Hello guys,
I restored the system files on TWRP but it stuck at 'formatting system using make_ext4fs' funtion.
So i rebooted with power button but there is only lenovo logo without booting
i tried to restore again but now it fails to mount system.
on reboot menu, it says no os installed.
Does anyone have link or file of original system image file or suggestions?
I appreciate any kind of help. Thank you guys

Hi everyone,
I've managed to install DangerSPL on my 32B Magic via Clockwork Recovery - however, Clockwork Recovery keeps vanishing after each reboot and the standard recovery takes its place... what's with that?
It is suppose to do this? I thought it was suppose to replace the stock Android one permanently?
How do I go about making the install stick?
Thanks!
(My first time rooting, updating etc Android)
Cheers for all the support and help!
Nate.
PS>
When it boots back into Android System Recovery <2e>
It says at the bottom :
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command
In /system/recovery.img there is a full copy of everything that is loaded on the recovery partition. This file is automatically flashed onto the recovery partition every time you shut down. That means two things: 1. Any changes you make directly to the recovery partition gets blown away on reboot and 2. If you want to change the recovery partition you're probably better off just sticking the image in /system/recovery.img and rebooting.
So to fix this problem you have to rename the custom recovery file to:
recovery.img
then make sure it's on /system/recovery.img.
This will make sure that you have the custom recovery on every boot.
NB: The info is borrowed and modified a little.

After flashing to the pixel 1.60 rom on my nexus s , I am unable to mount any partition(ie system, sdcard, mount usb storage etc) in clockword mod recovery.
I cant boot to recovery then to clockword mod fine but when i try to mount usb storage
i get the following error
E:Unable to write to ums lunfile (No such file or directory)
However by pressing the volume down button and power button I am able to load in to the O.S. fine with everything working including "turn on usb storage".
So does anybody have a clue on what is going on or how i can fix it.
You help in the matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

did you try going into the mount menu in recovery and mount the sd storage manually?
Ok I finally got everything back to normal.
It was a weird problem, I restarted into fastboot then into recovery for like 6 or 7 times and then finally I could mount usb storage. Then i loaded and then flashed the phone to the codename android rom 1.40 and now everything is working fine.
The thing is I do not know what caused the issue and how issue cleared up.
Anyone has any thoughts?

Working fine for me. Note also USB mounting in recovery is fully recovery and /boot dependant rather than /system dependant.
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
Error may nor be rom dependent.
Ok i do not think the error is rom dependent as it happened again.
This time, will surfing Wikipedia on android mod 1.4 my phone froze.
After plugging out the battery and plugging it in again, the problem appeared again.
1)Phone stuck at " Google" logo screen.
2)When booting into fastboot then recovery, the same problem occurs again
which is I am Unable to mount usb storage or "E:Can't mount /sdcard/" when choosing to load zip from sd card.
Could the problem be faulty flash memory ?
I have only about a month of warranty left.
If you guys think its faulty flash memory, anyone has any tips on how to flash to stock rom and lock the bootloader with the above problem?
Hi i have installed custom recovrey twrp running stock rom. Today i tried formatting the device thru recovery but suddenly my device restarted and is booting and entring recovery. In recovery it enters Open Recovery script and then these texts appear and device restarts
updating partition details
unable to mount data
done
unable to mount storage
unable to mount during gui startup
full SElinux support is present
unable to mount data/media/TWRP /twrps. when trying to read setting file.
Processing AOSP recovery commands
unable to mount ' /data'
wiping data partition
unable to mount ' /data'
formatting cache using make_ext4s function
data partition wipe complete
done processing script file.
And then it reboots. also twrp sometime works and in twrp the internal storage is 0mb. I think the partition is corrupte also I cannot wipe anything. Backup or restore. And the repair attaching the screen

When you boot into recovery! Go to the mount option and try mounting system and all partitions!
I am not sure about this! Whether it will work but still making an effort is not bad! All the best ! Otherwise contact YU customer care they'll provide a refurbished !
All the best [emoji106]

Same problem happened in my device. The one who had this problem, I think yours is resolved. Would you please tell me the way to remount the partition or repartition the internal storage. please brother.
So I had a problem where TWRP counldn't mount system so I tried to format within twrp then I formatted in fastboot. TWRP can now mount it and write to it but when I try to boot to it, it won't load anything but the logo shows (not bootanimation) and shuts down. Then it reboots into recovery.
Edit: Fixed the problem, flashed another rom zip
hi there.. someone please help me. my yureka just keeps restarting whenever i try to do anything from twrp 3.0.2 recovery. looks like the system partitions is corrupted because sometimes i get the message in twrp that unable to mount system, invalid argument; unable to mount cache , invalid argument. i tried flashing the cm12.1 factory images using fastboot but still the phone doesn't boots up. it shows the yu logo and then it keeps restarting. someone please help me..
Try using a different twrp version like 3.0.1.0
