watching Vids on You tube

Apologies if this has been mentioned before i did a search but couldn't find anything.
Had my DHD for a week now and i love it but i do have an issue when watching video's on the youtube app...
Watching the video's is fine but when i come to exit from You tube (by selecting the back button) the phone gets really really laggy and unresponsive, i tried to uninstall the app in app management but it doesn't let me have that option the only option i have is to uninstall the updates.
i've tried that and reinstalled the updates but it made no difference.
I also tried downloading an app killer to see if that would sort the unresponsiveness out but it doesn't make any difference either, i need to restart the phone then everything is fine...
Anyone else have any issue's ?
Or any ideas what i can do ?
Thanks
I had the same problem. Uninstall the updates and don't reinstall then.

I came across this bug this morning.
Ill try removing the updates.
had the same problem for over a week now.
its nothing to do with the update, i ve had the problem before the youtube app update and afterwards.
furthermore, i cant log in to my youtube account for my subscription video either. whenever i try to log in it gets stuck.
looks like a Sense related issue.
I removed the updates and mine is now working fine

I'd like to add 'Beautiful Widgets' to the list of applications that don't work properly under Aurora.
Several people have commented on other threads in this regard.
The clock widget freezes after some time and cannot be restored except by rebooting the phone.
When the widget freezes it also seems to freeze other widgets.

I'm also using Beautiful Widgets without any problems.
Camera: if you set zoom, taken photos are not zoomed.
The games I had problems with are now working, in fact are working since 1.13 update

I don't understand what could be causing the problem on my phone. I've tried installing the app from the market and restoring it from a local save using MyBackUp Pro and problems occur with both methods.
The last set of problems begain when I updated Aurora 1.11 to 1.13. After updating I only wiped the 2 caches, but did not do a full system wipe. perhaps this is contributing to the problem.
Interestingly, I have removed Beautiful Widgets in the interim and other widgets are now behaving okay.
Picture editing at the gallery crashes after first modification.
I don't think many uses this feature, but sometimes it's good to brighten pictures before sending mms.

OmniROM 4.4 Recording camera issue

I tried searching for this question and had no luck.
If I open the camera app it starts right up but as soon as I switch to video recording it forecloses. After that it won't allow me to re-open the camera app. I have to force close the whole app and clear cache to re-open it.
Is anyone else having this issue ? I know it's a new rom but so far its my fav. Is there any way of fixing this?

Facebook Video Error Solution

On the official Sony Support site, they suggested to uninstall Facebook App and to re-install it - and some suggested to clear its data and try again, all these are temporary solutions
I downgraded my Facebook by uninstalling the current version and installing an older version. The version I have chosen is version 5 (current in July 2004 is v.12) - V.5 allows me to choose which app I can play the video on and gives me the possibility of downloading it as well (through ES Download App)
It looks old, I lost the function of adding a picture into the comments (can do it on PC anyhow) otherwise I am happy with this version
Here you can get it, (you can try newer versions for the video error issue like V.6 or V.7 as well or even V.9) as I was looking for the version that allows me to download videos (you can see all other versions at the bottom of the page in the following link)
http://www.androiddrawer.com/15634/download-facebook-5-0-0-26-31-app-apk/
And other solution use Facebook on browser...

^ which for non-root users is also the best way to avoid frequent wake locks caused by the Facebook app.
mine doesn't give me a error message on facebook when play a video anymore,....
all i did was "clear cache", "clear data", "uninstall", reboot and installed Facebook from the Play Store
Any Facebook beta user here? Since yesterday's 15.0.0.0.2 update, video problem looks to be solved.. I am even getting lockscreen notifications just like iphone.. Can anybody plz confirm?

Seems to work for me. Thanks
After 17.1.2.A.0.314 update, the error is gone at the first few seconds of playback. The error message comes out at the end of the video playback. It means you can watch the whole video without error, only when the video ends the error message comes out.
after 3 days without a error video glitch,... that error message came back again,.... i guess that uninstall method is only a temporary fix,... (im still on 17.1.1.A.0.402)
I can confirm joining the beta program and downloading the beta via the play store has resolved video playback
Didn't reboot or clear anything, just upgraded and it's working now
The FB app is crap. Has always been and will probably always be. I use FB via browser.

Alpha tester is v15 and beta tester get v14
I found a link somewhere I forgot, but basically just log off facebook.
Go to setting>App, then slide to the left tab for all apps, scroll down close to bottom to look for Xperia with Facebook, disable that app.
I tried on mine and it works.

This seemed to work for me but need to give it a couple of days to be sure.
Thanks guys ..
I have tried all the above mentioned solutions, they were all temporary as I said in the OP .. Downgrading the FB application also gave the the chance to be able to download any video posted over FB, so it is not just a solution for the error message it is an added bonus
I too have the video playback error. I solve it by clicking Internet setting in Wireless &network. Hope this helps.

Youtube subsciption crash

I'm having a weird issue with Youtube. If I click on the tab for subscriptions, it crashes every time. I've tried clearing data/cache and "uninstalling it" back to the version that comes with the Mediapad ... no luck.
Mobile site subscriptions works fine. Videos otherwise play fine in the app.
Anyone?
The subscription tab is working fine for me at my 325 dpi setting. The new Kodi (v17), on the other hand, crashes for me every time so I had to side load an older version. You might try that with YouTube to see if it is just the newest version causing you problems. YouTube is a "special app", so I think the normal install of an apk will not work. There is a thread on XDA for an add-free version of youtube that has instructions for replacing the YouTube app and maybe even the add-free version will work for you. If you do replace your app, don't forget to turn off automatic updates in the play store.
Hmmm, I'm not running the DPI hack...
It's crashing for me as well, I'm using the lowest size setting within Display.
Confirmed bug. If I switch to Settings->Display->View Mode->Medium, Youtube subscriptions no longer crash.
anyone has resolved? I can't use subscription tab in youtube...
