How to access the security settings on the Domino dm368 smart watch? - Other SmartWatches

This is my first ever post to xda so if I didn't post this correctly please let me know. So where I work they have an app that you can use to check your schedule/hours worked etc. For some reason the app asks for the password for the credential storage before I can use it. I had to look that up online because I didnt know there was a password for it and I'm not 100 percent sure what credential storage is used for. I'm assuming stored usernames/passwords for certain websites? Anyways I found out the password is the same as the 4 digit screen lock password. not a big deal on my phone but on the watch it took me to the security settings menu where I set a screen lock pattern. But now I've changed my mind and don't want the screen lock. I have to unlock the screen to see the watch face I have set. My question is how can I access the security settings menu? I can't do it with my work app. It only took me there because I didn't have a screen lock.

Device password

My Tytn locks after a few minutes. I can remember setting this in the beginning, after booting for the 1st time. I want to change the nr of minutes, but I just cant find the program to do so.
Help says I have to use the "windows-settings-personal[tab]-password". But (I have an UK Tytn) its just not there. ANyware...
Where is the password option hidden?
How can I get back that option in the above mentioned window?
I could hardly sleep - so I just went thru all options and its "hidden" behind the WIndows-Settings-[personal-tab]-LOCK icon.
WHen choosing the LOCK, you have to enter the password. I thought it meant that after typing in the password, the device was locked.
But after giving the password, you're able to change the password/timeout settings.
How simple life is sometimes
Windows-HELP is wrong though....

Exchange security policy

I'm syncing my Evo with my company's Exchange server and they have a policy that requires an alphanumeric password to secure the device.
My question is if there is a mod/hack/app that will allow me to use the Android pattern matching security policy instead of the alphanumeric policy.
I've tried No Lock, but I still want some security on the device, I just don't want to enter a password each time and would much much rather be able to pattern match. In addition, No Lock continues to give my phone fits after some time in the 'unlocked' state.
I've tried searching for this question, but I wasn't able to find much.
Thank you
Try speaking with your IT dept. and see if they will add your account as an exception to the authentication policy. If they do, then you can just use the native pattern unlock in security settings.
I used "Lockpicker" from Market. There are instructions on the info page. It says first enable the pattern lock, then add your exchange account, then add the password. then when you reboot or unlock you should still have the pattern available. I haven't tried it but I do use it and find it a great app and the developer returns emails asap.
I didnt see your thread before. but the directions given by ifly are spot on.

thanks, btw auto restore stuff is checked..but it didnt work
You can always try to unlock it via :
http://www.samsungdive.com/DiveMain.do
It should let you unlock your phone remotly without reset, as you have setup a samsung account.
Do try and post feedback if working or not with unlock pattern.
Good luck
thanks..nope..it doesnt buddy..i tried samsungdive..it asks for recovery password and thats it!!!
mmmmm....
So to setup your exchange account (to be compliant with your company) you had to setup your phone with unlock patern or PIN pattern. It should also had a "device administrator" (try to see in the settings menu, If it is right) to let your company network admin to remotely wipe everythings. So this password recovery might been set by him from the server side. Ask him if he had setup any password for remote wipe or anything else.
Good luck

yeah..you are right..and i tried callin my IT hep desk..and she just says use your email password, which obviously dint work..by the way app suggested by dr.ketan is good..but im a bit late..
Ok,
I know for sur that your IT has the option for PIN unlock pattern enforcement.
You could always ask to setup again a PIN from their side and use it as your unlock "way". And the device administrator password is alsmost for "sur" not your personnal password from your company ( except If your network admin know all your password and set the same for the device administrator wich sound/is quiet strange).
But almost for sur this recovery password is set from your company side from exchange (ask them to go to the server AD and right click your user, and in the exchange/email tab their should be a "remote device" option or such tab in wich all the options, enforcement and password specific for your account and his phone/remote device access)
Goold luck

Ok have a look at and forward this to your IT :
http://www.sysadminlab.net/activesy...tivesync-policies-a-complete-guide-what-works
and also try:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996351.aspx
and from it for password recovery:
Use Outlook Web App to recover a device password
In Outlook Web App, click Options.
Select Phones from the Navigation Pane.
Select the mobile phone from the list.
All mobile phones the user has configured for Exchange ActiveSync are displayed in this list. To determine the correct mobile phone, use the device name and the last synchronization time displayed in the list of devices.
Good luck

I tried outlook weboption..here is wat i have.
no option to view password .
Manage your mobile devices here.
You can remove devices that you are no longer using. If you forget your device password, you can access it here. If you lose your phone or mobile device, you can initiate a remote device wipe to protect your information.
To add a new device, begin a partnership with Microsoft Exchange from the device and it will appear in the list below.
Remove Device from List... | Wipe All Data from Device...
hmm..thts because..
Display Recovery Password (Windows Mobile 6 only): This option allows you to access your device if you've lost or forgotten the password. To unlock your device:
Press Menu, and then select Reset password.
The device will alert you that you must select a new password and supply a recovery password, which you can find in OWA. Once you have accepted, create a new password, and then press OK.
The screen will tell you where to find the recovery password and provide a space to enter it. Enter the recovery password, and then press OK.

Let me tell you this. I also have my corporate email account set in my Note, but instead of using stock email app I am using Touchdown.
That way the corporate does not have any access to you're full mobile, it is restricted to Touchdown.
The regular screen lock is the typical Android function.

Foxfi Pin/Password Disable

I searched everywhere and could not find an answer on how to remove the pin/password credential for foxfi. I have finally figured out how.
1. Install and activate Foxfi (add pin and check trusted credentials box)
2. Go to Android Device Manager(make sure you are logging in with the gmail associated with the phone you are wanting to reset the password on)
3. Click on Lock and enter your new password.
4. Go back to your phone and now it will ask for the new password.
5. Now you can go into settings>lockscreen>screen lock and change to whatever you want.
Or just click wrong password 20x and you can then go put lock screen back to whatever

I tried that and got to over 75x and it still never gave me an option to reset my password.
I believe it's settings/security/clear credentials.

That would in fact disable foxfi also. You would have to have the credentials installed for foxfi to actually work. This makes it were you dont need a pin/password to unlock the phone while keeping the foxfi credentials installed.

Is there an app that allows pattern unlock as secondary password?

I want to use the fingerprint as the main security for locking my phone but I wanna use a pattern unlock as my 2nd choice of password is there anyway to do so? It immediately makes me use a password password for my secondary/backup
