Theoretical root for SM-J320VPP?

So it's been a while since discussion about this specific model, but I was wondering if it would be at all possible to root this with Magisk?
Since Magisk can apply root by patching boot image file, I figured it could technically be possible since in this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j3-2016/help/galaxy-j3-sm-j320vpp-configuring-cdma-t3414049
There is a link to a flashable ZIP to "access GSM" with this model phone, found here:
https://mega.nz/#!mtNEibLa!NmVJ7RM0fSDwXdD3CTKi0fVQgYdIMP6m8THRQLyJQRw
The interesting thing about it is that ZIP contains a boot.img file, so what I was wondering, would that the stock boot image file needed for Magisk?
There isn't much information about what's supplied in that ZIP nor have people mentioned it's use or anything, but I was wondering if it could at all be tested to possibly work. Or if whatever is in that ZIP is even the stock firmware.
I can't necessarily test it myself since I need my phone however, can anyone verify the contents of the ZIP or boot.img? It would be a pretty convenient if this was all it takes.
Without root I doubt you will be able to flash anything that isn't an official Samsung firmware update. And depending on which branding your device has,you may not even be able to flash firmware of any type whether it be an update or full firmware. Some carriers insist that Samsung fully lock down the bootloader thus completely crippling the device. U.S. carriers doing this are various. Especially if it is pre-paid. Best advice is to research any device before you purchase it. See if root has been achieved. If not and that device has been out for some time. Avoid it. Pick a device you know has gained root from among the choices offered by any carrier. It would seem you have one of the many locked bootloader turd phones put out by Verizon,Sprint,TRACTURD and so forth. Locked bootloader that won't recognize any flash that isn't signed. Odin or not the flash will fail. Time to flush that turd and find a better alternative.

Question regarding stock boot image of note 3 SM-N9005

Hi, i want to install Magisk via magisk manager to root my note 3 and hide the root access from certain apps, but before this i need to dump stock boot image before install magisk. I can't find any way to backup the stock boot image from my phone without root the phone first. So i am thinking whether the boot.img inside firmware file as show in below sammobile link is the exactly same stock boot image in my phone? If it is the same file then i no need manually backup the stock boot image from my phone. I had used the phone for few years and i just worry that it will become boot-loop or bricked after i install magisk. Thank you.

HELP! Nova 3i / INE-LX2 TWRP Image

Hello All,
Is there an existing working TWRP for Nova 3i? I tried searching, I found one image that claims to be for Nova 3i from the site stupdroid . com.
I was able to flash it, but once I'm inside TWRP, the phone just restarts in maybe 5-10 seconds and just doesn't allow me to do anything.
So now I have an unlocked bootloader with no way to root
I hope someone can help.
P.S. I've asked Supersonic27543 but unfortunately, he/she doesn't have the copy anymore.

Sorry for the delay. Here's how, (Remember to unlock the bootloader before this!)
First, download the update.zip for this device (you can find it in Huawei Firmware Finder, remember to download the Full OTA)
Extract the update.zip, you'll see a file named update.app. Download "Huawei Update Extractor", and open the update.app with it.
Now you'll see a list of partitions. Extract the "ramdisk" partition (an . IMG file), and copy it to the Internal Storage of your device.
Download and Install Magisk Manager on your device. Open it, and press Install>Install>Patch Boot Image. Select the ramdisk image you copied to your Internal Storage. Magisk will save a patched image to /sdcard/Download/patched_boot.img.
Now install that image in Fastboot, by "fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img".
Now your device should be rooted with Magisk. If for some reason your device doesn't boot, you can flash the stock ramdisk (before patching) by using the same command as above. (replace patched_boot. img with the image name) That'll cause loss of root.
Good luck!

Has anyone tried this? Also, will this kill off OTA?
Currently running EMUI 9.0.1.130

What you should know and think about before rooting your device.

Attempting to root a ONN device that hasn't gotten a guide posted for it might be a bit of a pain if your a beginner.
Rooting might require you to make your own scatter file using wwrMTK and dump the files from your device yourself using SP Flash Tool which might be a bit hard for beginners to understand how to do so.
Flashing images (.img) from untrusted sources.
Other people's images or images from untrusted sites could contain malicious modifications to the image that could harm or brick your device so be careful and make you trust the site or person that uploaded the image file.
The risk of installing malicious software.
Most of the software like SP Flash Tool or wwrMTK mostly don't have a official source to get them so you risk installing tempered or malicious versions of the software which may harm your device or the device running the software.
TWRP or a custom rom might not be available.
Unofficial builds can take some time to make and build so they might not be available for your device model as of yet so if you just want to install TWRP or a custom rom onto your device it might not be available so check your device model and check if there's a build for it on this forum.
Rooting isn't as simple as getting the official firmware files.
If you want to use the Magisk method you have keep note that there is no site to download the firmware files officially also it's not on ONN's official website so the firmware can be modified so it's best to get your own firmware files straight from your device to patch with Magisk.

Failed to root my Samsung Galaxy S10+. G975F/DS. Boot-loop after root.

Hello all !
I followed this tutorial on how to root my Galaxy S10+ : https://www.thecustomdroid.com/samsung-galaxy-s10-root-guide/ but there are 2 problem:
1st: At the Step6, the file name isn't exactly magisk_patched.tar but magisk_patched-25200_xLm0q.tar. Is this a problem ?
2nd: at Step 10, when I want to exit the Download Mode (Volume Down and Power button for over 7s), the phone get in a boot-loop (which I found online that it means the phone can't find a proper OS to boot on)
How can I know what I'm doing wrong ? I have a doubt on the stock firmware I found on Frija:
my phone is a G975F-DS and there is no "G975F-DS" but only "G975F"
I can't use Phone Info Sam because the link is broken/the app doesn't exist anymore ? When I type *#1234# the CSC code is G975FOXMGHWA3. I searched OXM but couldn't find anything on Frija so I search and I've read that OXM is not the correct CSC Code so I went to Software INFO and in the Service provider software version it's written ...SM-G975F_OXM_XSP... so I chose the XSP firmware and did the root with it until the phone boot-looped.
My service provider now in KT in Korea, does it make a difference ?
Thank you for reading me
Edit: I found Phone INFO ★SAM★ 3.8.5 By vndnguyen on APK Mirror and it says " Firmare's CSC Code: XEF" and "Active CSC Codes: XSP". Which one is correct ?
Reflash the stock firmware, then flash TWRP and flash Magisk in TWRP.
First Flash Offical firmware (BL,AP,CP,CSC)
Then Patch AP file by magisk

The firmware must be flashed first
Then you make a patch from the AP file
The baseband of the device must be identical to the firmware from which the root file is made

Patching the AP.tar doesn't always work.
@Constantine1711 just flash the original firmware in Odin, then follow the guide in the TWRP thread for this device to install TWRP. Once you have TWRP installed, flash Magisk in TWRP. No need to rename it to .zip, just install it like you would any other zip

NEVER download Magisk from anywhere but the official Magisk repo. That is the ONLY trustworthy source; any other source is not affiliated with the project and may be malware.

The risk is malware, like a virus. If you've had questionable apps with root access, I would absolutely recommend you perform a clean factory flash.

Is this one a good one ?
Is it just me getting older or rooting a device got much more complicated than before ? (I use to root PSP/playstation2 and 3 in the past)
I missed having full control of my device so I thought to root my phone but it's seems so complicated for so little reward
Edit: I tried to follow the official Magisk tutorial but I failed so I'm just gonna stop trying here. Sorry for wasting your time guys !
