The ROM is very pretty, but I did not find the option to decrease the illumination return of the physical buttons. Just deactivating. I went back to RR 6 but I intend to test this ROM as soon as find out how to change the intensity of the lighting.
Can we expect upgrades for this ROM?

I tested it again today to be sure and really did not find any physical key configuration. I did not find out about the time and intensity of key lighting, or assigning functions. Besides not being fully translated into my language.

Any prediction to add lighting control and functions of the front physical buttons ?? Thanks for your work on this ROM. @mohan CM

Another ROM released with problems and that was abandoned. So does the Nexus experience and Pixel. Among others. And if you say anything say you are rude!

But yes : almost every ROM Oreo ROM has been abandoned.
I thought I'd offer some ROMs myself, but had to give it up
It's simple : the device is not Oreo ready
I have managed to build a new DOT version based on their latest sources.
It worked without any problems... and I still run it on my mi5s Plus.
But compared to the version offered here, the new version has a little less features.
And I think the nice thing here, that it was neatly organized, has vanished.
I dared to express this on their Telegram group.
I got immediatly banned ith no warnings or explanations.
So I confirm : great ROM. Lousy team.
And if that pleases you : I'm rude.

I agree with you. The ROM is very good but the team that should be finishing development has abandoned the job. Sorry for the bad English, I'm Brazilian and I'm using the Google translator.

penguin it would be possible for you to focus on a ROM deur example RR that seems like it will not do anything or u at least have another option to AEX or Lineage

Today my Bootloader is finally unlockable and this ROM is the first I will try. This is exactly what I was looking for - pure Android with little extra features and performance/battery friendly. FP gestures seem to be working... excellent.
Today I will flash and will report back my experience.

Hi, thank you for cooking this DotOS for redmi 4x.
However I have some questions related to the Treble development.
I think that the advantage of treble (from custom rom point of view) is the cross-platform development of roms through GSI's.
So I thought that after the release of the now stable Treble variant of LineageOS (again, thank you for your hard work), there will be a flashable vendor zip/image/something; and on the top of that we can use GSI's.
My point is that I don't really understand why is this Redmi4x DotOS released now, when there is a GSI DotOS.
Of course you are free to do what you want, I just don't see the reason here.
Since the description is rather void about the background, I don't know if this Rom uses the same vendor implementation as your LineageOS build or not. Or is it more up to date? Will your Lineage build be maintained in the future or just this DotOs build? Will (or already is) the vendor part be the same in the 2 roms? Do you plan to release a separate vendor implemantation (headless, without Rom) in the future for Redmi 4x?
Until things do not become clearer I'll use your Lineage build instead. :angel:

which variant? i've installed pico and i don't have that issue.

When I flash gapps right after the ROM, it is impossible to boot, it's stuck on bootlogo... So I have to boot once and then install gapps .
I tried with nano, pico and aroma variants, with previous versions too (may 17th) and still the same...
With other custom rom too! But it's weird, last week I installed AOSPExtended with no problem and now it does the same thing! I don't understand...

charging very slow, more than 4 hours use stock charger and QC 3.0 charger --- both 4 hour +

Force close Device Health Service and disable it. I did this and it's working fine now.

ROM is good, after flash and get 60k score for antutu, great for santoni. For gaming is good and have gaming mode

Can i use google pay i.e. tez on this rom without root.. or magisk manager ??

Bro it bricks my phone when it discharges to 0 % battery
And after i clean flashed the rom again rhe battery is stuck it dosent change / drain...

The ROM does't support rounded corner

The best rom, by far, the battery lasts too, very smooth, even in games, I've only found two faults, the rounded edges and the footprint works slow, the rest the rest excellent

It has the stable label so I'd imagine it works for daily driver. Regarding dual apps, I'm not sure what that is.

So just installed this today and using it after 6 hours (only) -
1. The rom on it's own is beta-ish, in terms of UI especially, you'd come across a few bugs/glitches. Not sure if that's due to A11 or the rom.
2. UI is definitely a step down on A11. It does much less occupyin basically the same amount of space (A11 nitpick, not rom's)
3. There are some cool features on A11, but not very big game changing. Basically it's 10.2 - I'd think A12 will be much more "updated"
4. Back to rom, it's stable, performance is good enough (not sure what to expect of such an old device as vince). Can't speak for battery backup (yet)
tl;dr interesting rom, very less customisation options (coming from Havoc), UI is minimal (A11), and I'm gonna stick with it.

I am trying to update my phones adreno driver using this https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...pengl-vulkan-drivers-v-474-0-1-1-128.4042619/ and as listed that the drivers require 9.0 or higher, listed on the post above its android 11, but doing it it shows that this rom is android 7.1.2,, is this real? i am on the inital page havent restarted my phone yet,,
basically:
recovery
wipe,dalvik cache etc
install > rom gapps
then install driver
shows cannot be cause its 7.1.2 ,
please help

It's stable for a daily driver, the only thing I didn't love is the QS and how the brightness. bar is big just like in MIUI but that's just me. I went back to havoc 3 due to lawnchair not being available in R.

Nope, but

ROM seems very smooth, no WPS option to connect to WiFi. I really like this rom, only that WPS option missing for me. I might have to go back to my MIUI 11 rom as I need the dual apps option, very important for me.

WPS option have been removed since android 10 for all devices.. thats why you don't see it
