Yes it has, mine is H870 DEC and I have unlocked the bootloader and root.
If it's H870 then yes, no matter which region it is. Other variants like H870S/DS are unlockable.

That's not true at all, sudamerican models are H870 also and don't have unlockeable bootloader. Only carrierfree H870 model and US carrier free model can be unlocked.

yep, my phone its h870 mexico, and i cant unlock the boot

so the bootloader unlock is now availabe for the (European H870) and it's a good thing but what about the other users from around the world?, now the question is will there ever be a way to unlock the bootloader for the other variants like the h870s?

so I just ran into a weird problem. My device is US997 i tried to get the bootloader unlock code from LG and after filling the form with IMEI and Device - ID, the error message returned "Your device (LGH870) is not supported for bootloader unlock. My device is LGUS997, and either way isnt H870 variant unlockable too? anyone else face this issue?
Can branded versions of the LG G6 H870 from European countries (specifically Italy) be bootloader unlocked?
Specifically Vodafone Italy (VDI), but if somebody have a more helpful list or something that would be great.
I could only find an old references and it's only regarding the G4 (post from almost 2 years ago) at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63938998&postcount=287

I've heard that not all models of us997 support unlock the bootloader.Who can confirm that B&H sales us997 can unlock the bootloader

If it says its carrier free and unlocked bootloader. It should be what it says it is i.e , a Us997 version. I'd recommend you message B&H and enquire about this. I purchased a H870 from an Europe website which stated carrier free and unlocked bootloader and it turned out to be an unlockable version.

The devices sold from B&H are supported.

Hey guys, i've got my lg g6 from Israeli so i tried to unlock bootloader on LG website, they said this phone bootloader cannot be unlocked.
You guys have this problem, you have managed to unlock g6 from Israeli?

As far as I know H870 and US997 are the only unlockable models.

I thought to re-register to LG developer and change the country of origin.

It won't change anything, if the phone is not european you cannot unlock the bootloader.

Let say I bought the us977 model and try to unlock it out side from US, Does it work?

My assumption, if I will change my region to... UK or something else in Europe it will send me the unlock code.
Now let say I get the code, do u think I should go for it?

If you get the code it'll be alright, but if the site says that the bootloader cannot be unlocked after inserting device id and IMEI than it's not an European H870
Hi i am having lg g6 h870ds(Indian varient) and i want to unlock bootloader to install custom roms and fully enjoy the hard work of XDA developers. I've tried to unlock it but the lg developers site doesn't give the unlock file to Indian varient. So how could I unlock the bootloader

Unfortunately you cannot unlock the bootloader of your phone, I'm sorry.
Only unbranded US997 and European H870 can

No, you can't.
Even if you could do that it wouldn't allow you to unlock the bootloader, it's not the firmware, but the id and imei that identifies the device.
@KiLLau96 i dont know how you have the tolerance to answer question about DS G6's every second day. I get frustrated repeatedly reading the same question that have been answered a million times. PS I'm a DS owner.
