One of the new features of Oreo is obviously that many/most media apps will display cover art in the pulldown notification center, but I noticed Audible just shows a black bar, as if the cover art doesn't exist. Has anyone seen cover art populate for Audible? Is this something the Audible app devs would need to add support for?

I can't believe a developer hasn't created this yet.
I love the desktop lock feature of adw launcher. But my 4 year old will still accidentally pull down the notification panel and change settings.
So there has to be a way to add an in-memory app that prevents the panel from being pulled down.
I still want to be able to see the status bar, but just not be able to pull down the panel.
I know it's possible because I have widgetlocker and it prevents it from the lock screen.
Please put your development skills to the test!
I am stock; not rooted; and have both ICS Droid 4g, and GB Incredible 2.
Try GMD Gesture Control. With a gesture or on an app-active basis you can hide the notification bar, which in this case prevents the drawer from being opened. You still get an auditory notification, and if you're near another gadget, there are ways to get notified via browser, a backup phone, tablet, and in not too long, TVs & watches, too.
So glad to *not* hear "you" sent your boss a "drunken" nonsense text! It was the coloring apps combined with the incomparable, phone-endangering frustration (not mine) that got me to spend the $5.
adw launcher can already hide the status bar, thus locking the notification panel. But I want an app that let's me see the status bar but locks the panel (just like widgetlocker lockscreen does).
Any dev out there that can make this for me?
Hello there,
I got the Note 3 N9000Q version and I'm still trying to figure out a few things.
On my previous device (HTC EVO 3D), I downloaded an app called Smart Statusbar so I could swipe down to reveal the notification bar when in full screen mode and chat heads would appear with the notification bar.
Touchwiz has the swipe down to reveal notification bar by default which is nice but it doesn't reveal the chat heads with it. I tried Smart Statusbar app but that also doesn't help. I tried Swipe statusbar with it. This time chat heads does appear but it has a mind of its own, sometimes it appears sometimes it doesn't.
My question is what does this all mean. Is there a Samsung limitation that interferes with Chat heads?
What can I do to make it work?
Sorry for the long post :/
Is there a way to see the full watchface without notifications in either ambient mode or on the regular clock home screen without deleting all of the running notifications? This notification bar renders every analog clock completely unusable.
Thanks!
Jordan
From what I read, not until Google releases the new api. There is nothing the developers can do.
Hey I'm coming from the Turbo and have become accustomed to music/podcast players
1. Having an icon in the notification bar even when playing in the background
2. Having a widget in the notification bar that allows pausing/playing.
Was this a motorola feature or lollipop feature that's now gone from Marshmallow?
Hi.
The stock music player has lockscreen controls accessible without tapping the notification bell, and the album cover appears as the lockscreen background.
However, these features are not available when using other music apps like Spotify and Pandora, which makes skipping a track very annoying since it requires tapping the notification bell. I could care less about the album art in the lockscreen, judt thought I should point it out.
Does anyone know a way to make the spotify or pandora act as the stock music app to get controls in the lock screen? Thanks.

You can wait for future update which should remove the bell as everyone hates it or use another app for locked screen.
The problem with using another locked screen is you end up with two locked screens unless you choose to disable the built-in locked screen.
