Im on a stock rom unrooted and i do a check update and it downloads a 700+mb update when i do a install it gets to 25% then then reboots and says failed to install.
Anyone else have this issue with fidos ota?
I had rooted my note 3 sm-n9005, and I cannot update via OTA. Hence I update to the latest firmware via kies 3.
After update via kies, the root is gone.
I thought now my phone was back to stock, I tried again update via OTA, it still failed. Said my phone is modified. I wonder, didn't I update back to stock firmware ? Why still saying it is modified?
I checked my current binary and system status in download mode, they are custom, why they are not stuck as I already update to the latest firmware?

Means once I rooted my phone (No matter I unroot it after that),I will never able to update via OTA right?

I downloaded the firmware update and it fails I have went to recovery and tried it fails as well. I'm stumped I have downloaded the files 5xs and done the process and it always fails please help. I have the WW version I'm on mm 6.0.1
Hello. I have a problem that I flashed the TWRP Recovery (so I could flash the xposed uninstaller, since the xposed framework doesn't work on my armeabi v7a). I was using Flashify to flash it. After I flashed I touched the reboot now button (without knowing that hitting an unofficial reboot button can make my tab on boot to recovery) and booted to the TWRP recovery and flashed the uninstaller. When I hit the Reboot System button, it booted to recovery again! I can boot to download mode, but can't boot the OS!:crying: Can someone help me fix it w/out loosing data? And also, I would like to know if I can update to the latest Android Nougat and have it rooted w/out also loosing data. Please, can someone help me?
UPDATE: I flashed the stock recovery using ODIN and now my tablet is working! :victory: Now, I ONLY need to know how can I update to Nougat without loosing root and data.
If you take the OTA update to nougat you should be able to update your system without losing your data. You may just have to reflash the SuperSU zip through twrp.
Being rooted now, it might not download the OTA update on its own. My tablet when I am on the QD1 MM build, will automatically download the OTA update for use at a later time. In your case you could download the OTA first and then do your rooting.
But I had this same problem under slightly different circumstances.
I used the Widget from the TWRP Manager app to reboot to recovery, and after I used that my Tablet would reboot to recovery and nothing else. I had to reflash the ODIN firmware to fix it.

So, you mean that if I unroot my tablet, then I could get the OTA update from the official samsung server?
Plus, if it's not the case, do you think I can use Flashfire to flash the firmware?

Yes because the OTA Update is only a couple hundred MB versus the 1.3GB size of the ODIN Firmware.
Or you can use the Samsung SmartSwitch PC app to get the official firmware downloaded and installed. But that program will just download the ODIN firmware for you which is over a GB.
Here is a link to the ODIN Firmwares available: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=154234
The build, " T350XXU1CQJ1_T350XAR1CQJ1_XAR.zip" is the Nougat 7.1.1 firmware.

One more question, the OTA detection for some reason it doesn't work. Now, I want to attempt an OTA update using FlashFire and I also selected the Modem firmware (13 MB) and the NON-HLOS.bin firmware (12 MB) and EverRoot enabled to inject SuperSU. Should I flash it like that?

I wouldn't use the ever root option. There is twrp and a supersu zip that can be used for the nougat build.
I'd let it remove root during the update and then re-root afterwards.
Hi, I updated my tablet using Smart Switch. It's working as a charm! Can you send me a link to get the twrp recovery for my tablet with Nougat? Merry Xmas!????
Hey there! I am on my build WAS-LX1AC185B172. its fully stock, unmodified, unrooted , stock recovery and bootloader locked. So i decided to update it to WAS-LX1AC185B181, this firmware is officialy available in my country via OTA, but it weighs 2.35 Gb and my internet connection is week so i was unable to download it via OTA. so instead i downloaded a FULL-OTA firmware from firmware finder app (my friend did it for me). and i want to install it through DLOAD (three buttons method) but its starts and stucks at 5% and throws an error "Update install failed" , I dont know what is going on. Kindly help me how to install this firmware, and also can it be flashed through TWRP. as the Update.zip file seems to be flashable. or is there any other method to do it.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
