My P10 plus device is under system android (oreo 8.0.0.360 final), I follow the steps described in a post concern flashing twrp but in the 3th step I typed this line, Booted into fastboot : "fastboot flash recovery TWRP_3.2.1-0_OREO.img", instead of "fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk TWRP_3.2.1-0_OREO.img", but nothing happend becoz the cmd give me an error message "remote command not allowed" and the flashing end unsuccessfully!. I asking for to know the difference between the two lines for flashing twrp?
Thanks

While following DirtySanta's guide I believe I may have accidentally copy/paste the whole post and it may have read these commands:
fastboot erase system
fastboot reboot
In TRWP Recovery it shows no OS installed.
Am I SOL?
Assalam o alaikum
Hi
I've unlocked my v20's bootloader and tried to install twrp by using a command in command prompt " fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" cmd says flashing okay but after flashing twrp the device shows up a screen saying " Device cannot be checked for corruption lock it again"
And it doesn't boot into recovery.
When i boot it into recovery using adb command phone says "no command"
I want to know how can i fix it.
Thanks in advance

I am in serious need of help right now.
I could not find the OTA patch for elite roms,so I wiped all the partitions available in twrp except internal storage.
Changed data to ext4.
Flashed stock recovery.img from twrp and proceeded to dload method, it gives an error on 5 percent.
Now i only have stock recovery and fastbooot.
I tried fastboot flashing different images eg recovery, twrp, system, vendor etc but they all give an error of "command not allowed".
(On fastboot screen,it shows: "phone unlocked" and "frp lock")
I tried some guide for solving this error which said to "fastboot oem relock *16 digit code*" but it also gives error : "root type is risk".
I had legend rom installed before starting all this.I wanted to go completely back to stock. But now i have bricked my device with a stock recovery and a fastboot which can apparently get no useful command to work.i have searched all the google for all the the different huawei devices but nothing is working.
Help me please!!!Any and help will be appreciated!!

What does it say when you
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.IMG
?
Rename TWRP to recovery ( according to my experience, I get error when recovery has other name)..
If that fails use firmware finder to download firmwares..try them all if possible..including different models of the same Honor (in case OEM changed)

"Comman not allowed"
There are 3 files in available to download in ff.How to flash them ?
This is my first time trying to root my android.
I have successfully unlocked oem but can't seem to flash twrp.
I have downloaded twrp 3.2.1 on my desktop and renamed it to "recovery".
Entered fastboot on phone, used the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" but it just says "error: cannot open 'recovery.img' "
Can anyone please tell me how to get twrp installed?
I accidentally flashed a magisk_patched.img thinking that it is going to Install Magisk into my phone.
I entered the following command: fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img (Not specifying the boot slots)
Once I rebooted, it says system UI is not responding.
I went back to fastboot mode, and entered the following commands knowing it had worked previously before:
fastboot flash boot_a magisk_patched.img
fastboot flash boot_b magisk_patched.img
I tried switching boot slots, but both shows the same error once I am rebooted "System UI not responding".
I have no TWRP installed and I just want to start FRESH. I have the OOS 10.3.1 Zip file ready. I just do not know how to install it.
It also seems like my phone does not want to boot into recovery mode. It is currently stuck in fastboot. Both slots have this error.
Pleasee help me out!
Use MSMDownloadTool to reflash stock image. Follow directions of that. Can be found easily here on forums.
Alternatively, since fastboot is working you can try and use a fastboot version of OOS rom and flash without relocking bootloader.

I still don't understand why people are so eagerly desperately searching to use patch img method.... We have a working TWRP you just have to fastboot boot temporarily twrp and flash Magisk zip installer....
Anyway, why did you mess with slots? 90% of time it leads to soft brick. You don't need to specify slot when fastbooting an img, it's flashed automatically on active one.
In your situation, try to fastboot flash the ROM, there is a thread in Guide News section providing OOS in fastboot format.
Or use MSMdownload to put your phone in factory fresh state, there is a thread in same section about that it's called 'collection of unbrick tools'
And my thread in same section explains how to root 10.3.1
