Hi topongo,
You didn't explain much, so sorry for the obvious question. Is your bootloader (still) unlocked?
"fastboot oem unlock <YOUR PASSCODE>"
Maybe you could also try to relock and then unlock again... Did you try?

Yes, I already tried it...
And I don't know why but I can't receive the system update from huawei, actually I'm still at b138 version
I'm on LX2J and I once unlocked before, but didn't root or anything else. After receiving an update, it got locked again.
Not sure what the conditions for updating are, but maybe you can't receive updates when you have a custom recovery installed or something like that.
EDIT: I found my original stock rom with the firmwarefinder, but I came to know that you need the original recovery in order to use update.app. I tried flashing the recoveries extracted from the update.app, but it still fails. That's why I think that the issue might be connected.
Thank you very much, so no idea for problem with flash?
Recently I've installed an update and my bootloader has relocked, so I thought that probably the stock recovery was reinstalled (or reconfigured) then without any problem I was able to reflash twrp.
Hi, I cant flash my recovery on p10 lite, installation successfully but dont have twrp. Sorry for my english.

Hi
I am new to the OnePlus 2. When I bought it, stock 5.1.1 installed, I downloaded and installed the latest Marshmallow stock build via an OTA update. I then followed the official OnePlus video guide on unlocking the bootloader and rooting the device. I successfully unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP and then went on to flash SuperSU. Unfortunately, then device did not reboot - and I was soft-bricked, stuck on the boot animation. I am not sure what went wrong here.
In order to un-brick and recover my device, I downloaded the latest Marshmallow OxygenOS 3.0.2 zip from OnePlus. I was able to get this onto my device and I flashed it successfully in TWRP, and all is well.
My questions are:
1) Having flashed the latest stock, Marshmallow OxygenOS 3.0.2, will my bootloader still be unlocked?
2) Will I still have TWRP recovery, or stock recovery?
3) How can I successfully root?
Thank you in advance
I already forget what it is looks like when I change from stock to custom ROM.
But hey, here is the guide to help you:
1. use Fastboot command -> fastboot oem device-info
If "Device unlocked: ture" than your bootloader is unlocked. Normally, if you have not yet touch anything, oem is locked. But if you do unlock it, it will STAY unlock unless you use fastboot command line to change back to locked.
2. OP website only show is optional to use official recovery, so I think it is depend on you. Just go and check on it
3. For OnePlus Brand is easy. Just go and download SuperSU 2.74, place into your "sdcard", and flash it.

Hi - many thanks for the reply and information
Just to confirm, question 2: I flashed the latest stock from TWRP to recover from a soft brick. Would that process have flashed stock recovery also? Do I need to check this out by pressing Vol. down and Power buttons on boot?
Thanks again

TWRP will ask you, if you want to disable stock recovery flash, after you flash official firmware.
Rooting the newest stock firmware with the latest supersu from chainfire's website will turn your device into a bootloop.
Here you can find the right supersu for your firmware:

Hello and thank you for sending me the information and links. Flashing the modified supersu worked and I am now rooted
Just a final question please...Before I received your reply I had flashed stock several times and tried different supersu versions. And ended up in bootloops as a result of this. Is this likely to have damaged my device in any way?

No, this will not damage your phone. I can not say too much about it, but the device shouldn't be damaged, it's a software-thing
PS: Hope my english is okay...and if I helped you, I would be very grateful if you click the Thanks-Button ...thank you

I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP. Everything was fine. I put SuperSU.zip into the phone, booted into TWRP, installed SuperSU.zip, and then selected wipe cahe/dalvik before exiting. Now I only get the erecovery. I then did a factory reset within TWRP and now I just get the Chines erecovery. Is there anything I can do?
Thank you
edit: I can see about 2GB of data in my system folder as well as others. It looks like the EMUI is there. My phone just doesn't know how to boot to it.
edit 2: I was able to sideload KangVIP but I'd rather have the stock ROM. Does anybody know where one is available?
Hello, as you have unlocked the bootloader? With the dc-unlock software?
Thanks

How did you install TWRP if you only see the erecovery?
My adb was working earlier today, but now, when I "adb reboot bootloader", it just says "error: device '(null)' not found"
EMUI isn't loading now.
That last thing I did was run "flash_all.bat" in "EDI-AL10-C233B027_6.0" from https://mega.nz/#!VRN2AICD!HqTY2ai1XAl-bOoCFW_YfBoyhOr6GhoiWXL68l7QNhg
The flashing was successfull but after it rebooted, I just encountered bootloops.

Yes I unlocked the bootloader. I think when I went back into TWRP, ran the SuperSU.zip file and then wiped the cache/dalvik, that's what did it. Before I did that, after I unlocked my bootloader, I was able to reboot and boot back into EMUI no problem.

So this is the stock Honor Note 8 image? I think I'll just do an adb sideload within TWRP with this badboy and be ok. I'm going to backup beforehand.

For unlocking the bootloader you followed the step by step instructions to the topic:

You're forced to buy the key (4 euro) on the site:

The B017 stock honor note 8 is EDI-AL10C233B017CUSTC233D002_Firmware_China_Chann.zip
Try searching for that file.
BTW, I solved my problem awhile ago. I actually used that file. I had to extract the UPDATE.APP from it.
This phone is very difficult to brick.

Nevermind. Everything is fine now. I loaded the firmware you have in your post saving the data on my sdcard. Everything works beautifully. Thank you very much. Consider this case closed.

Hey guys,
i still didn´t get it to work. Any Tipps for a LG Noob, how to get back to stock recovery?
plz give me a hint or throw a link in at me, If i´m missing something obvious :silly:
Can't you just install the official LG suite software on a desktop or laptop and then use that? It will probably detect the missing or "damaged" recovery and then automatically "repair".

Now I'm on stock rom with stock recovery, but the "fastboot oem lock" leads to a "corrupt device" that will not boot anymore. Can't the H870 (europe) be relocked, once it was unlocked via unlock.bin?
Isn't that the exact same procedure but then simply choosing "lock"?

i thought it was, but as a mentioned, it leads to a startscreen, that says: your device is corrupt and will not boot. after flashing the unlock bin it boots again

Is there a "lock.bin" file that can be fetched from the LG site maybe?
From the LG developer site:
4. Once unlocked, it cannot be undone.
There is no turning back once you have unlocked the bootloader. You will not be able to revert your phone to locked status.

well it actually shouldn't. axon7toolkit should flash fastboot onto your phone
But I thought the Chinese still had fastboot... Did you enable OEM unlocking?
Try enabling USB debugging too, and use a pc with ADB to issue 'adb reboot bootloader'. maybe it'll get there, maybe not

Hi, I recently tried to downgrade back to stock firmware from Lineage OS using the Dload method.
However now its on a bootloop, the versions of CAN-01 and CAN-11 all give me a bootloop, after waiting on it a while it will boot into recovery mode.
Usually this is a simple problem to fix however it reset my bootloader to locked as well as my twrp recovery, I'm not sure how I can recover from this other than sending to repairs.
Any suggested solutions!
It could just be I have the wrong update.zip but I want some more views on this.

Hi! Thank you for the fast reply, I remember that I've tried method 1 already and since it reset my bootloader, it's no longer unlocked. The first thing I did when I realised it was a bootloop I tried to reflash my TWRP as I have a backup but it fails everytime I try to flash anything through fastboot as my bootloader is locked.
I was slightly naive and didn't think it would wipe my TWRP and bootloader back to locked.
What do you recommend I try?

I've fixed the issue now thanks, I forgot to wipe the cache and extra bits after the Dload update thats why it was stuck on the bootloop :silly:
My problem before was I couldnt get the IDs needed for my bootloader unlock code since I couldn't actually check the IDs through settings.
