I was looking around on AndroidFilehost and I found this
https://dev.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=160609
It seems to be safestrap for the Verizon s7.
Edit: I discovered this was just a test build and it does not work.

I havent really seen any straightforward directions on this yet for kit kat. If there are some, just point me toward the link if you dont mind. I am on stock recovery, rooted, galaxy s4 running 4.4.2. All i need is to know which file to download and how to install it in order to get the free native hotspot to work. Thanks!
If you could post you exact model number i can post a direct link to get it working. If your unsure how to find this. Simplu look under the battery. It should be something like l720 or l720t. If its the t variant.. the only working hotspot confirmed is found in the first post here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2621862
If its just the regular l720 I'm not quite sure as i own the other varient.. but this will probably be your solution. Remember.. don't cross your firmware bud. And you'll do just fine. link for l720... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2653666
i recently got a samsung galaxy S5 model: SM-G900i, currently looking to root it and can't seem to locate a rom for it, and was wondering if anyone could direct me to a place i can get one, i checked chainfire and there is nothing there, but here is the build number: LRX21T.G900IDVU1BOJ2
thanks to anyone who can assist.
Omega rom works well on the 900i
should have said i need to root the phone as well and i have yet been able to locate a guide for my build of the phone... any place you could point me to? as i said in the first post, i checked chainfire and there is nothing there for my model S5.
Could really use some help with this it seems the version of s5 i have even with dev mod and the unknown app option set refuses to install apks, few times i have tried it will eject my sd card and cause any installing apk to hang, so it looks like i need to root it, any ideas?
I followed this guide
http://galaxys5root.com
A lot of the guides i have looked at don't cover my build of the phone guess I'll have to keep look. Thanks for trying to help none of those guides seem to cover the phone build i listed...
If anyone wants to root their US cellular S6 Smg920r4 on 6.0.1, I know there's no section here for US Cellular, but this works perfect. It's the Sprint TWRP 6.0.1 Marshmallow root method. Just follow the instructions in the Sprint thread. Root in minutes thru Odin. Hope it helps someone else like me who was looking and looking for Sm-g920r4 specific root.

I've got xposed running with a few modules that are stable and somewhat supported on marshmallow. Again it's super easy to root your stock firmware on your US Cellular SM-G920R4 Galaxy S6. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. Thanks
Twrp
My s6 won't boot into system it boots into twrp recovery. And I did make a backup of my phone with Smart Switch and now Smart Switch tells my device is not supported. Any solutions?
What firmware were you on? Were you already on 6.0.1 and did you get it fixed yet
How did you get Xposed to work? Did you have to use a custom rom? If so what one did you use?
thank
Thank to me
I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger on this. I see questions being asked about things that I don't fully feel comfortable stressing about. Was this a successful way to root or a fluke that may work for some?
how to install edge screen on s6, just like s6 edge

I was able to root my device though a youtube video by "android doctor" but was not able to get his 7.0 ROM to load on my G920R4. Does anyone have a ROM they WERE able to work on this S6 variant? Thanks

For sure. US Cellular is small beans compared to the other major companies so its always been hard to find it. This is the first device I have ever struggled to find a way to do it though. All other took work, but this one is the only one so far that has been impossible.
I was able to get his ROM loaded onto my phone but there was a spot where I had to "select CSC" and US Cellular wasn't listed as one of them. I think T-Mobile and Rogers were the only USA companies that it had. Maybe I should have tried it by selecting T-Mobile or Rogers but I just didn't really know what to do. The one that I tried (which was a UK CSC - because it mentioned something about selecting it if yours wasn't listed..but I believe it was only talking about UK companies not listed) wound up getting the ROM to load but I had NO touch screen capabilities.
After 6 hours of getting that that point and having to reload the official Samsung ROM, I gave up and went to bed.
I wish I could find someone that has been through this already to lean on for some assistance but with this phone, it seems like no one has been first. Maybe that is my purpose in life.. But then again, I also don't want to completely brick my phone in the process. Maybe I'll try again tonight.
I had been searching ebay for awhile trying to find a 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 S5 Active and i thought i finally found one but when i received it, its actually at 5.0!! after doing hours more of research ive pretty much confirmed that nothing has changed since 6 months ago when i tried to root one. so baring that noone here has a way to root / install custom roms, does anyone know of a way to get wifi hotspot which is all i'm really after anyway.
thanks,
Hey guys.
I just bought the S10 Plus from Verizon. I normally purchase the devices unlocked; I don't know why I went through my carrier. I've been using the Note9 until now, but I just had a question. I know that US model devices are manufactured the same and can have different firmware flashed. I've been looking for the S10 Plus firmware, but have been unsuccessful in locating anything for the G975U, I've only been able to find firmware for the 975F. Does anyone know where I can find the correct firmware? I can't stand Verizon's bloatware and removal of some features. Checked Sammobile and a couple other places online, also looked through the forums here, but I don't know if I'm just stupid, but I can't find it. Thanks for your help!
