I am not able to download the update via mobile network both Jio and Vodafone. The download are decent upto 1MB/S which checking but the update alone doesn't get downlaod. Faced the same issues in Feb update too. Many time reflashed using Mi flash and tried to update via mobile data while switching from custom roms but didn't work out. Is it only me or everyone. What's the issue here and if possible the solution. The update gets downloaded on WiFi that's the only now it's downloading

Hello,
Yesterday I received the 4.4 update on my N4 but it wont download. It says it is waiting to get it over a WiFi connection which I wont have in time.
It also says that it will be available until tomorrow, the 27th. What does that mean? Does that mean that I wont be able to download the update at all? Is there some way I can make it download using my mobile data plan? I do not want to flash, root or rom it. Basically, anything that might void my warranty or cause a wipe of data.
tl;dr How can I make it download the update using my mobile data?
Hi all...did OTA 4.3 update on i9505 last week and the update failed.....the phone overheated during the installation and started bootlooping after that.
Connected the phone to Kies to see if it would detect the phone and sort the issue but it didn't even see it.
I was determined to keep the phone stock for warranty purposes so I downloaded the android SDK to get the ADB tools to see if I could connect that way. After a ton of tinkering I finally managed to get a connection. I then proceeded to try to locate the right ROM for the EE network in the UK so that I could either install by ODIN or via recovery seeing as I could now transfer files via ADB....
Now that Hotfile is down.....I can't locate the file successfully.
I crumpled and decided to try a custom ROM. I grabbed a 4.4 google edition and installed that....It booted up fine and I was able to insert all my details....then it crashed....I tried to restart but it got to the splash screen and restarted over and over......it was pretty hot so decided to turn it off for a while and remove the battery..
I let it cool down overnight and turned it back on.....it loaded up fine....I kept it in power saving mode and only turned the screen on to check that it was still alive.....it lasted about 5 hours into the day then had a major crash and started bootlooping again....
I have now tried going back to a BTU (non network specific) 4.2.2 ROM via ODIN but that is just boot loopiong. I have also used a i9505 PIT file to reset the partition table and then reinstall a standard ROM but no go.
I have tried Cyanogenmod too.....it got me to the sign in details then crashed and bootlooped......it basically bootloops until the battery runs out or it overheats...whichever comes first!
I am at the end of my current level of talent and looking for ideas on where to go next... The battery serial starts with "BD" so is apparently not one of the ones that are affected by previous issues.....the phone is only 1 month old
Anyone have any ideas....I thought soft bricks were generally fixable?
Update - I have now installed a stock ROM but it is for MK1 (India??) rather than EVR (EE - UK)
I was able to get it started up fine and it sat quite happily overnight on charge with no issues (WIFI and mobile data were on...sim card and SD card were installed)...made a phone call this morning and it was fine...that was a couple of hours ago.
I just downloaded a small app update via mobile data and the phone crashed and started bootlooping...
Took out battery and left for 5 mins and it has now booted up again without issue..
I am mucho confused!!
Are there any apps to track faults similar to Event Viewer in windows....I am pretty sure that I have a hardware issue but it may be caused by software...
Any help would be much appreciated.
cheers

here you go sir try to find your stock room /provider from here and flash it via odin.http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/2/
Edit: Remember flashing a new 4.3 stock may lead you to a newbootloader , Please read it here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447832 or either you can either flash the 4.2.2 stock pre-rooted rom from here (xxBMGA)http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250824 then reroot/recovery then use any Custom rom to flash via recovery in order to keep your old bootloader. i hope this make sense. thank you
Thanks Repulsa,
Already been through sammobile and many other sites looking for the correct ROM but as Hotfile is down there are no real sources...
I have come across many sources in China etc but they are downloading at 5kbps and would need a week to download 1.4 - 1.7GB
I have just checked my voicemail and made another call and the phone is fine....
I am thinking that I have an issue with the chip that handles mobile data....I am only on HSPA not LTE at the moment as I am outside of an LTE area....(LTE at home but HSPA/3G at work)
Will do more testing with downloading data over the mobile and also on WIFI and see if I can track down why it is crashing!
Thanks Repulsa,

Hello people of XDA,
I'm a Huawei P8 user and till recently, I was excited with my phone!
That was till the day I updated the firmware to B393 and I obtained two problems.
1st problem:
My wifi signal receiver got really weak and nowdays I can't reach and connect to WiFi connections,
that I could before the update.
2nd problem:
My GPS signal is suddenly getting lost and takes a while to reset.
Do you have any ideas how to fix these 2 issues??
Thank you very much in advance for your advice and help

If you have an EU-build, have you tried the latest, which is B397: [Firmware] Huawei P8 GRA-L09C432 B397 (12-05-2017)
Yes!
Now it is wearing B397 and still has both of the problems!

Try reverting back to the firmware that worked (if you remember) by reinstalling it via the dload-dialler method.
I tried rolling back to B390 but still the problem remains.
And unfortunately, there are no wifi settings concerning the wifi frequency available.

One more thing you can try is rolling back to Lollipop, then updating the phone via OTA only (not manually) - as this will ensure only 'official' updates are downloaded & installed.
First, & very important is to do a thorough & prior backup of your personal files stored in the internal storage (like: texts, contacts, photos, videos, music, etc as applicable & also make a note of all the apps you manually downloaded & installed) - as reverting to Lollipop (B200 step below) will most likely delete these.
Then download & install this MM to LL transition package (204Mb): http://consumer.huawei.com/nl-en/support/products/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=79605
Next, download & install C432B200 (LL) - direct full download (1.6Gb): http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=68483&version=238533
[Or, you can follow this guide: Huawei P8: Rollback from Marshmallow to Lollipop (German-English Google translated link HERE if required)]
Once above completes successfully, does everything work as it should?
Restore all your backups & apps now (or wait until after you update to Marshmallow in the step below).
Finally, check for & install OTA updates (Settings > Update > Check for updates) - it should find the latest official Marshmallow update. If not immediately, give it a few days to a couple of weeks.

You can try to factory reset and then flash stock marshmallow
Hi all,
Phone is from EE UK and I am trying to use FF to upgrade to Oreo and having no luck at all. I have tried the in-app proxy on multiple versions and all download find but the update page says "checksum error" every time.
I have also tried using the auto DNS option and this finds an update but fails to download it every time. I have tried downloading with the VPN still connected and also disconnecting the VPN and then hitting the download button. Neither works.
Is it possible to update my phone to Oreo or not? If it is could someone please let me know what I am doing wrong?
Cheers,
Blinky
Some firmware's work and some don't, try all the ones that are available for you. You can always wait and you should receive the Oreo update soon or you can try the HwOTA method
Also try removing any updates to the 'System Update' app as that can be the cause of the checksum errors. I managed to get a UK unlocked phone to B203 via the VPN route by doing that and then got automatic upgrade to Oreo.
My new OP8Pro is not connecting to ANY wifi networks.
And if it manages to connect it drops connection after 15 seconds.
I'm on OOS 10.5.13 and only using magisk.
What variant do you have?? US? EU? Global? Chinese?
Not sure if safe mode allows WiFi but boot to safe mode and see if the same issue occurs.
If a family member has a mobile, create a hotspot then connect to that and see if it has the same issues.
If say update to 11 as it may be a software issue.
If updating is an issue as you have no WiFi, you may be able to download it from the internet on a pc then copy the firmware over.
Have you tried a factory wipe?
Does removing the magisk modules help?
When you rooted did you extract the boot.img from your own firmware or did you obtain it from someone else, I'd always recommend obtaining your own.
Think there was someone who had issues in the xXx thread, might be worth searching threads to see what was the outcome.
I think they were on a US device, T-Mobile IIRC.
