Hello all,
I am trying to enable my boot sound. When my phone boots up I hear no sound. I am currently running cm9 4.0.4. If anyone can help I would be thankful. Thanks.

wow thnx.
Hi friends, I recently installed the new Vine app for android. I know it still has some bugs but my problem is this:
When I open the app I can use everything fine, but when I try to record a new video the app crashes and immediately reboots the S4.
My S4 is an international I9500 and I have the Russian unbranded AMDK firmware.

anyone? you just have to install it from Play Store and test it out guys. I just want to confirm it's not a problem with my device. Thank you!
Here is a link to the Vine APP https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=co.vine.android
Vine records video with no problems on my i9500 (WanamLite ME1 V1.2 / Adamkernel 1.3.2)
Anyone has tried yet with a stock ROM?

I have. Update 1.0.2 didn't fix the problem... waiting for 1.0.3.
It's not recording for me either. I have a GSII (sprint) running SuperNexus 4.2.2. I installed it on my friend's S3 and had no problems with it.

Is it crashing and rebooting your stock i9500 too?

What are your symptoms?

So must be a ROM or Kernel problem. It should not be a hardware related problem as our friend with a custom ROM is not having problems at all.

It seems to be custom ROM problems and the people at Vine say there's a bug. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313136
They just don't say when there will be a fix.
As for now, I get the super long "initializing" then the screen seems fine, press to record and I get the crash and the message saying Vine app has closed.
Ok, so I guess we'll just have to wait for a fix from Vine. Hope they do it soon.

I get exactly the same problem on Galaxy S2 i9100p running SuperNexus. Doesn't that link from the Vine developer (if it's genuine) suggest it's an issue that needs fixing on the ROM side of things? As he says "it did not implement one of the camera method..that we are relying on to work properly. Just want to let you guys know what the problem is"
Hi guys, i love your rom Im using the latest nightly for Mint and i just saw that offline charging doesnt work.
Is there a way to fix this? Flash some file or something?
That is device specific. Please file a bug report at http://jira.omnirom.org

Hi guys,
I have installed the pac ROM with this kernel: 3.4.92--KT-SGS4-KK4.4-AOSP-INTL-06.09.2014--KTOONSEZ #1. I have a GT-I9505 s4 and I have found that the gyroscope is not working, The phone won't flip screen to landscape, and I can't play any car games that need you to tilt the screen for steering.
I have spoken to the PAC man, and he told me it's not the ROM that's the problem, but the kernel. My question is, how can I fix this issue? Load a different kernel? if so, can I do that without wiping everything off my phone? I have rooted a few phones before so not completely newbie, but not that familiar with it all either.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this!
Thanks in advance,
John
Try making a backup just in case and try to get another kernel I had problems with kernels before too and I dident have to wipe stuff

It was indeed the kernel.
