Hello, why when I start bluetooth in my Galaxy S8, it always start in discovery mode?
I really like to start bluetooth and only connect to paired device, and not else!
Also I like to don't have a notify like this to tap for stop the discovery mode, I think it's very annoying and needless!
Is there a solution or a mod, to solve this issue?
Complained that to Samsung last year and got the following response:
"This message is a built in systems notification that cannot be turned off."
And yes, my sentiments are exactly the same - completely useless and annoying.

Thanks in advance
That's the icon when you have the phone set to Vibrate.
It's your first pda isn't it ? I think it'll be good for you to read the notice .
Thanks! Silly me should have realized it replaced the sound on/off icon.. It seems to change some settings in there itself sometimes
thanks again
Yeah first PDA.. I tried to click on it to see what it was, but I just came to the normal screen with battery indicator and network connection.. The icon looked a bit scary so it got me off..
Lol ! welcome on windows mobile board !

Well guys, if this is proven and tested that is GLOBAL.
To say that the other brings about important changes such as an alternative SlideME Market and installed WhatsApp source and featured applications,
then brings others were head uninstaller. Also I notice that the wifi connections are fast and good coverage. We will continue testing.

Anyone else been able to download this officially
@jlssalgado,
Thanks for posting this, however I don't see anyone else reporting that they've been able to download this, not through PCC or SUS.
Is this an official Sony update or a modified FTF by you or someone else?
Feedback app and rcsservice! rcsservice "hidden" inside the feedback battery page???
Hi, i notice something strange:
if i enter settings: app and i select the "feedback" beside is impossible to disable it, if i click on "Battery" the next screen not talk anymore about "feedback" app but talk about rcsservice app!

i reset the phone, now the battery menu for the app "feedback" is like in your photo, no name/icon.
so is true for the oreo update is better do a phone reset, or strange things will happen, lol
Here's a nagging Android riddle I'd like to understand just out of curiosity, as opposed to researching an 'issue' that needs to be resolved. We all have better things to do (laundry, pull weeds, floss) than to make a case out of this post.
I'll ask anyway.
In my graphic the shortcut on the left shows normal behavior from the Settings widget in Oreo. The shortcut on the right, however, just showed up on the home screen out of nowhere. I'm clueless about how it got there and why it has color. Is anybody familiar with this?

I think it's a spyware from mobile-tracker-free.com . Coz I used it before and it comes as the name of WiFi in the settings to avoid attention of the user.

It's not spyware. But mystery solved. The peculiar green shortcut is an Oreo feature.
In my case it showed up by accident. Here's how it's done on purpose:
Long-press the Settings app icon until a pop-up box appears with a short list of widget items that can be dragged to the home screen. In my case there are only 3 options -- battery, data usage and wi-fi.
There are similar effects by long-pressing other apps like Gmail and Messages.
and i think its a rootkit but i cant find anything about it

The member that replied to your post that you are quoting actually had hidden a spam link in response -- hence it not being applicable, relating, or helpful.
I've had the same issues that you are having, but can you not simply uninstall that ThreatTrack Security Firewall from the Program and Features? Removing it should remove its hold on your firewall settings and whatever influence in your system -- but if it is truly a rogue nefarious program, you should search for any registry keys or leftover files in your system; maybe even run a malware & virus scan...
Yeah I figured it out last night what was doing it lol I feel stupid
