Hello everyone! I installed lineage os 14.1-20180212 on my new oneplus 5. Everything is ok but i can't understand one thing. On my previous oneplus one i had cyanogenmod and when I rebooted my phone or turned it on it always asked me password before I saw lock screen, where I should retype password again. I mean that on oneplus 5 after I make reboot or turn it on , I see the same screen if I just lock it as push once power buttom. Is it OK? Is it the same as on oneplus one? I am worry about encryption on it.

my nexus 7 puts itsekf to sleep and I can get to the passcode screen but when I enter the password it resets itself straight back to the password screen again! i have to do a system reboot to get it to work. I am running a clean version of the latest version of android and i dont know what is causing the bug but I`m assuming it mudt be software rather than hardware. any help is appreciated!
Finally got round to asking but I've noticed after updating to 7.0 that I no longer need to enter my encryption pass phrase to get the phone to startup.
It does require the pin to unlock the home screen but not to start up.
Is this a change in 7.0 doesn't seem like it would be as secure as requiring a pin to boot?
Hi All,
I installed DP2 today via OTA (fully stock, locked bootloader) on restart I have to enter my password to boot/unecrypt. When the phone is started I have to type in the password as fingerprint won't work after restarting.... at this point the screen goes blank and drops me back to the lock screen. I know it is the correct password as there is no error and it is the same password I booted with.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I think it will be a factory reset for me! (
Thanks Andi
I reset my phone and am very pleased that the google backup is so much more fully featured these days.
I think that the issue may have been caused by my companies MDM software as there was an alert / notification I could not read/action.
All working nicely on dp2 now
Help my mi a1 asking the authentication pattern/pin in the middle of booting instead of after finishing the booting like usually, its bothering me coz it make the boot twice longer
Disable the feature called secure start up in settings
deleted - I see duplicate thread now
first disable the screen lock to swipe/none under setting (security & setting), after doing first step again click on screen lock and select pattern, if its ask for secure boot clicks on NO. Now you successfully solved the problem.
I installed lineage os 17.1 on my redmi 2 prime phone. i downloaded it from here. After installing it through twrp(3.6.0), I rebooted to system. After rebooting it came to the lock screen. when I type my password and hit enter, the screen goes black for a second and it comes again to the lock screen. I tried this video on youtube, but when i click on app info after the system UI crashes, the screen again goes black and back to lock screen. All my installed apps are there and i even receive notifications from them. I tried connecting it to PC, but usb debugging seems to have turned off. I dont know what to do.
I don't really care about the data in that phone. I just want it to work.
PLEASE HELP!
I would suggest you flash a rom from lineage official website: https://lineageos.org/ or a rom from XDA forum.
To solve this issue, if you can still enter recovery
- format data - "yes";
- clean-flash a new rom.
