FRP Lock - Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) Questions & Answers

Hi!
My brother told me to "clean" his phone and I did a factory reset.
After it booted up I had to use the previous google account (his).
He forgot it and I tried every flashing method I knew, but to no avail.
Any help ?

You need to flash your stock firmware from sammobile using odin.
I believe after flashing frp would be unlock by default. You could verify by checking developers option.

[Q] Not able to turn off reactivation lock

Hi!
For some strange reason, after flashing a rom, I can't turn off the reactivation lock of my phone. I uncheck it, but when I enter download or recovery mode, it is still turned on..
Anyone faced something like that? Any suggestion would be fine.
Thanks and regards!

It occurs toghether with a boot loop problem, such as described in other thread on this forum..maybe they are related?

me too.I have the same problems as you did. Reactivation lock on. always boot loop. HOW to lock off
I had a similar issue. I can't remember exactly how I got there, but I had the boot loops and wasn't able to flash anything via Odin/twrp. The way I solved it was by flashing a stock rom through Odin (equivalent to my build number not a newer one as that wouldn't flash either)

Hey i had the same problem and solved it. I have tried many things like reflashing recovery and afther that reflashing root and those went failed.
-->I was unable to do factory default.
-->reactivation lock was unchecked but was strangly still active
-->I also tried reflashing the stock firmware from
HTML:
www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
and strangly enough this one completed 100% and it solved my problem with reactivation lock.
so the only way to solve this issues is to flash the stock rom ?
Me too with lollipop
Hi I'm ressurecting this subject because I just have the problem and i'm not able to install another recovery or root my device. Even installing a stock rom fom Sammobile doesn't solve the problem :crying:
Every time i uncheck lock reactivation button it steels activate
I'm using lollipop BNL9 stock rom
Thanks for help

This exact thing is happening to my galaxy s5 running lollipop firmware. I cannot unchecked the reactivation lock in security, even with the correct password. I can't flash custom recovery or root cause reactivation lock always enables Odin to fail! Did you find any solutions?

Yes at last I called Samsung support to get help and and athe solution may be problematic for some people. In fact you need to suppress your Samsung Service account at http://account.samsung.com :crying: , after that reboot your phone and that's it. You can now check in download mode that reactivation lock is now :fingers-crossed: . When you do that you will loss all apps you buy through Galaxy Apps and nedd to eventually recreate a new account,if needed.

Thanks for your help! I didn't read this until after I tried another solution. I flashed stock 4.4.2 and I could uncheck without any hassle. It seems Lollipop was the problem.
Hey.
Having the same problem here. What do you mean with "suppress your Samsung Service account"? Delete the account?

by "suppressing" the account, do you mean deleting the samsung account? because i dont see any other option there.
i dont want to lose my data and apps, so a factory reset is out of option.
Infortunately yes. You must delete your Samsung account

Thanks buddy.. Just one more question.. deleting the account wont affect anything else than the paid galaxy apps.. right? i mean, will it interfere with other phone functionalities or not?
Edit: I just deleted my samsung account online and restarted my phone. Still unable to uncheck the reactivation lock. any ideas?
Edit: I had to factory reset my phone from the stock recovery. When it booted it asked for samsung account password, I clicked on forgot password, created a new password from my laptop and used that to login to the samsung account. After that I was unable to uncheck the reactivation lock. Downside is that I had to lose my data, I could get my apps back from the google account.
I think the account is not deleted because I had exactly the same symptoms before deleting my account.
Did you follow my link on the previous messages?

my phone is locked - reactivation doesnt work

I deleted my samsung account because i was following a how to for deleting the reactivation lock but something went wrong and now i deleted my account and i have no acces anymore to my phone I did a factory reset and now i'm stuck on the screen where i put my samsung account details. Is there any way of activating the phone again or is the phone rerady for the garbage bin?

Sm-T580 FRP lock and custom binary blocked by frp. Cant flash twrp recovery.

So im trying to install twrp recovery but when i try to flash it thru odin, i get a Custom Binary (RECOVERY) blocked by FRP lock. I cant factory reset because it also disabled by FRP. I cant verify the tablet because i dont know the account information as the tablet was bought through craigslist. I have tried flashing a stock firmware version and that installed fine, but i still couldnt get past the verify screen. So thats when i decided to try and flash twrp but came into the binary error. I have been trying for the past two days to find a way around the verify identity and the frp lock. I cant enable oem unlock. I have tried rootjunky method but OTG flash wont pull up the file manager when plugged into the tablet. I cant use adb because i cant enable the developer settings because you guessed it i cant get past verify identity screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you need to find the Combination Firmware.

It only works with certain versions of 6. The one ending is PL4 is the one you want. The trick is in adding the fake wifi network instead of connecting to your home network. Pay close attention to the beginning of the video.

You have to use Odin to install PL4. You can't flash it via TWRP. Also, make sure you wipe everything first.

Yea but when I try to factory wipe it says mdm doesn't allow factory reset and reboots and takes me back to that same black screen. I can only wipe cache partition. I will post a picture of the screen when I get home.

Tried this as well. I did it about 20 times before giving up. I might try it again and do it about 30 to 50 times. If I was just able to get to settings I'd be straight but I can't get to the settings so that's why I'm trying to reset it as a completely new device. Do you know if I could flash the 7 inch tab A firmware onto the smt580? Or flash the smt585 firmware onto the t580 and flash the BL AP and CSC?

From what I've read, Airwatch MDM lock can't be removed by flashing ANYTHING. It is third party anti-theft protection that has nothing to do with what ROM is installed. I know I ran into their stuff a few years ago with a used laptop I bought and only Airwatch was able to solve the problem after contacting their customer and verifying the laptop wasn't stolen.

I did end up finding this. Seems the device is completely locked with no way to get around. When i flashed the device i may have deleted the admin privilages so there is no way of gettting around it as of now. I might end up paying someone to fix it or get around it or i wasted 180$ on a locked device. The guy i bought it from either blocked my number or deactivated his number as i cant get in contact with him. Pretty pissed. Thanks for all the help tho
I had the black screen password happen to me when I downgraded my SM-P580 from Android 7 to 6. Try clearing the cache. If that doesn't work, try reflashing, then turn it off and reboot to recovery and clear the cache.

Do you think if i changed the CSC to a different region on the tablet, and put a unlocked bootloader on it, would it might get rid of the frp lock? Do you happen to have a smt580? If so do you think there is anyother way of getting around this? say if i flashed like your firmware on to my tablet? Im desperate to get this thing unlocked as i would be out 180$ :crying:. Thanks for all your help so far. I really appreciate it man. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far.
Or what if i downgrade it to 6.1 and then downgrade it again to a even farther back version? Do you think this might work and gett me around the black screen? If so then i would be able to bypass the google verify account. Ima go ahead and try it unless its a risk of bricking the tablet completely.
I also read somewhere that if i flash the cp part on odin that it will erase all data. Think that might be worth a shot? But what do i need to insert in the cp slott? I know BL goes to BL and AP to AP and CSC home goes in CSC. So what goes in the cp slot?
EDIT: So instead of putting csc home in the csc slot i put the other csc file in its place. I checked the re partition box. When i did this i got a new message on the tablet in the top left of tthe download mode that says FRP is enabled, ignore PIT download. Any idea what this means?

How to recover Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) without factory reset?

Hello, I need to access Galaxy Tab SM-P585 which belonged to a friend who has passed away, so pattern, pin and Google account info are unknown. Also firmware is original from Samsung, developer mode is disabled and OEM locked. The only options available are recovery mode, where I can do a factory reset or enter sideload mode, and download mode. I have found this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49666433 to bypass pattern but custom recovery is needed to use either Pattern Password Disable or Aroma File Manager methods. Then I have tried to install TWRP via this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...covery-official-twrp-galaxy-tab-10-1-t3473023 via Odin however device returns error "Blocked by FRP Lock" which from my search is either Google or Samsung https://www.samsung.com/us/support/frp/ Is there a way to access this device without factory reset?

Try and reflash it using Odin with a stock firmware, that might work. Get your firmware from Sam Mobile firmwares. Just make sure you get the exact corresponding firmware...

Thanks, I've looked up for SM-P585 model but found only firmwares for ME and Africa. Tried with South African version but got SECURE CHECK FAILED (BOOTLOADER) error, which I believe is because it is not exactly the same version. From the recovery menu I've found out that I need 7.0/NRD90M/T585XXU2BRB2 version (multi region) so now downloading from samsunggalaxyrom and getdroidtips. I'll see how it goes with either one...
P.S. From the instructions "Use CSC_*** if you want to do a clean flash or HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data." so I'll use HOME_CSC_ file to keep apps and the data.

If you use CSC it will wipe the device along with any security measures set up and basically put the device back to factory setup.

Unfortunately HOME_CSC didn't work, security settings were still there, so I have applied CSC. However now FRP requires me to logon using original Google account, even after factory reset, so this functionally means that device is only for a dumpster?

T550 - Passcode Lock / MDM Won't allow reset

Hey All
Was looking for some help. I have a Galaxy sm-t550 with a passcode lock. I am unable to do a hard reset (holding down power + volume up + home button) because this device has been locked to an MDM, so that option is out.
I have successfully flashed the stock firmware using Odin downloaded from SamMobile. The issue is that is hasn't erased the user data and I'm back where I started. The only file contained in the download was the AP file (No BL or CSC). Is there a way to flash with Odin using this file to completely erase the old user data? Maybe it's simple but couldn't find this exact situation on the forum.
Thanks!

Install the combination firmware then factory reset from settings. Hopefully it should wipe mdm.
Enable OEM unlock also in developer settings if it's available.

I'm in the same boat. Son bought a tablet on Offerup. Dude quickly removed his seller profile. Son didn't even test to see if the device was locked as the buyer quote on quote told him "That the device was just dead and needed a charge." Device can't be factory reset due to MDM lock.
No idea what the password may be.
Unable to reach encryption settings to force the device to wipe itself due to a password..
Feels like he just bought a really expensive paperweight. Mind helping? I'll post any other information that is needed.

I'd say pop a sim card in and sync it with the mdm database
Cannot find a way to do it otherwise,
