Dramatic Battery drain - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody,
I got my Nexus 6P for over 2 years now and I've never encountered a Problem.
But since 2-3 days my Battery drops very fast,
Apps 25%
System 21%
in 14 hours !
I've a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier for 2 weeks with the Gear app running on the Nexus.
I thought this could be the problem but even if I uninstall the app I've the same issue.
Nexus Android is stock :
Ver 8.1.0
Kernel 3.10.73
Build OPM3.171019.016
Is there a problem with the last update?
How can I find the app that drains the battery?
thanks or any help

Sounds like its time to replace your battery.

Hi,
yesterday evening I did a factory reset. now after 15h I got 51% battery with moderate use.
Only 12% System
and 24% Apps
That's defintely a better result as before. I think I got a process in a loop that wasn't killed with a simple reboot.
Turnig off the device isn't the same as taking off the battery. How can I've the same effect as taking off the battery without taking it out ?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Battery Drain Fast

Hello,
I got the S4 (I9500) since 6 month and the battery is great. it stands for approximately 2 days with decent usage.
recently i got my fiancee the (I9505) but the problem is the battery drain incredibly fast.
She charge it 100% and after 6 hours sleeping in the morning the battery will be 60% with 0 usage.
although i did her mobile setting exact to my mobile setting. and even we tried to make it less but still the same result.
I don't know why this happening although she did the latest update.
Disable Google sync, location, Greenify apps and use BetterBatteryStats to check what's using the battery maybe wakelocks

note 4 low battery drastically drains
Hi. Ive been noticing some anomaly on my galaxy note 4(sm-n910c/lollipop) battery. When it goes down to about 20%, it starts to drastically drain itself. So rapid like 1% per 10sec. Maybe there's someone out there who encountered the same problem or knows the fix. Advanced thanks
No Samsung Again
I have the same problems.
I made a factory reset but the issue didnt solve.
Samsung should be shame and we should stop buying Samsung.

Your Galaxy S3 battery capacity after three years

Hey Folks,
It's been more than three years since the phone was released. Many would have replaced the battery similar to stock or higher capacities.
Let's share the battery life and usage of our phones. I have attached snapshots of my phone from GSAM battery monitor app. I have installed a 4400mAh Anker extended battery.
Please share yours. Cheers. :good:
Hi! Mi S3 has three years as well. You can see the date that it was built with the app Phone Info-Samsung- in the playstore. Mine it has a stock ROM, and with heavy usage (games, chrome and youtube) (didn't change the battery since got the phone), it gives 3h and 30 min screen on time. Very well to a phone that have three years. Greetings.
Stock battery 2 years plus
Offline Manga reading 5Hrs SOT
Online browsing 2~4hrs
Online streaming 2~4hrs
Gaming 2~3hrs
:C
3 1/2 years
Using Lollipop it drains in 4 hours of moderate using.
Using KitKat I can use the phone for 6 hours of moderate using.
I have been using my S3 since 1 year and 10 months and can go for 6-7 hrs with heavy usage
I bought my S3 in Sept 2013 so it has been close to 2yrs now and I have switched to Zero lemon which is 7000 maH monster..it lasts me for 3 days easily with super heavy usage...if I keep it in stand by it can last me for 20+ days without any issues...
I'm still using the stock battery. I've another stock battery as spare.
So far it working well with average of 7-8 hrs battery life with light usage.
Recently, I just use the Battery Repair app to repair some bad cells in the battery. Hopefully it will prolong the battery life a bit more.
Hi ******. Thats great timing so is yoir smartphone stable with this big monster 7000Mah . Can you guide me a bit so that i can buy one that i am sure about . I have galaxy s3 i9300 with 2 hours 3g use help me out

I changed recently to original Samsung's 3000mAh and would recommend it everyone who hesitate :good:
My S3 is now my second phone, so fairly light usage. Stock battery, 3 years 2 months old. Flashed Belokta Note 4 rom 5.1, Boeffla kernel 7.9. Greenify and Amplify. Able to achieve 2.5 days off the charger and 1 hour 15 mins SOT. Wi-Fi whenever possible. Not bad for a 3 year old battery and great work for the developers.

A510 Battery Issues

Hey guys,
My A510FD has been suffering battery issues for a long time but it's getting worst nowadays.
100% charge used to give around 9 hours of screen on time but after some time the battery starts dropping from 20% to 0% in matter of seconds.
Nowadays, it drops to 0% from 30% and when charging it only takes few minutes to go from 80-100%.
I think it's because the battery capacity is getting lesser. Anyone else has this issue with their A510? I've replace a battery at Samsung center around 10 months ago and same problem happened to both batteries.
Thanks.
Same issue

Same issue here guys... please help.
What ROM are you using ?
Because some custom rom are eating battery.
The best battery is often on first version (Lollipop downgrade)

Ok, maybe you should downgrade to 6.0 or 5.0 (5.0 is the best), i'm having some battery draining on 7.0 TW
Also you should try to use some hibernation apps like Greenify

I've been getting huge battery drains with Android System and Android OS taking up about 32% of battery life the past 2 months, with no big change in my apps or usage. Seems to even happen in flight mode and screen off....I'm starting to fear it's some google app that broke for our phone, trying to find the cause using BetterBatteryStats ATM.
I encountered 22% Android System usage and it's draining my battery. After a full charge, it takes 10 hours I didn't touch my S3 Neo and the battery is 72%.
I don't know what is the problem. Because the OS should work transparently with minimum CPU and battery usage.
