Help removing custom firmware - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me, I have a Galaxy Tab Active specifically the model SM-T360, which literally I found on the side of the road while walking along with some bags of garbage and pieces of computers you see that they had wet since there were watermarks the only thing I decided to take was the tablet (hoping anything) and when I got home I put it to charge and surprise it works! the problem is that it has a firmware modified by Chevron, I have tried to install all the firmwares that I have found through Odin and nothing, some simply do not boot and those that do it appear again the Modified Firmware, not even the pattern is removed (which I know), but everything is blocked I can not access options or anything, you can only use the Chevron applications, I would like to know if anyone has any idea what I can do to use it as a normal tablet. Thanks in advance!

[Q] (noob needs help) rooting my sprint galaxy s5

Hi all,
I recently decided on trying my hand at rooting my s5, have done my research and this is where i wanted to take my phone, and where to come for help.
Ive gone through Odin v3.07 and no COM's would register, i tried tool kit but it wouldn't start after i installed drivers and such, there was a third one i found through threads in here as well but to no avail, nothing has proved any results.
so this is where you all can swoop in and save the day, when I used Odin (which seems to yield the furthest results) the only trouble im having is opening my phone in the ID:COM section. When I plug my s5 into my linux mint 10.something hp notebook (which could be the whole problem all together), with a v2 or v3 usb it registers as gFTP and I can do very little with the files there. like i noted above, toolbox didnt even open, nor could i even figure out what to do with the third thing i tried using. so, my last resort, a community that actually knows what they're doing...
What advice/guidance can you all pert to me? what do you think the problem might be? do i need to perform a factor reset to root my phone? is it the operating systems i am working on? i tried briefly on a mac osx 10. something and now am on a linux mint.
i am not very tech savy but can pick things up fairly quickly, so pretend im dumb and give explicit detail and i will pick up what you miight be talking about more easily.
P.S. I am NOT a robot lol
I have been searching through different android support pages today and everyone seems to resolve their rooting issues easily. though their solutions dont seem to provide me with any answers. i can list any info needed for further diagnostics, but to label a few outright, i have enabled usb debugging in developer mode, tried different usb ports and before/after phone is in downlaod mode, i have SM_G900P 4.4.4 and anything else you need, to help me

Oops-a-daisy (flashed wrong version of stock rom)

I wanted to root my Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F UK carrier H3G) so I could use the mirroring option in Airdroid.
Long story short, I'm severely disabled so wanted full access to my phone whilst on my pc, without struggling to get my phone all the time. (SWTOR Security Key is one of the many reasons for wanting to not have to grab my phone every time I need to do something on it)
(I can't put phone where it's easily accessible whilst on pc, because of the board I use for keyboard and mouse rested across the arms of my chair)
I THOUGHT I had it sussed, as I had successfully rooted and booted my S3, S4 and Note 2, 3 and 8.0 devices.
However, I didn't read the fine print when using CF-autoroot in that it doesn't work on 5.1.1 atm. Or something along those lines...
Anyway, with my usual eagerness and impatience to do geeky/nerdy deeds, I ended up with my phone in a constant boot loop no matter what I tried.
I scoured the Internet for 3 hours, trying to find the original stock rom for my device and was livid that my usual Google-Fu was failing miserably.
I found one, so I thought, installed the kernel, (couldn't find stock kernel either) installed SuperSU, installed Twprs or whatever it is, (excuse my lack of knowledge please) then installed this "stock" rom.
Turns out it possibly IS the H3G network's Stock Note 4 (SM-N910F) ROM. IF I lived in Italy.
I still would like root access on my phone, but I would like to try and get stock rom back, or something EXCEPTIONALLY similar.
Please, again, excuse my apparent thickness... (and I'm not talking sliced bread here) is it the kernel where rooting takes place, the ROM, or do both have to be involved in the adaptation?
I know very very little about Linux and kernels etc.
I hope that I have described my predicament clearly, and that when one has picked oneself up off the floor from rolling around with much merriment, one (anyone) is able to assist with my screw up.
Best wishes,
(Applebogies for waffling on more than the meat content of a Belgian Blue, (I'm not talking Blue Waffle, but of four legged animals that chew the cud)
(Applebogies also for mentioning The Waffle of Blue-ness in more than one sense of the word, if it makes you Google it and you only just ate and you've never seen it before)
(Finally, applebogies for my rotten and feeble attempts humour, please try to cut through my crap and get to the point ofwhat my conundrum actually is)
So basically in a nutshell, you've bricked your phone? I do know that when I flashed stock ROM the other day, I had to pull the battery, boot into recovery (vol up + home + power) and wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache too. Then it booted just fine try that.
you can find different stock roms for your phone at sammobile (google it) download the firmware from there and flash it with odin. Watch youtube videos on how to flash firmware with odin. its simple
See if you can boot the phone into Download Mode via volume up+home+power. If it boots into download mode that means its not hard bricked. If it doesnt boot into DL the first time you try, do a battery pull for 15-20 seconds, then try again. If that doesnt work, then check your specific device versions forum for an unbrick method, and check for a general unbrick that can be used for all N4's.
If it does boot into download mode, download the stock firmware for your specific N4, flash it via Odin, (instructions are generally included in the thread where you find the stock ROM download) and you should be good to go after that.
Edit: SamMobile does indeed have a firmware for your specific device. Do a google search for sammobile, go to that site, and input SM-N910F into the device search bar. That will take you to a page with a list of firmwares. Theres a list box where you can select your country, that includes country and carrier combinations. Yours will be listed as United Kingdom (H3G)(H3G). Select firmware with PDA version N910FXXU1COJ3.
Not sure why you all think my phone is bricked, I am on it now?
I am however, currently running the Italian version of 3 mobile rom. Looks like asrah has solved that problem though xD
To shorten my previous post:
Where does root happen, on kernel or rom?
Ie - can I have stock rom but still have root access on my phone?
Thank you to asrah for finding my rom.
Thanks all and a very Merry Christmas!

Unable to update MX4 Pro and several other issues

Hey guys,
I've bought my MX4 Pro almost a year ago, but decided only now to ask for your help. Hope you'll be able to guide me to fixing the several problems i have.
First of all, phone came with Flyme 4.5.7I and right from the start there were some features not working. Most important, the fingerprint screen unlock isnt working. After capturing my fingerprint, when i try to enable it to unlock screen it just takes me back to the home screen.
Another issue is getting sometimes (it happens randomly) a no sim error. Sometimes restarting is enough, sometimes i need to take out the sim card and insert it back.
Ever since i've tried to update firmware, hoping it would solve my problems. Nothing has worked.
Dowloaded the update.zip (no matter which version) and placed it in root directory. When i try to open it with the document app i get two options, view and extract. Can't update. Also starting the phone using volume+ and power button (update screen) has always produced the same results: Firmware corrupt. Tried doing it with clearing data, without that, no difference. Tried with a .bin file, same thing.
As far as i know the bootloader is locked, and i remember checking if the device is properly rooted and IT IS NOT.
So, the more android savvy people here can help? I'm lost and i really enjoyed the phone so far, but i dont really know what to do from now on. Is it a faulty device? (This would be the worse, since the phone was bought from China).
I can provide any additional details if needed.
Thanks in advance
P.S. I remember trying every tutorial/solution out there, nothing has seemed to work. I also may be dumb, not sure.

Using USB tool to bypass FRP reduced the amount of system memory from 32GB to 8GB?

Admin, sorry, but the suggestions were close, but no cigar...
So I got sick and tired of trying to Google "Google FRP bypass" on Nougat 7.0 (Google got "smart" and hid those?)...
I went through Cellunlocker, and they did a remote desktop connection, downgraded my S6 Edge plus from 7.0 to 6.0.
After they downgraded my OS, they used some tools, like usbredirector.exe and some others, I couldn't see their computer screen... so I don't know what else they used, they managed to bypass the FRP, I was presented with the home screen! Yeah! The download of the OS took a little under an hour, but the bypass took mere minutes. I trust them to unlock, and do FRP bypass.
After that though, I noticed that the 32GB that's supposed to be there, ISN'T.
It is now only 8GB.
I've yet to hear back from them... But, I thought I'd ask here.
I was given a Stock ROM from Poland or something (I've the International model.) It is loaded with the usual bloatware that Samsung and Google hands out. I barely got enough room to sideload Super SU (Google Play wouldn't as the memory requirements weren't met.)
I tried to upgrade to Nougat 7.0 which did work, but I've no idea where the rest of the memory disappeared to.
Factory reset doesn't work, and I tried to free up some space by sideloading system/app/mover, and it fails, stating that "couldn't remount /system."
Has anybody else experienced this issue, and is there a fix for this?

Find stock rom with .pit file and flash in odin
I was given stock ROM 6.0, but I don't know if it has the .pit file... How would I know? I use the samtool to get the ROM from Samsung, wouldn't it have it? Please and Thanks again!
Also, does that determine whether or not we have 32GB VS 64GB? Or is there a physical limitation? There must be, but just curious if I load the .pit for a 64GB device, could I be THAT lucky?
Frp bypass Oreo Samsung Galaxy s6 plus
I’m sorry I’m posting to wrong area but I can’t figure out how to post I think I’m having a brain overload Can someone please help me I’ve spent the last three days trying to bypass FRP lock on the Samsung S6 plus for my daughter because she got scammed and got a phone that was in a lock on craigslist I have tried every and all forms where I seem to get stuck each time is downloading the driver for Samsung USB driver it downloads from all the sites but none of them work or show up in my device manager so all the methods are impossible at that point what is it that I’m doing wrong.
The .pit file does indeed determine 32gb or 64gb... without It, 8gb. Also I have a copy of.... wait... is that the S6 Edge +? If so I have original stock with proper. Pit file. If not, you have to keep looking... hope this helps.

SAMSUNG T580 Galaxy Tab A firmware T580XXS5CTK1 FRP Lock

Hi All,
I'm really sorry, I'm completely new to all this so hope I'm posting in the right area and explain this issue correctly!
I purchased a dead SAMSUNG T580 Galaxy Tab off ebay and managed to repair the hardware fault which I was pleased about but then encountered the dreaded FRP lock so I still can't use the thing. It's running firmware T580XXS5CTK1 and I've no idea what to do with it now, it's not got the assist option when trying the add network trick, so then I thought I could perhaps use Odin with combination firmware but the only combination firmware I could find even remotely similar was T580XXU5ATD1 which I didn't really expect to work and I was right, the tab just got stuck in a loop and I ended up re-flashing with the T580XXS5CTK1 to get it back to starting correctly.
Does anyone have any suggestions how I can get rid of this lock please? I only bought the thing as an amusement thing during lockdown but it'd be nice to get it fully functional!

Sorry to say, but FRP is there for a reason. Best to get another device which is unlocked
I got a similar problem. Stuck on 32% with "no command".
For usual, I frozen the emergency service, but I unfrozen all to update apps in samsungs store.
After a restart I got a frp lock, rom was a modified stock of T580XXS5CTK1 and twrp.
I was surprised that I can't solve it this time.
I know fully acc details and pin, but how to use it?
I bought another Tablet, but the A6 is a unique one, I would be very thankful for some help.
I don't know a tablet is solid, stable and easy to repair like A6, some games it still can handle.
Original packaging, invoice, all available, password and pin known, help me please.
