No MTCB/MTCD Rockchip PX5 Any Custom/Malaysk possible? - Android Head-Units

Hello there i have read several threads here but either didn't find or was just too stupid to find what I am looking for.
I have
MCU-Version:
2017-11-06 17:53:54 JY_(R68)__26_C26_6026_CAN(All)
CPU-Info:
CPU: ARM Coretx-A53 eight-core 2+32G PX5; GPU: PowerVR G6110
DVD-Version: (weird i have no dvd drive)
2017-09-22 08:35:52 R-86C-096I-NC-NP-1.0-PI2S
Unit Name:
JY-UM128P2
Is there absolutely no way to put a custom rom on there - something slim and non bloated?
I bought this unit with the intension of doing so, that's why i bought a PX5 with enough Ram

HW Upgrade options for Joying MTCD rk3188 5.1.1 1024x600

Hi,
I have a Joying HU
Code:
Model number: 2818H-5.1 J0623 (1024x600 W) (this number actually changes depending on MCU fw version)
CPU: ARM Cortex-A9 @ 1.6GHz (x4)
Memory: 1024 MB
MCU: MTCD_JY_V2.06_2
Build number: rk3188-userdebug 21122016
with Malaysk [rk3188] ROM installed.
Now, I am a bit confused about hw differences between "rk3188" and "PX3" ROMs: is the same thing or not?
Second question: is it possible to replace the existing rk3188 SOM with PX5? (E.g. the one sold by Witson for cca 100 USD.) It is not clear to me if the SOM is vendor dependent or not.

Was just given a Joying JY-UO134N4PX5S head unit.

So, I was given a JY-UO134N4PX5S head unit and don't know much about Joying. I had xtrons prIor to this one. I dont know where to begin with rooting and custom ROMs. All I really want is root and viper4android. I have seen a few threads mention anything that is PX5S can't be rooted. Here is all the info I could find on it.
OS: Android 8.0
CPU: Octa-core 64bit Cortex-A53 1.5GHZ
Radio IC: TEF6686
GPU: PowerVR G6110 GPU
RAM: 4GB DDR3 SDRAM
ROM / Flash: 64GB

I did a write up on rooting the PX5S devices. The below link should get you started down the path. the Px5s can be rooted via the outlined procedure.

Joying Px5 8 Core 4gb ram Upgrading to android 8.1 or 9.0 possible ?

Hi,
At this moment i have a Joying headunit with android 8.0 on it, i want to upgrade to android 8.1 or even if its possible to android 9.
I asked new files from aliexpress seller, got files they told me it was android 8.1 but after update still android 8.0, lower date version and even my steering wheel button's doesnt work anymore….
Can anyone help me out here with good software?
I have the following device:
Joying
System: APP 1024x600
Cpu: ARM Cortex-A53 eight-core 4+32GB PX5
GPU: PowerVR G6110
Mcu: JY_(R68)_26_C26_6026_CAN(ALL)
Also is it possible in the future to replace motherboard so i dont have to buy a complete new system if i want to upgrade more ?

Lenovo D1 Allwinner T7 P1 /Ownice C900 T7P1

A freind of mine gave me an Android Radio it's a Lenovo D1 I cannot get into basic settings can't even add google account and no playstore what so ever can't locate the manufacture it has the new allwinner T7 P1 which is a 6 core platform but radio says it's a quad core also radio says it's a android 8.1 but cpu-z says it's a 7.1 it came with a 360 camera view i want to be able to upgrade this unit to new MCU and higher version of android or at least 8.1 any ideas? This radio looks exactly like the Ownice C900 so maybe i can use their firmware both radios have the same specs except mine has speaker level outputs and theirs has line level outputs

What is your current MCU?
Can you share the system info of your unit?
Currently, only android 7.1 is available for ownice k5/c900

Except for the processor, looks like your unit have a different set of hardware . I think you can't flash the firmware from ownice c900 specially the mcu. It will break your device.

XTrons HeadUnit

Hey guys, I am bit confused as I can't find guide to root my XTrons device:
About device:
Android 9 (seller states that it's 12), API Level 28;
MediaTek OctaCore processor, with 2GB DDR4 RAM + 32GB ROM.
Can someone give me some direction to look for? Thanks.
Extrons uses same as any 8227L device chipset, so track this root pages for AC8227L devices, but watch for processor type !
