I just wanna ask u all developers . Is the development project for miui rom have been started or not..
I like miui interface much attractive then that of cm7.
Or is there any theme of miui for g3

yeah ... jasux , pauri and all have started the porting work!.... but most probably it will come after marcellusbe's cyanogen port only!

Yep we are porting it and if we get all working before cm7 we will most likely release it with froyo and later with GB, and yes it looks awesome

Now that is good news...... btw i read in thread that you guys are porting only some of the MIUI apps and theme and not the entire framework.... but the rom is based on AOSP...... so won't the samsung modified froyo be a problem for the base rom?

We are porting all MIUI frameworks (.jar files and the theme) also the apps and thats it... But the thing is that MIUI get its looks from framework.jar files and everything except firmware will be ported. lockscreen, launcher, apps, notification bar, theme, scripts these are the main things we are going to port
And if you want screenshots just google MIUI

it will be based on marcellusbes AOSP android 2.3 (if he gives me the permission to use it)

yes saurav, miui is based on CM, no samsung stuff. Lets see if they have fixed anything additional in the official build

Afaik, MIUI is based on CM
And all this "to be released today, because facebook voted so" seems unprofessional. I've never tried MIUI, but the team seems too childish.

Well, actually it's because the beta testers voted so, and they just announced that on facebook, not "because facebook voted so"

So... Perhaps there are some dependencies but are different animals.
MIUI is based on AOSP.
Yes, it use CM device specific code, but it is AOSP.

i have just installed htc Sense 6 on my C6903 with blinkfeed all works ,but the weather widget did not work, not a bad theme or launcher then lol, regards joe

Bro, Sense is the whole skinned UI + features, the launcher itself was merely known as 'Prism' back in the Sense 5 days and Rosie in Sense 4.
Launcher /= Sense.

well it would be nice to port a whole rom, but for me i have locked bootloader so it's a pipe dream for me and many other's regards joe

Well, idea is to make CM or AOSP ICS rom first, than port sense rom ower it... but I don't analysed if we have all needed source code for msm8974 ower ICS? First of all we will need to get ICS working on our phone!

I have seen that some users asked to have MIUI for this device and i'm very interested too, but I don't really know how hard it is for the developers to make this ROM hapen. Will we see a stable MIUI ROM? Is it possible with the Kernel release?
