Galaxy S APK Unlock Problem, urgent.

Hi guys, this is my first post and I just made the biggest error ever.
My S2 was (well, still) locked and I tried to unlock it using the Helroz Galaxy S unlock apk, I made the EFS backup, and then tried to unlock it, my phone rebooted and now I have no signal, no gsm, no NOTHING, my sim is completly blocked, I did *#06# and NO imei found. I still have the EFS backup nv_data.bin etc but when I try to apply the BACKUP from the apk it says the backup or EFS folder is not found.
I have no idea on what to do.. my phone works and wifi works, but 0% signal from sim card.
Urgent help is needed, please guys, I beg you.

Download the country specific csc file from here

Flash it using odin.. Hope it solves.

Im from Paraguay (South America) my "carrier?" is Claro Paraguay..

I dont know if it has something to do with but my phone is rooted, im using Simple & Clean 2.3 ROM with SiyahKernel..

Went into About Phone and Baseband version says "Unknown" imei is blank too

Ok, I will try that.

PS: I restored my phone's firmware to it's original PDA, Phone and CSC, rooted it with CF-Root, and then done this procedures below

If you havent tried, copy the EFS folder manually to the root directory and reboot.

How can I know wich CF to download? I have no baseband info on my phone, it says Uknown

Yes, I have tried that, I rebooted but still nothing.

Op repoting again.
I sent the phone to my carrier and they are going to replace my phone with a new S2.. =/ getting the new one tommorow.

HELP No DATA

I tried to do the LTE on my Nexus 4 running PA 3.5 05/05 i firstly did my radio to .38 then i did the LG leaked radio .27 and changed my network settings as suggested and also *#*#info#*#* changed it to gsm/lte prefered but no joy .. i then got fed up with everything so i decided to change it all back but now its not working .. any suggestions apart from wiping and starting again ??

If you are rooted flash back the .48 radio and change the settings in info to the original ones. Remove and reinsert the sim card and reboot in recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot. If that doesn`t help reflash the factory image.

It is WCDMA preferred, radio.48 wich is the latest. Here is the link http://d-h.st/8Jx.

Don't forget to check your APN settings...

T-Mobile in the UK don't do 4G anyway, EE do but they have separate price plans for it. And even if you did have a 4G price plan, the frequency's EE use are not compatible with the "LTE" in the Nexus 4.

All done ... Needed a reflash .. Only problem I am getting now is when on home screen no rotation

[Q] n900t rom on n900w8 (tls)

I have trying to find information on this for awhile and I am very surprised that the same question is not posted more often.
Every time I install an n900t rom (I install the wifi fix as well) I run into the issue of no data connection (my 4g/lte). Now as I read more and more it seems it must be a modem issue? I have looked around for a telus 4.4.2 mode file and cannot find one. Does anyone know where I could get such a file and also can I just load that on after I install the t mobile rom? I love the custom rom and it ducks because obviously I need my data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

apparently it might be a radio and not a modem? I'm a bit lost here. Perhaps I have to load a csc file?

If you're not getting data, have you checked the settings or manually created APN for your carrier?

Please help! no signal after rom change

Hi guys
I have a UK i9505 which was running XXUFNB9, I rooted using CF auto root and installed PAC man rom now i have no signal to make calls or texts i have re installed the original firmware but still nothing, please help guys, i need my phone for work and its becoming a nightmare.

ITS STOCK RECOVERY AT THE MOMENT BUT WHEN I FLASHED IT WAS PHILZ TOUCH (sorry about caps)

Does anyone have any ideas? i've re flashed the modem and still nothing

Check that you're baseband isn't "unknow". And check if you lost the imei

Hi man. People keeps telling you to install new modem, kernel etc...but i think you have corrupted EFS folder.
I hope you backup your EFS folder before flashing ANY rom because, otherwise you will have to go to some repair shop.

Well, I don't understand a lot, but I think you could check if you didn't lost your IMEI. Go on Settings > About Device > Status and check if your IMEI still there.
If it is, I don't know what could be. You could try flash another modem or restore a backup (if you have one) with PhilZ Touch but if it isn't, that means you lost your IMEI. I remember I read about that somewhere, that there is a risk of losing IMEI when you flash a lot of ROMs.
If you have backup from your IMEI, just restore it. If you don't, I don't know what you could do, but I guess you could still do something.
One more thing: Wi-Fi works?

Thanks for the info guys its really getting to me now, i still have imei but no backup, wifi is working as is everything else except signal.

I have been having this problem over 3 months now, still not haven't been solve.... My imei and everything is in place, I tried flashing stock rom, custom rom, factory reset phone, tried almost every modem there is and still no luck, but the thing with mine is when I go into the town area I get a few signal bars certain area in town, very weird, what could really be the problem, I know it's not my network or my Sim card so what could it be

Hey rumbo76 hru, this same problem happened with my brother with note 3, but in here india, he did tha root and falsh tha rom, then he lost root, then he goes bak to stoke firmware so he lost hus signal, and IMEI shows UNKNOWN no network registered, but he search his original firmware n falsh, and he got network n imei number bak, so plzz read n search ur specific device model number n flash, you will be succeed sure.. Plzz update us... Thnks... ?

Can't call from Costa Rica with GOLDENFINGER rom

Yesterday installed a new version of http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/development/movin-please-posts-t2864506
I do all the movements and a correct installation; but when I try to make a call a message saying "No registered" or like "no service" appears. This happens in all the iB4STiD new version of roms in every Kernels.
The carrier is "CLARO" and the kind of band is UMTS or HSPA+
Please help!

Did you configure the APN settings for your carrier? If not, you can find the menu in...
Settings > Wireless and Networks > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names
I am on ATT, so I cannot verify if these work, but I did find these...

Thanks for reply! The problem isn't in the apn or internet conection... Is in all the carrier registration, that means can't call or send sms.
Sometimes the 4G symbol appears and I can navigate in internet but don't allow me to call.

APN settings is all I had. I have an ATT on ATT network, so I do not have too much experience configuring the phone on other carriers.
In the OP, you mentioned "This happens in all the iB4STiD new version of roms in every Kernels." Did it work on his older ROMs or another dev's ROM? If so, I'd suggest flashing one of those to see if it is still working.

Yes, only happen when I have a iB4STiD ROM installed, in another case everything is working but isn't the best ROM. I want the GOLDENFINGER or GOLDENEYE

Confirmed! I try with every Kernel and the solution is only install the GE 37 or less... can somebody speak to iB4STiD

PM him with ALL your details--
Did you wipe (not format) System/Data/Caches? I do it 3X
If you don't have lte, did you change your preferred data choice to hspa+/3g or whatever choice has no lte in it.
Pull and reinsert your sim--

Yes, yes and yes. I do all, but nothing change. I installed a old version of GE (37, 38, 38.1) doesn't work.
Now I'm trying with GE 30. First I trying SHOstock and seems work.

I got more information for you!
The problem started when I installed a KK 4.4.4 Rom, before this never happened anything and always a custom rom allowed me to call.
PD: ONLY with the stock rom (I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_ATT) and a based 4.4.4 custom rom is installed it can use the phone for call. Not just the internet!

Anybody knows something about that???

try this ...
1. install a 4.4.2 stock tw rom for ur carrier via odin
2. flash a custom recovery
3. clean iwipe!!
4. flash my rom
if u never took a 4.4.2 official update that could be ur issue

No it's not at all the same as mdl!!!! If you're on mdl firmware Do Not flash nb1. Are you on mdl firmware?

You are on mdl firmware. It's android 4.2.2. You could try flashing a new modern. See rockrat's modems in the general forum

No, it'll just flash the modern. Nothing else will change. I'm not sure if it will help you though. It could, modems sometimes work better and other times not. It depends on where you are and what works better in that location. You can always flash back to the mdl modem, i.e. baseband

Changing the modem resolves the problem?
I can call with the stock rom (MDL) and 4.4.4 Roms like KANGARAT, BUT I can't call with GOLDENEYE or others kitkat based roms
