Sorry by the question, but I would like to know about it: the stock OS of J5 2017/J530 is 32 bit and hardware has 64 bit architeture? There is no avaliable rom in x64?

samsung has locked 7870 SOCs from running roms in 64Bit by not providing 64bit libs for them, therfore you cant make 64bit Roms. The kernel / Bootloader is 64Bit ready so if one day in the future samsung were to release a 7870 device with 64bit firmware, we will be able to use it and bring support to our device. (and many other 7870 powered phones/tablets)

There is a way to run 64bits rom on J530F (2017)
On the other hand, the rom dont have google play services and other services...

Hi Ive looked at the specs for my CPU but it doesnt say whether its ARM based or what.
I guess GApps ARM would be a safe bet, but can anyone confirm please which Google Apps would be the recommended way to go for this CPU

Hi there the apps you referred to are all 32-bit so should be safe for most variants, but as some apps are made for a certain type of CPU and especially if its rooted and you try to install it may let you proceed.

The CPU is arm based x86 and any arm based x86 gapps should work.

Hola. La gapps que me ha funcionado con galaxy note 3 , Nikgapps-core-arme64-11-202110501-signed , y crDroidAndroid-11-20220516-hlte-v7.18.. Va perfecto y se calienta poco y funciona Google play storer.
La lineageos 19 no funciona bien con la gapps 12 ,se calienta mucho y la he tenido que desinstalar ,

you can use the LineageOS 13, it's the only rom that works on my j320m so far, you must use the boot.img that is on the thread of the rom, you can find it on the downloads tab
J320M Stock ROM

Se vc pode instalar a stock rom do j320F no J320M eu já n sei, vc pode tentar, mas tenha certeza q vc está com a stock rom do J320M antes, caso acontece algo errado. já tentei instalar outras ROMS no meu j320m mas nenhuma funciona. Nem a FlymeOs, LineageOs é a unica q o celular n fica preso na tela "Samsung J3 2016".
I do not understand why the variant M of j3 does not have a single rom .. only the other ones are bad there, what problem of this variant in relation to the others to not have any oxo rom

This phone has problems with the boot.img of the rom's, it has to be adapted to this model, if it's not, the phone keeps stuck in the "Samsung Galaxy J3 2016" boot logo. LineageOS is the only that works because it has a boot.img adapted for the J320F, and for some reason it works on J320M.
the boot.img of the lineage j320f was adopted I believe that because the J320f differs from the model M only to be 1chip so it is difficult to boot because the model M is 2 then if the boot.img is passed then it will not go because the kernel has q be adapted to work the 2 chips the way it was just installing the same stock rom ... I'll try but if I can and it is probably likely that I use only 1 chip now
I was able to boot the RR N in the J320M and I got success because it was not stuck on the screen with the name Galaxy J3 (6). But sadly it did not leave the boot animation screen what for me is already an advance. Sucess fuly

So I'm wanting to mess with the firmware of my joying 9853i and mind you I have never built a rom. So it will be a learning curve for me. But I am capable. Joying said they would not give me their source to use is there a way this can be adapted for that?

No. You cannot. This firmware contains a lot of specific hardware drivers for these units, a crippled bluetooth and USB-stack, and all kind of interfaces to the specific MCU firmware and hardware.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I'm amazed at how a unit with this SoC can run Android 9, and my phone can't get get past Android 7, though.
Aren't there drivers out there for an SC9853i-IA-based phone to upgrade Android?!
