Villain Rom 3.0

Ive install Villain Rom 3.0 with the new android 2.3.5 its working great. For some reason it did not have root so i flashed via odin speedmod kernel KI-T40. and with that i got root and its working great so far.
im just waiting know for the tweaks and a good blue theme for it.

It does have root it just didn't have superuser, downloading superuser from market would of solved root issues.

Read all the battery posts as there are a usefull number of battery saving tips within them .

I found that people says that version 2.3.5 has better sound quality and battery drain is gone.

Been using V3 for a week now, so far it been great. Playing with lots of apps from the market, no fc till now and battery is decent. Try it.

Is it that different to stock 2.3.5 though? I'm running 2.3.5, tried VR3.0 and can't see any differences at all. The guys at VR don't seem able to say what benefits it has over stock, other than some VR tweaks that aren't of use to me.

Urm one major difference stock is odexed, VR is deodexed. Allows themes and mods which for most is a big plus.

I have been using Villian 3 for several months and I love it!
Only issues that I know:
Device Encryption does not work and blocks the phone (you have to come back to original stock rom to be usable, the phone cannot boot)
Touchdown app does not sync calendar (but email works so I'm fine with it)
But battery life is awesome compared to stock one, is very fast and I you like TW like I do is great cause you will get TW experience with better battery and faster

Yes, device encryption is unfortunate...
I'd not turn it down if it worked... I decided to wait until ICS, and then see if the inbuilt stuff there works. If not, I'll have to figure it out.
But at the end of the day, I wouldn't release the rom like that, for one reason. Encryption is only good if you are using a secure rom. While VR is in many respects more secure than most ROMs due to using non public platform keys, it still permits root access.
Since exchange encryption is usually enforced by your IT admin, I don't think people should be using this ROM for work purposes to connect in, given it is rooted...
With root, you can just dump the data off the running system

Serious issues with my i9506

I have few serious issues with my i9506 mobile that i really would be glad if you put some time into helping me solve them.
I'm using CM11-201501250=NIGHTLY-ks01lte, Android version 4.4.4
Mobile freezes a lot, almost 4+ times a day. nothing responses and i have to reboot it to use it again.
Video recording always have a bad sound quality.
A lot of apps crashes and launchers too.
Over heating (but not much i can do about that i think)
I been using CM11 for long time and i am gonna try to upgrade to CM12 now. all i want is a running CM version with exposed framework.
So please help me fix these issues

i been always using CM... i don't think everyone have the same issues. so i would like to fix them as i know stock ROM will be so retarded to use? i am used to CM :crying:

CM is buggy crap. Stock 5.0.1 looks gorgeous, is awesome / polished / and rock stable. what more can one ask?

Take a look: HERE. Select the one you prefer: Kit Kat (more stable) or Lollipop.

already installed the L version. but phone stuck so far doesn't pass the Samsung screen (was stuck on recovery before)
so i re-installed Philz Touch recovery and wiped the cache... (btw it asked me to root the phone again before existing recovery)
so phone still stuck... what now

and now it's working and downloading apps backup via titanium backup... will check the issues again and update u guys.

Here its said that the voice works allright but im facing problem though i have the latest version and NK1 baseband nd followed everything whats written on it. The performance of the rom is excelent but the voice problem bars me from using it as daily driver . plz help me

Thats the major problem of CM ROMs bcoz of background running apps.... check the Grand 2 General section to fix lag in CM12.1 bro

No notifications until I've opened app myself

Please help!
The title explains my problem...
I'm on Phronesis v5 ROM and it runs smoothly with a few flaws..
The most annoying one is this one.
Somebody any idea on how to fix this?

Here everithings works fine. Have you given permission to the Apps in smart manager- ram- auto run apps ? See also Settings- Applications- Application permission

No, not that I know of. Never been a fan of greenify. Don't know i Phronesis has an integrated app like that.

Are you using the kernel rom stock? Anyway.... if all settings are ok i would try to dirty flash the rom again

I've had to dirty flash already for something else, so that won'r work.

few ROMs have Smart manager and there's App Optimisation module in it. If an app is automatically optimized (if you have set Optimisation ON), it wont show notifications.

I can't find any optimisattion module and the Phronesis ROM Control doesn't let you control anything about notifications or apps.
Might just switch ROMs, could anyone recommend their favorite?

You're right, but not when you say you have to accept something that has to work and it doesn't....In my phone everything work like a charme !I told ya,try a new clean flash! Good luck mate

Data not working on Nougat Rom

I tried using a few Nougat Rom but my data did not work on any of the Roms. VOLTE is working perfectly but no data connection is working. Please help me I want to stay on Nougat Rom.?

Just check your APN settings again and save them again
Disable data on other sim card
Lenovo A6000 too has this issue we solved it this way
Reselect the Apn

Use LTE discovery APP

I tried that app too but only for some moment I started to get slow internet speed.. I had to start the cycle again and again.. With Mokee 7.1 you can get fast internet.. I am using this ROM and everything is working fine except the battery backup...you can use powersav e governor for good battery backup..Just give it a try and see for yourself if your data is working or not..Because I faced this too with some ROMs
