Battery drain is insane! - LG V20 Questions & Answers

Hello guys I just bought v20 second hand after my Huawei mate 9 broke I just can't deal with the battery drain the battery drains really quickly!! Without doing any thing that actually drains no gaming only browsing I lost 8% within 10 minutes wth! Any help or advice am already using force dose and greenify

I had exactly the same problem. It was a perfect phone with great battery life until I updated to Nougat. Since then I had to charge 2 times a day. I did some research on the net, LOTS of other users from all over the globe had the similar problem, and all of them experienced this after the Nougat update. I gave away my one (I mainly used as a DAP, not a phone), but the only solution might be to root it and revert back to older firmware.

The V20 came with Nougat!

True, i meant not updated to Nougat, but updated THE Nougat. After one of the updates this whole thing started.

[HELP] [n900] BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM after update

Hi I'm a Indian user
Last week I updated my note3 to xxuenf3 firmware then I had very terrible battery life
I'm getting just 4 hour on screen sometimes I get 3 hours :crying:
Guys please help me to increase my battery life
I don't want to root my device
May post your battery usage page to see what drains that much. The more experienced guys here may correct me but i guess without rooting there arent too many options to safe battery.

The more experienced people can say more to that as me. Specially with your desire to not root your phone. There are as far i remember serval bugs causing system to drain more battery but i think it was way more than. Maybe search arroubd here for that bugs for more info about it could not be too wrong tho

thank how to root n900 ???
then should i install custom rom for good battery life
Added link
There are serval threads about that. Just follow the steps within thread step by step and youll be good to go. But read up within the threads about consequenses and risks. You wont need custom rom an custom kernel will do good aswell. I have nice experiences with ultimate kernel. Important to know is you have to read up if the kernel/rom is confirmed as working with exactly your device. For example international note 3 = sm-n9005
Here is an excellent written guide on how to safe up some battery

Also have a D801 / T-mobile and it has been a great phone.

Very good battery life here, but I am careful with managing the screen back light and adjusting it to deal with the ambient light conditions (not brighter than I need it to be).

How's that
Key word: refurbished. Unless you are 100% sure it's from manufacturer.
So how do I tell?
The phone is great, battery life is not that good though(stock lollipop). Also the device kida heats.

[QUESTION] Batery drain while using any custom rom.

I agree that the battery is not great.... I'm currently running latest cm13 build with pico gapps and I've seen some improvement with not having google app installed but I still don't get into doze at any point...

Here the battery has improved a lot just by turning off wifi and bluetooth GPS assistance ...
I've observed an overall decrease in battery too. I've tried PAC and Slim. Now on RR (which seems to have battery life close to stock).
But again that's with Greenify (with Xposed and Amplify.
I guess until a few more updates, battery life wouldn't be as good as stock.

Temasks CM13 gave me absolutely horrible battery life. So far Pacrom has been the best.

Official 7.0 battery life worse or better

Would like to know if everyone's experiencing better or worse battery life on mm vs nougat official release
I was only on mm for a few days but I'd say better...

This is my battery usage from two different instances, battery life has been very good to me on Nougat, however a week ago or so I had to factory reset my phone because "media server" drained my battery very quickly. These screenshots are made after that factory reset.

No unfortunately not. But after a factory reset it never came back in such a huge way, before the factory reset it suddenly appeared on top in the usage list with 45% usage, dropping my phone's battery from 90% to 40% in less than 1 hour.
My settings aren't really special, I only use sync when my phone is charging (regular charging, I don't ever use fast charging), I don't use AOD, Location or NFC, and I have disabled pretty much everything that can be disabled through the phone itself, without using a package disabler. Also, my screen resolution is on 720P.
I love the batterylife on my s7 edge with 7.0 btu. It's way better then mm

MLP battery drain issue

Does anyone know what MLP is or why it's taking a big chunk of my battery life? Never really had an issue with it until the latest update on my s10+
Just a question is the 9% bad for battery?
Does it drain it?

Mine says less than 1min 23.7% drain... what the f**** is this?
From day 1 I ve purchased my s10+ was happy with the battery compared to s9+ which was at 5% battery at 6.00pm, whereas with the s10+ I ve been making all day with 20% back home late at night...so now what's this mlp disaster thing? Today I ve already charged in the afternoon
Edit: try this, just did it, din't know if it works, it will show up tomorrow

I saw that post yesterday after I posted here and these are my results today so that problem has fixed it but let me know how you get on too and if my battery starts draining again il report back
I have the same issue
after last update i saw mlp running and draining my battery.
21 june it was normal. 22 and 23 june i see a spark
I am also seeing this battery drain from mlp process since a few days.
I'm on S10e but I think it's the same problem. Currently I'm at 70% and mlp is responsible for 13%.
I've even tried disabling the mlp process (com.samsung.mlp) via adb -> package manager and it is still draining my battery even though it is user-disabled.
