Hey guys. I am on an older version of this rom and want to relock the bootloader and go back to stock so i can sell this phone. Would that be possible? Will i lose volte? Thanks
You will lose VoLTE but should be able to regain cellular capabilities and IMEI with this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/restore-imei-0-moto-g5-xt1687-t3739808/page13

Hello. I have a Razr M , rooted, bootloader unlocked, radio switched via Radiocom, and happily using on ATT. I know that if I accept the OTA updates that I will lose root and the radio defaults back to Verizon. I was wondering if the same thing happens with the custom ROM's, and if so, is there a way to know in advance which ROM's will save me the trouble of going back through the steps to get back ROOT etc.
Thanks in advance.
Hello guys, hope you can help me out.
Im have an sm g900v S5 here in Argentina. It is not rooted but it is unlocked somehow (dont know exactly how because I bought it that way). Now, Id like to update to 6.0.1 if possible without losing this condition, I mean, Ill still need to use it in Argentina so I have to make sure it wont be re-locked to Verizon.
Should I first downgrade to ni2 and root, and once rooted update to 6.0.1? In that case which guide should I follow to update from NI2 rooted to 6.0.1?
Any help will be much appreciated!!!
Best regards
Ignacio
I would rooting first then check to see if your phone is bootloader unlocked by going to download mode on your phone by turning off your device then holding the home button and power and volume down button at the same time
once your phone has a screen that says odin mode look for a line that says mode developer if you don't see developer your bootloader is locked to get out of odin mode pull out your battery then put it back in
if it is unlocked go to this guide other wise if it isn't unlocked search XDA for s5 verizon bootloader unlock and follow that guide then proceed to the guide below
If you want offial software without losing root or bootloader unlock I would recommend a mm custom rom such as
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...pdate-to-g900voe1-5-0-keeproot-t3149784/page1
IF you want a custom rom cm13 is a popular mm ROM
Hi there folks,
Did anyone on stock b27 non-root, locked bootloader try if the unlock procedure provided by @DrakenFX still works? Also if relock is still working? I mean did the bootloader unlock procedure already got changed as announced from ZTE?
For now I want to stay stock, but don't want to loose possibility to unlock after the update to B27...
Thx!
Or is it at least possible to downgrade to B20 from B27 using tenfar's tool and then unlock bootloader?
Just for the record: it is still possible to unlock on fully stock B27 using this threads method:

Hi,
With all these issues like "IMEI 0" and volte not working, i just want to know a easy way to restore back to latest version of stock rom for indian variant with all the things working and a locked bootloader
Many Thanks!!!
I have the same question, i unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone but it broke the camera app,so i have installed the different kernel as a work round to get the camera working. But i want to go back to the stock rom with stock kernel. Can someone please guide us through
I have a Verizon Galaxy S5 running Lineage OS, and I wanted to restore back to the original ROM or in the best case a debranded ROM. If I flashed the original Verizon ROM will the bootloader relock as I want to go back to stock but want to keep the bootloader locked + be able to access TWRP, but I will probably have to reflash TWRP.

When it comes to the Galaxy S5 Devices (specifically), the ability to unlock their bootloader is determined by their CID (there's either the CID11 & CID15) and those can never be changed.
With that stated...
If that specific device (you're asking about) already has an unlocked bootloader, you will be able to unlock it again after flashing the Stock Firmware.
I hope I had explained this okay via text...
Good Luck!
