This is the fonts directory under /System - Unzip this from your laptop, then use this from TWRP under /System and it should work fine.
XDA doesn't let me upload, so here's the link: https://ufile.io/qowb9
(this will be deleted in 30 days from this post)

[Q] problems with Google apps

Hi,
I've been experiencing some slow downs on my xperia play, so I uninstalled the Google apps(as I red on some threads). but when I attempt to open android market I noticed an empty window flashing and than closing herself. I noticed that happendsthe same every time I try to open the gmail app. I tried to install the market and gmail app downloading the .apk from the internet, and every type of reset, but without any positive results. I thought that this is happening because the missing of some app that I uninstalled previously, but can't figure out what this could be.
Please help me, and sorry for the eventually bad English:-D
Did you delete google talk by any chance?
Sent from my Xperia Play using Tapatalk
well, I don't think so, but in case this could be the cause? I'm now attemping to re-install it
EDIT: Honestly, right now i'm feeling a little noob. when i try to install the google talk .apk it says "application not insalled". How do i install it??
I've tried this: Step 1:
Download, Extract, and Transfer the contents of this zipped folder to your phone. You can simply do this by plugging your phone in via usb, and dropping the rootexplorer.apk into your download folder.
dl.dropbox.com/u/1239859/Root%20Explorer
Then, go into file manager, Tap the SD Card Tab, go to download folder, and install the root explorer.apk
Step 2:
Download, Extract, and Transfer the contents of this zipped folder to the same download folder.
dl.dropbox.com/u/1239859/Talk%20App%20and%20Services
Step 3:
Go into root explorer, navigate to your SD card, then to the download folder where you will find the following files
1 gtalkservice.apk
2 talk.apk
3 talkprovider.apk
These are the 3 you just transferred over.
Step 4:
Long press on one of those, and click copy or move. Once you click copy, you will see your next option on screen is to paste. Click back 2 times, and scroll to the bottom and you will see system, click system, then click apps. Paste that into apps. Then go back to the download folder again inside your sd card, and do the same for the remaining two files. Once all 3 are moved or copied into the /system/app folder, reboot your phone, and try to download something, if you get the force close error still, then do a hard reset.

do you have an unlocked bootloader? if you do you can flash this system image by bin4ry and it will restore all your /system files

There's something in TWRP to delete files. I was unable to delete a clockworkmod file through the PC or file explorer, but the TWRP thing worked. Also, I noticed when you add or delete files (mostly delete), it doesn't show up until after a reboot.

Deleted clockface folder on motoactv by mistake

I was trying to load custome clock faces on my motoactv and accidentally deleted the clockface folder I have rooted my device before so I used the tool to restore back to factory but it does not restore the file does anyone have a solution

Which folder, in /system or on the sd card? If it's the one in /system, you can push it from my Rom after extracting it from the zip file.
I'm not sure, I believe its the sd card when I plug in the usb cable and I go in to my computer to see it thats where the folder is missing from what do you think and thanks for replying

You should literally be able to just create a new folder there with the same name. I believe it's empty, until you put something there.

[Q] build.prop HEEEEELP

To mods. I have posted the same message in "Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games > [GUIDE] How to edit build.prop on any Android device!". Please handle it as you wish. Sorry for the double post.
Hi all!
I have a Nexus 4 running on PAC (Android 4.2.2).
I have edited the build.prop file (so that it shows as a Note2, and it worked just fine), but before that I had taken a copy of the original one in one file (lets call it copyNexus...but the name is still build.prop), and a copy of the edited file (lets call it copyNote...still same name).
I used the edited file for some time, but now I wanted it reverted back to the original settings.
Once I set copyNexus in /system/ and overwrote the edited file, I rebooted my phone and after the Google logo it just goes blank.
I booted through TWRP recovery to set it back to copyNote through the file manager, but still the problem is the same.
Any suggestions?
Would an installation of PAC fix it?
It is crucial that I do not format everything as I 1st need a backup (I know. Bad thing that I thought this AFTER the catastrophe...)
Thanks!
Extract the original copy from the .zip file and save it on the root of your sd card. Then download aroma file manager and delete the build.prop and copy over the one you've just extracted. If that doesn't work, take a nandroid and flash the original rom and gapps without wiping cache or dalvik or anything else. If that doesn't work, you'll have to start again from scratch

[Q] Bootanimation is black, lockscreen problem

Hi, all
I have a problem with the lockscreen.
It happened when I replacing the files of "bootsamsung.qmg" , "bootsamsungloop.qmg" , "bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg" of /system/media to change the bootanimation using the Root Explorer, and then this problem started, I can not lock the screen, but I can turn off the cell phone, it's a thing of function button. When I turn on the cell phone, the bootanimation is in black, that is to say, I don't get the bootanimation.
I tried to go settings>>personalization>>lockscreen to change the settings of active screen and it don't work.
I tried to restore factory settings and wipe data, and it don't work.
I used the downloaded bootanimation with archives that contain "bootsamsung.qmg" and "bootsamsungloop.qmg" and copied to change his names "bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg", the download of this bootanimation is in <<http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2587092>> , the link is "BiosBootAnimation(Made_BY_NimaGL2).zip".
Can someone help me, please?

Try to set the boot animation all over again and follow every step (don't hurry or panic). Also take a look on the links posted by The dev of the boot animation. If it still didn't work please try to flash the stock boot animation via recovery. At last if everything didn't work put the rom on your sd card backup data and efs (titanium backup 4 example) and do wipe data and cache in recovery. Good luck

Try it should work
I found where is the problem, is in the permissions of files that have copied, I changed to rw-r--r--, and before when I had the problem was rwxrwx---, was a detail, and wherefore the lockscreen didn't let me that lock the screen.
Thanks, all, now works perfectly.

Older thread but wanted to ask what specifically these two files do?
bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg
*I know bootsamsung.qmg (plays first at boot after Samsung logo)
*bootsamsungloop.qmg (plays second at boot)
*shutdown.qmg (plays when phone turns off)
But what do the other two do and are they needed??
bootsamsungmini.qmg" and "bootsamsungminiloop.qmg
Thanks,
