Strange vertical line on the S7 Edge Exynos screen. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Some days ago i installed the new twrp with the LineageOS 15.1 rom, and i started noticing this strange vertical 1 pixel wide line on the screen:
imgur.com/a/KmJUy
On the white screen, it's some faint orange color, kinda wierd, on a red screen or blue screen becomes totally black and on a green screen it's totally absent.
Is it a known issues and can be it be resolved easly or do i need to send it to Samsung now that Knox is tripped?

Are someone has same issue? and how to fix it? thank you very much.
sorry for my bad english
The best I could to to check mine was to open up my email. The whole screen is white. I did not see anything except white along the edge.

thank you very much.
please try in LCD Test(*#0*# in Diagnostic Mode) select RED you will see a white border but on my device left-border is green (other sides are OK).
It's very hard to be absolutely sure on red, but on blue and green the edges are definitely all white.

I loaded your JPG onto my Focus and the left side is green. The left side is always green, but the right side and even the top and bottom can also appear green if you hold the phone at certain angles. The green can also appear purple at extreme angles.
Is this a manufacturing flaw, or just a characteristic of AMOLED screens? Could it be some sort of back-lighting source that's located along the left edge that's causing the green tint?
I loaded the picture after downloading it and then attaching it to an email.
It does have a strange tint on the left side.
I then created my own version of the image. I started with a 480 x 800 blank image in Photoshop. I filled the entire image with black at 100% opaque.
Then I stroked the outer edge with 1 pixel of white. I repeated this using 2 pixels and then 3 pixels. As you can see, it is still visible at 3 pixels, but it is starting to turn white. I think we are seeing a consistent result that means the AMOLED screens have a slight design problem that is not considered to be worth holding back this technology from the market. I know I like the display and this is minor.

[Q] i9500 red tint on half screen, upper side

hello everyone
I have an issue with my i9500 screen.
I installed Display Tester app from Play Store. I run the Defective Pixel Detection test.
In red, green, and blue color, it doesn't have any problem (or it's just my eyes). But, in white color and grey, there's kind of darkish red tint with gradation in upper side of screen. So basically the screen appear brighter in the bottom but darker in upper side. I've tried turning off auto and maximize the brightness, but the problem is still there.
It's very noticeable too in Viewing Angle test.
So anyone have this issue? and (perhaps) the fix?
mine is running on latest OTA update (XUAMDK baseband and XXUAME1 build number)

I've had 2 devices with this issue, I'm pretty sure is a hardware problem so I don't think an update will fix it. You should go for a replacement.
I have the same problem but in the left side of the screen it has yellow tint while in the right side it has pink. I took it to samsung customer service today, they told me we will call you once we take a good look at it.
Same issue with mine

mine is darker with a pinkish tint on the top half.
It is a hardware problem. Hopefully my replacement phone does not have the problem.

Screen burn in (notification bar)

Hello I've owned the s4 since June and today I noticed that when i watch videos in full screen i can see the status bar impressed on the screen! i can't see numbers but just the line of the status bar. I know that I can claim the warranty but if this is an issue with amoled screens who says it won't happen again? Anyway I'm using a very low brightness and a Google edition rom so that part of the screen is always black.
It will happen again on every amoled screen for sure. There is some excess of blue light from screen that diminish during usage. Top bar is black so this excess remains stronger in that area and it looks a little blueish. It's not burn in, more like under-burn
Snapdragon Galaxy S4
It is a common issue of AMOLED, my GS4 has the same issue just after 2 months.

Install apex launcher and use swipe down (or any other gesture) to hide notification bar
the possibility of screen burn is one of amoleds weaknesses. had the same problem with my old S2 :crying:
fortunately not yet with the S4.
first read about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=937667
That's why Samsung has set the notifications bar to grey/transparent to prevent burn in.
Your Google edition rom has a completely black notifications panel.
Had it on my Note. They replaced the screen three times and it kept coming back.
Same with me s4 now.
So basically there's nothing I can do but send it back and see the problem come back again:angel:
Is there a way for google edition roms to have a transparent status bar?

Screen Flickering + Green Tint

Hi! Something went wrong with my phone today. I was using it today and then it flickered (2 flickers).
After the flickering, there's a green tint (very minimal shade but still noticeable). It's not as deep black as it was before.
The flickering happens everytime I boot the phone and unlock the phone. Help. I hope this is not hardware issue.

black vertical line on the lift side of the screen while viewing red color only ?!

hey guys
today I noticed a thin vertical line that shows up on low brightness and on specific red color
it goes from the top of the screen to the bottom on the left side of the screen only if I display Gmail's red on it (( other types of red are fine )) .. I noticed this while I was checking my mail today there was a thin black line on the notification bar and the top side of the app (( the red part )) ,but when I increase the brightness to the half the problem goes away
I know my screen maybe defective but can I solve this by myself ? because the warranties here are very bad and they'll probably ignore the problem and return my phone after 14 days without fixing anything
