Change screenshot default output format - ZTE Axon 7 Mini Questions & Answers

Is there any way to revert the screenshot format to output to png again? All my screenshots only output as jpg now and I'm no fan of it not one bit
I'm not looking for converters. I just want png as the default output for my screenshots. I wonder who tf over at ZTE was a good idea besides to conserve space which I get but there should at least be an option boasted under settings which I never found/haven't found yet

[FIX] Audible.com Player Skin corrected

For those that use the Audible.com player will have noticed there is no skin defined for 800x480 and so the player defaults to the smallest. This leaves you with the player in the top left and a corrupt screen unless you use one of the screen resizing utilities. All that is need is to increase the size on the JPG and add them to the skins INI file. Unfortunately Audible tech support don't seem to understand the difference between a Touch and a Touch Pro2 and keep quoting the wrong resolution. Anyway I've made the changes myself and they are attached. Copy the contents of the zip to your device's \Program Files\Audible\skins directory. Only the INI file will overwrite an existing file. I admit the landscape ones aren't as neat as the portrait ones as I couldn't match the gradient but you will usually be using this in portrait anyway.
Does anyone have a .cab file for audible? i want to be able to install the player from my phone microsd card instead of having to connect it to my pc to install it.
never mind i found a way to get the cab from the exe
Thank you! Great Job!
Thanks!
Seems to be a small bug with the time indicators, but I can live with it!

Music Compression

Is there a software that will allow music files to be compressed from the device itself, without having to connect to a PC? All my music is large files, like 3-4 MB, and I am trying to get them down to 1-2 MB, to save space. Did all the searches and found 0.
Can this thread be deleted? This was posted in the wrong area
mp3, ogg etc ARE compressed. won't get much more compression
no idea about the thread questiob, soz
I meant change the bitrate to a lower format, so that the file is smaller (compressed)
I don't have a suggestion for PPC but on your PC try encoding by mp3PRO - same quality at 1/2 the size of normal MP3

Use a real computer with a real processor and a mains connection
That way you'll still be able to use your phone and it won't be hideously slow / run out of battery lol

[Q] How to cancel file association with certain program

How do you change/edit file association with certain program?
Usually if you have more than 1 program that can handle certain type of files, you get the selection to choose which program to use to open that file.
If you also select the check box below it, it will not ask you anymore next time you open the same type of file.
But, how do you edit/change that selection in the future?
I associated AVI files with QQPlayer and it actually makes it default for all my other video files and I found it not very smooth. Some other players play other format much better, and I want to change it back.
Just have not found a good player for AVI files yet. Really surprised provided this format (AVI) is used by Canon cameras.

as far as i know, you have to clear defaults for the program. It can be done under settings applications manage applications, click on the app and click clear defaults

Is it possible to export Sequence Shot (super slow motion) clips?

As far as I can tell, Sequence Shot clips are saved in .GIF form to the internal storage, but they are only a few frames from the entire clip (this is what the gallery uses to preview them). The phone, however, has access to the full, smooth versions of these slow motion clips, but they don't appear to be stored in a user accessible location, and there is no option to export them. Are these full clips accessible somehow?
[possible duplicate of a similar thread from 2014 which was unanswered]
IMPORTANT UPDATE: As it turns out, the .GIF file DOES contain the slow motion video, but you have to simply edit the file (with any free hex editor) and remove the .GIF portion of the file. See my forum post here for more information.

Why photo size getting bigger, after I rotate?

I did rotate my photo for 90° in the photo album and save, then the file size become BIGGER than the original one, why will become like this?
Since you didn't mention how bigger the file was, one can only speculate, but did you use lossless rotation?
If yes, the file could grow larger because a) additional metadata added to exif (pic info) b) could be adding thumbnail, c) even lossless rotation requires some of the data to be re-encoded and therefore change file size.
If it wasn't lossless rotation, not only the whole picture was re-encoded and file size changed , but also some of fine detail was lost during compression.

Not sure is it lossless rotation. I just did it in the media album app which is original in s8, use : Edit → Transform → Rotate, then the file size from 3.13MB become 4.60MB
