I received kitkat upgrade via VZ. After the upgrade the phone no longer can use google related apps-youtube, gmail, GV, Groupon when connected on the wifi.
Google apps works via 4g connection. When i tried calling vz they told me to do factory reset. i have tried diff phone for the same apps without issues.
Tried removing wifi and re-adding and uninstalling the apps without luck
Can someone please help me?
My phone model is VS980 4g lte Android 4.4.2
build KOT491.VS98024A
software version VS98024A
I just upgraded to Lollipop and lost LTE. I have EHRPD 3G only.
I am rooted and on Extreme Syndicate 5.0 Lollipop.
I have tried the usual items found in Google:
1) Removed SIM, rebooted. Put back SIM
2) Checked LTE settings under mobile networks (Global, also tried CDMA/ LTE)
3) Checked APN (vzwinternet, internet and VZWINTERNET)
4) Tried basic toggling of airplane mode, data, etc.
I am trying to avoid going back to kitkat stock and working back to lollipop.
I am hearing that a new SIM may be required but I have not gone that route yet and would like to resolve right away rather than taking a day for a SIM to ship to me.
Any help is appreciated.
Have you factory reset the phone after the update? It would be something to try.

I tried numerous things. Right now my LTE has come back however things are kind of strange when I reboot, but at least ultimately end up working. I have a new SIM to throw in there when I lose things entirely again. I'm now sort of convinced that the problem is the SIM as I have tried a few different ROM's including stock unrooted KitKat and data always acts the same. I'm now on 5.0 and it's again the same.
Hello, after upgrade to 5.0 my s5 verizon, i lost 4g, but on 4.4 it worked fine in russia
Hi all,
I have VNS-L21 Dual Sim, with L21C432B160, my collegue updated me to B336 Nougat, but I wanted to receive the official via ota and thats why I rolled back with the offcial huawei rollback package and downloaded from the same website (consumer.huawei.com) L21C432B160 and flashed it. Everything went without errors or stuckings, did hard reset after all this. But Wifi+ function doesn't seems to be working. I can switch it on and off from settings, but when is on its not doing that it supposed to do (switching off wifi when no known wifi around and switch back on when known wifi is in range). Before that it worked very well. Can you give me an advice what to do?
It seems that fnction need to "teach" itself and that takes about a week. Now I've received notification and wifi+ turned on my wifi. Pls close the theme.
I just upgrade my Nokia 6(TA-1000) to official Android 8.0.0 (Oreo).
Then my Cellular network won't work anymore.
I live in Hong Kong, using sim card service "CMHK".
I think it is LTE/WCDMA mode.
Tried "*#*#4636#*#*" and changing the settings.
But the connection always shown IPv4: Failed(2)
The phone notification show it is connected and running 3G network.
But the upload/download speed is always 0KB/s.
Reset to factory setting already.
Before upgrade Android everything work fine.
Anyone have the same problems?
Now, what can i do....?
It seems I can't even downgrade my Android.
Only, have to wait for next update and hope it will fixed?
I think i am screwed.

I already do factory reset on System Settings.
I think it is the same as reset on recovery menu.
It still Android 8.0.0 and problem still exists.

No, there is a lot difference between system reset(soft reset) and recovery reset (hard reset)
Try it, may be it solve your problem

I use official update.
All firmware should be correct?
BTW, I get a new sim card from ISP but cellular network still not working.
Also, tried both sim card slot 1 and slot 2 nothing work.
May be new system not compatible with my SIM card service only which is "CMHK" aka "中國移動香港".
Hope next update will fix that...

NOKIA 6
hi,
i updated my nokia 6 TA-1000 to oreo update.
i faced many issues like lte not working.
in battery saver mode launcher is stopping suddenly.
it is not detecting the sim correctly.
i didnt get network signals correctly.
Then i tried to hard reset my mobile ,after complete reset and after rebooting it stopped at language selection,i clicked lets go many times but it is not working .it got stucked there.
is there anyway to get rid of it.i asked for nokia chat support but they are asking me to take mobile to nearest service center.
if there is any solution please guide me with it .thank you in advance.
I just turn off the cellular network yesterday.
After I wake up from bed, my phone Google service can not connect from wifi(can't use email, Google store).
BUT! After reinsert my sim card and turn back on cellular network, everything working now.
Both 4G cellular and Google service all good.
May be some part of the network is cached.
So, if you encounter this problem just turn off cellular network and wait.

It seems that, the old slot 1 cached your sim card.
So, you change to slot 2 work, but you can't use SD card.
And I found that if you wait a long time the cache will clear.
You can try to insert sim card back to slot 1 after 1-2 days.

The only option was left to flash stock firmware, but as it updated to oreo, its bootloader has also been updated so I will suggest you to wait for official oreo firmware to release, please don't try to downgrade your device for now, it can brick your device very badly, keep patience, if any solution will come out, we will definitely tell you

Yes, I got it fixed...
1) Just turn off your cellular network.
2) Wait for 1-2 days.
3) Turn on your cellular network again, it should work.
How can I off cellular network. Will keeping it in flight mode helps?

Thank you for raising this question. My phone got the same problem. I am just wondering if I should send it to maintenance center but I guess they will just do reset.
And by saying "turn off cellular network and wait for 1-2 days", do you mean by just turning off the data usage, or turning it to flight mode/ turning the phone.

I just read a comment from a forum in HK and some members find a way to fix the problem. I tried it and it is successful.
{lihkg.com/thread/544787/page/1?ref=web&post=20}
i face same problem .. Nokia care told me that your phone motherboard problem
Before we begin, let me just say that, yes, I'm retarded.
Here's the story. I bought the phone from Amazon in Mexico. I was using it just fine on the latest official update with Mexican carrier Unefon (MVN of AT&T Mexico) on 4G LTE just fine.
Yesterday I decided I wanted to give Lineage OS 16 a go.
I tried installing it but failed. I ended up with TWRP saying there was no OS despite having flashed it. Rebooting to system just bootlooped the phone.
So I gave up and went back to stock using Miflash and the stock image from a thread in here.
Everything went smoothly, or so I thought. Now my phone refuses to connect to 4G.
So far, I've tried:
• Swapping the sim to the other slot
• A different APN someone from the mi community forums suggested
• Forcing LTE using *#*#4636#*#*
• Tried to re-register on the network calling my carrier
• Manually searching for the network
Manually searching for the network returns only the competitor's 4G LTE network, and I just happen to have a SIM, so I tried and now know 4G still works on the phone itself.
I have also tried my SIM on an iPhone and the iPhone does pick up the LTE signal.
I'll leave a screenshot of the system just in case. Every suggestion is appreciated.
I have same issue, did you solved it?
