It appears that BT Mobile and EE now support WiFi calling and VoLTE on the mate 9 in the UK. This may be old news to EE customers but BT Mobile have only just started rolling out VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling in the last few days or so.
I'm running Oreo and both work flawlessly despite the abovementioned networks not listing the Mate 9 as supported.
If you're on these networks in the UK turn on Wi-Fi calling by going in to Settings, Wireless & networks, Mobile networks and Wi-Fi calling.
According to EE's website, Wi-Fi calling is only available to pay monthly customers (BT mobile only has pay monthly customers).

What does it mean when it says my phone is a network extender?

I have the same issue. My Verizon signal is terrible at my brothers home, barely one bar as is AT&T. He has an signal booster from AT&T. Obviously my phone is not compatible with said booster, I suspect it picks up that signal over my Verizon, therefor "Network Extender" is displayed on my drop down menu as well.

It's not saying your phone is a network extender, it's CONNECTED to a network extender..
As for it using the AT&T extender (in the 2nd post), have him log into it and block your phones ESN from his extender, and it won't use it anymore.
Thanks!

Hey,
I bought galaxy s8 US unlocked version while traveling in USA it was flawless there, now I'm back in Europe. Everything works just fine except mobile internet. I can't get 4G LTE+ and having only LTE, which is slow comparing to LTE+. So I checked if there could be a problem with frequencies in willmyphonework.net.

It says that there shouldn't be any problems, so now I'm confused, maybe this is software problem, I mean maybe I need my region firmware in order to use 4G LTE+ internet, any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
So I switched from Verizon to Tmobile and noticed that voLTE is working even though I'm on Pixel Experience... The only thing I changed was ro.carrier in build prop from VZW to TMO. Is this normal? IMS still shows up as Not Registered and Voice over LTE still says Unavailable but it works. Is it supposed to work on Tmobile? Yes I tried sending a text with LTE only as the service and works flawlessly....

Edit: hold on, Calling drops to 3G but texts work fine over LTE... Why didn't this work on Verizon but it works on Tmobile? I could care less about calls but texts working over LTE is a god send for me.
Hi does anyone know why I can't get 5g on my Nothing phone, I have preferred network set to 5g, have tried both my voda and ee Sims, my son and partner both have full 5g service on there EE and voda Sims which is weird. If I search for available networks it shows only 2g 3g and 4g networks as shown in the image.
Thanks in advance!

Have you confirmed with your service providers that you have 5G enabled on your services?
I had the same problem. Carrier didn't certify the pohne to use in it's network which is a big BS because phone supports all the needed 5G bands. Switched to another carrier - Mobile vikings - and I have 5G.

Although the SIM card and network provider can be identified, but I cannot use the network services provided by them, such as calls and accessing the Internet.

You must enter your country settings for your mobile data and internet.
Connect this dongle 5G to PC and enter address in Chrome browser and there you must enter correct settings in order for device to work.
