I replaced my wifes screen on her N6P and everything works afterwards except the pulldown to access the notification shade when anywhere except the lock screen. However if I rotate the phone 90 degrees in an app that support rotation I can pull down just fine. I can also pull down normally on the lockscreen. I have factory reset the phone but it still does this. Any ideas? I have tried the trick of going to guest and back to owner also. That did not work. I am temporarily getting by because I turned on the swipe with fingerprint deal.

I have problem with status / notification bar pulldown. I can open Notification over Settings button but it wont respond on touch. It worked fine few days ago and suddenly stopped. But I find out that it work when I rotate my phone horizontally. I didn't drop my phone anytime and screen seems fine.
I did factory reset and it didnt helped.
Im using Oxygen ROM.
Any help on this problem??
I like being to disable the nav bar, because for the most part all of its functions are duplicated by the fingerprint reader. Except for split screen, as far as I can tell. Does anyone know how to enter split screen mode w/o enabling the navigation bar?
Edit: found the answer: two finger swipe from bottom of screen.

Up till now, all my galaxy phones had a persistent phone notification, while on a call, right on the lock screen along with other notifications. It had simple buttons for mute/unmute and speaker phone on/off. On the S8, there's no persistent notification for the phone on the lock screen. I've ensured that I don't have the phone app disabled from showing notifications on the lock screen, it's set to show all content. I have to either unlock, or pull down the notification panel and then get to it, which is kind of annoying. Anybody else notice this or is it something with my phone? Just want to check before I attempt a factory reset.
Hey guys,
I have this phone since a few weeks ago and recently I realized that I have problems both with the on screen notifications on and the edge lighting.
I literally searched everywhere, but could not find a fix, so I really would appreciate some help!
So, my first problem is that I initially received notifications while my screen was off. Whenever I got a notification, the screen would turn on, however the notification would only appear for a matter of seconds and after that it would completely disappear from the lock screen. Like I never received a notification at all. Therefore, I decided to search for a fix and now my problem is quite the opposite.. I receive notifications, they stay on the lock screen until I swipe them off or open them, however, the screen is not waking up at all after I receive them. For example, when the phone is on sound mode, I can hear the notification sound, the LED indicator is lighting up, but the screen does not wake up. All notifications are allowed and I have unchecked the "keep screen turned off" option. My phone is not on a battery or data saver mode as well.
The second problem is that the Edge Lighting does not work at all. Yes, I tried to switch off and on the buttons, I set the Edge lighting to "always" and enabled all available applications. Restarted the phone numerous times as well, no progress whatsoever. Oh, also the notifications are not in "pill" style.
If that matters, I cleared the cache, I've updated everything and didn't find an application that might cause any interruptions, although I am not excluding that option.
For me works only in messaging app, in edgelighting i have touch all apps.
I have noticed that my back and recents buttons seem to have stopped working. I had them set so that they were always lit up but they've disappeared.
Has this happened to anyone else and did you manage to fix it? I've looked through the settings and can't see that I've changed anything.
Currently running Action Launcher.
I have noticed that if I touch the Home button briefly, when using the Sense launcher, two small symbols appear briefly - a "b" and something else... Have I accidentally engaged some accessibility feature unwittingly?
ETA: I properly switched it off and restarted it, and the buttons reappeared, lit up as expected. It was a bit of a worry though. Hopefully this will not reoccur.
