I put TWRP on it but I'd like to be able to go back to the stock recovery without flashing the whole stock rom.
edit: stock lollipop recovery for 8.0
Find your rom online(just google "sm-**** stock rom"), Open the rom with 7-zip. There is going to be a file called recovery.img. You can flash that with TWRP
I recommend samsungbay.com. It has faster download speeds

Hi i have installed TWRP on my phone but I can't use OTA. I want to ask - if i download lollipop rom from samsung, extract stock recovery.img from ROM archive - will it work flashed by flashify?
Since you need to download a ROM anyway to get the stock recovery image, you might as well get the latest ROM for your device and not bother with the OTA. Simply download the complete and latest ROM package for your device from sammobile.com or samsung-updates.com and flash it through Odin. Afterwards, root if desired and replace the stock recovery with TWRP.
If I install custom recovery (via odin) my stock recovery will be gone right. So, how do I backup my current stock recovery.img so that I can recover it later? I was looking for the answer on many threads and most xda members suggest to use the 'fastboot' method (which temporarily injected the custom recovery and return the stock recovery immediately). But this fastboot method does not work with Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-9005. Is there any other alternative how to backup the stock recovery?
EDIT: the alternative method that I can think of is to use Flashify app. It can backup the stock recovery image but, in other to use this app, I must be root. and in other to root i must install custom recovery.. and.... yeah I lost the stock recovery.. this is the problem.

Hmmm.. here is my situation. I have the official ROM KitKat. It contains the kitkat stock recovery.img. I updated my phone to Lollipop and I believe it has updated my recovery.img to lollipop version (I found it has more options than the KitKat version). I cannot find the official ROM of my phone. My question is,
where can I find the official lollipop ROM? I just received it via OTA. Does reflashing the ROM will backup my recovery.img? I mean I want to obtain this recovery.img file.
Android System Recovery <3e>: LRX21V.N9005DXUGBOD1

I checked all the Asus Firmware for my phone by downloading it and I cant find it anywhere. Will a stock recovery work from a 500CG?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to unroot my device to go back to stock firmware. I did that by odin but recovery is still "zenlte"
i also used smart switch resit the device but still the recovery is the custom recovery.
Is there a way to go back to stock recovery?
Hi
so i have made the experience that if i flash the stock firmware from Sammobile, the recovery is going to be the old stock one, but you should make a Backup first. I can't guarantee that it will work.
Maybe you can also only flash the stock recovery .. I've never tried this cause i always wanted to have a rooted phone.
Thanks Lecani
Actually I flashed stock firmware from Sammobile but the recovery is not affected, still custom recovery.
Where can I find stock recovery for S6 edge+ (SM-G928C)?
Thanks

I guess having custom recovery after flashing the stock firmware is impossible. Recovery.img is included in stock firmware as far as i remember. Maybe you can try pick the stock recovery.img from the firmware, make is flashable tar and do that way. I have flashed stock firmware bunch of times and each time recovery came stock unless i flash twrp.

I am currently on orangefox recovery and c38 rom, but i want tupdate to rui 2.0 so need to lock bootloader, but cant get back stock recovery. Tried flashing ozip but still orangefox exists. Please help
Flash the full stock rom
And if that dosent work, find the stock rom
Unzip it and fastboot flash recovery.img from that stock rom
Use Realme Flash tools with .OFP files.
