I loaded USB driver. and installed PC Sync from LG site. PC Suite cannot connect (does not find) LG G2?
Connecting to PC does recognize g2 with MTP setup or PTP setup and see it as G2 device in my Computer.

It states that they are for the LG G4 F500L / S / K H815 / 818/819
It could work on others such as 811

I dont see them all i see is the LG Bridge which is useless
It may be worthless but that is what I used to get the pc drivers.
if you plug your phone into a computer and tap on the mtp notification it should bring up the usb pc connection window. if you tap the menu there should be an option for "install PC drivers". The phone should then show up as a cdrom drive with the drivers ready to be installed!

I went through this with my GS4, but can't seem to get the magic incantation right for the G4. I downloaded and installed the LG Mobile Drivers and see a "VS986 Portable Media Player" listed in Computer (Windows 7 x64) when USB PC connection is set to either MTP or PTP. Additionally, in the Device Manager an "ADB Interface" shows up without a driver when PTP is selected, but I can't find the phone listed in 'adb devices'.
How do I load the correct LG Mobile Drivers so that my system recognizes the ADB Interface?

For a brief moment, when you plug the phone into the PC, the "USB connected" notification shows "Connected as an installer" and the PC has a new CD drive. Double-click the CD and launch the installer. Once it completes, you'll have an Android Device -> LGE Mobile for VZW ADB Interface which makes 'adb devices' happy. Don't forget to authorize your computer through the pop-up on the phone.
Thanks lart2150!

Finally got mine working. A couple of things to note.
Under device manager my LG G4 was listed as a portable device -> G4
I was not getting the pop up window on my phone. I toggled developer options from on to off back to on and was then prompted to accept the RSA key fingerprint (on the phone)
All is now working.
I got them from here:

After installing this driver, I noticed my Device Manager had an exclamation point next to the G4. I was able to fix this by right clicking on the G4 in Device Manager, selecting Update Driver Software..., Browse my computer for driver software, Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer and then I selected MTP USB Device and hit Next.
My G4 was recognzied as a normal MTP device after that.

Hello, sorry to bring this up again but i have a very disturbing problem... whenever i connect my LG G4 to my Windows 7 Notebook i select the MTP/PTP category. I hear the sounds on the notebook as if sth was (dis)connected, i can see the G4 in "Devices and Printers" (unassigned) but not in the File Manager at all If i open the device manager, i just see a "Google Nexus ADB Interface" under "Android Device". Whenever i connect it to my wifes notebook (where i never ever installed any LG drivers) it works without problems :-/ It's really frustrating and i dont know what to do...
thanks <3 der
Root your android cell phone and access a huge number of highlights and utilize your versatile without confinements. Today, We will Root LG g5 Smartphone with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Establishing permits you introduce limited applications by your bearer with no limitations and LG drivers also very helpful.
if this can help
Hi. Sorry for writing here so many years later, but I hope I can help somebody coming to this thread.
If Windows does nothing when you connect the phone, try to uninstall (don't delete drivers) the USB Hubs one by one from Device Manager, then do a new hardware scan. Windows/adb detected my LGG4 this way.
I see Windows going a bit crazy with some USB devices. I get pendrives recognized on one USB connector and ignored on others! I think that using Safe Extract, sometimes 'extracts' not only the device but the whole USB Hub or card reader.
Regards.
Hello my problem is that after i Upgraded to Official Android 5 the USB connection to the PC (windows) not work.
Windows Explorer works fine i can transfer file but Lg Soppurt tool doesnt find my device and all the root scripts doesnt find it too. What can i do?
If it's charging and transferring data then it seems like a driver issue.
Try downloading and installing latest drivers.
So LG Bridge doesn't support Nougat yet, and Commander One is very hit or miss, in fact I can only use Commander One when I reboot to recovery and mount the USB, but even then it only shows my sdcard and not internal memory.. So I'm just wondering what are you guys using software wise to connect your LG to your MacBook's and browse the files to drag and drop into the MacBooks SSD or even an external HDD that's connected to the computer..??? I'm trying to backup my phone by dragging and dropping, but doesn't seem like an easy task as much of the software out there isn't 7.0 compatible yet..
Thanks..
Android file transfer for mac. Mac doesnt properly support the MTP connection for the v20. so AFT works
Use Android file transfer for file backups, but if you truly want to use LG bridge for a more complete backup then it seems Windows is really the only choice in my experience for it to work properly.
Thanks guys..
Any Linux users managed to get LG Bridge working? I've tried running the Windows version with Wine but it crashes immediately.
I got it to run on Arch by installing lib32-libldap, but I can't get it to recognize the device via USB. (I'm working with an LG 360 camera.)
Solutions?
Running on Antergos but it cannot detect my phone via USB... Same problem. Any solutions? I'm running it in Wine and I installed the Windows LG K30 drivers for my phone.
Dual boot using grub?
I mean, some things are more trouble, to get them to work, then they are worth (assuming you even can). I hate windows, but I can boot it, not connect to the internet (thus no malware concerns), run specific things, reboot linux. It works for me.
Using a virtual machine worked fine for me.
well not certain about bridge but to get adb + fastboot + mtp working
sudo apt-get install adb
sudo apt-get install fastboot
*enable usb debugging on phone & connect as usual
for mtp file or photo just google install instructions for libdl
i got here searching for lgup on linux ... thought I'd leave a bit of useful advive & leave
guess I'm sol in regards to LG tool to flash .kdz file on linux ...
aaah well life after windows
