't really make any sense since the whole phone wouldn't react, but I couldn't replicate it. :crying:
Happened to myself twice randomly on my S8+, and I've lost count on all of my other phones. Never really concerns me because phones these days are essentially computers and it's bound to happen every once in a while, hence why Samsung, and others, recommend doing a restart once a week. Like others stated, if you can't replicate it and as long as it's not happening anywhere from minutes to days apart then you really don't have anything to worry about.
So this happened like a week ago and I thought it was some weird coincidence but it happened again twice today. The phone just randomly shuts down, it only seems to happen while playing pubg. I'm in the middle of a game and the phone just turns off but it makes this noise like when a circuit shuts down it's not a noticeable noise but still quite weird. It happened a while ago in the middle of a game and today I opened a hotspot for a friend while playing at the same time and it did this...I also turned the hotspot off and played and it did this again.
IDK what to do...possible defective unit ? Or maybe it's a problem with the game itself ?

I guess u should go for a replacement or a refund and I think it is a battery cable problem
Yeah I think it's a battery problem too since it only seems to happen when the battery drain is high, my device is only 3 months old so its still under warranty.
I'll monitor it throughout this week, if this persists I'll definitely swing by Xiaomi.
(Device is completely stock btw even the bootloader is still locked)
Did you manage to find the problem? I got my 9T pro for around 4 months now and it also started to shut off multiple times a day. Not during any particular heavy loads or apps/games. Just random it shuts down. Really annoying and I have no Idea if this is software of hardware related problem.
