[Q]Skip "bootloader unlocked" message when booting - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Is there a way to get rid of the boring message showed up every time if you have unlocked your bootloader?
"Your device software can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader "
See attached file (not mi a1, but it' s pretty much the same)

Simply lock your Bootloder of phone.

In my knowledge if u relock bootloader when u r in custom rom u will get some issues.
Also this boot message cannot fix in my knowledge. If u rooted then its not adviced to relock bootloader. Relock ur bootloader only if u r in pure stock and no root...
Unlocked bootloader needs for custom roms and root and twrp

Sorry i misunderstood your previous message, i understood that with root the warning would be gone.
I' m asking as newbie, can't we replace it with some other image, like they say on this thread?

How to remove "Kernel not seandroid enforced" and Custom Padlock icon??

I have a verizon S5 G900V. First it was marshmallow. i wanted to root it and unlocked bootloader. i got back lollipop and rooted, then unlocked bootloader with the help of this forum. After that I installed twrp recovery and flashed a marshmallow rooted rom. Everything just worked fine without one, my bootscreen show "Kernel not seandroid enforced" and a custom padlock icon. I tried to install root triangle away and reset flash counter. But it didn't work. If anyone know how to get rid of this problem, please share. I search a lot, but didn't find. (sorry for my bad English)

Only by flashing full stock tar file to flash bootloader, because on 6.0 "download mode" has to display official to be able to flash bootloader.

You can get it to say kernel seandroid enforcing depending on what ROM you're on and what kernel you're using. What custom ROM are you on?

OK, try this, download terminal emulator from play store, open, type su, grant root. Type " sentenforce 1" without quotations, it will change your selinux to enforcing but I don't know how that will affect root so you might want to make a backup first

Hmm command not allowed usually says that bootloader is locked. You did unlock it manually again right? Because it often is locked even though it says unlocked on the bootloader.

Freshly bought Mi A1 - to OTA or not to OTA?

Hey guys,
want to mod my freshly bought Mi A1 to the max, but I'm not sure if i should OTA first or better start modding right away?
I already unlocked the bootloader and it didnt wipe it - it also has 7.1 installed still. Generally I'm usually reluctant to do official updates because they usually make modding harder - but I tried booting the treble TWRP installer .img through fastboot (without installing it) and it failed because some partition was missing it said.. so I just want to hear if OTA is necessary to use the latest custom roms or if i can keep the old bootloader etc?
Would be cool if someone who knows could say smth about that.
Or is updating through OTA actually recommended even when not planning to ever use stock roms?

If security matters for you yes
The only thing you'll share with a custom ROM is the bootloader
Since may update locking or relocking the bootloader will wipe your data
It's your choice
but it will still work as easy as before to unlock/lock with just a fastboot command, right?
and will a custom rom work with a locked bootloader? Like first unlock, install custom rom + kernel, then relock?

It will always be that easy to unlock and relock the bootloader
No don't relock on anything that is out of stock (custom kernel , magisk, custom ROM etc) this will lead to a softbrick and you'll have to be on edl more to reflash a stock rom
What's the interest of having a locked bootloader with a custom ROM? You won't pass the safety net anyway
Just keep it unlock
You can do ota with an unlocked bootloader

What's the use of your android one device if you will not update it, that's what you pay for.

hahahaaa exactly the point
well once you have everything "perfectly set up" updates can ruin it. but yea relocking the bootloader really was a stupid idea - it was the idea to make it tamper proof but since custom kernels wont boot with locked bootloader that wouldnt work.

Can i flash rom via twrp? Will it work ?
No fastboot roms for fastboot mode only and you will loose root. It means you need to reroot your device if you wish
TWRP is for custom roms only.

You can either do a clean flash with TWRP/ORANGE or do flash with MIFlashTool with Fastboot ROM. (Depends of what you want to keep or lose, eg. the bootloader unlocked) with Fastboot ROM it will reset and relock the bootloader (of course you can unlocked it again with unlock tool without problem), with MIUI recovery ROMS will be the same steps as flashing a custom ROM, it might re-write the stock recovery after the reboot but the bootloader will remain unlocked.

Some apps doesn't work properly, like Netflix for example.
If you're just using regular MIUI without root or any mods like magisk better leave it locked.
You don't have to lock the bootloader when using Miflashtool, just choose "Clean all" and not "Clean all and lock" at the bottom of the ui.

No, definitely not. Unless you want to brick your device.

what to do after installing twrp pls help

Hey guys just a question my time of unlocking the bootloader is about to finish .
Do i go and install twrp directly after unlocking the bootloader while still in fastboot or reboot the device to the system and set it up then install twrp via fastboot again ?
And shall i use the stock rom or i need a custom one like miui.eu.
Any way thanks in advance
When you will unlock bootloader ur device will automatically reboot, it won't be in fastboot.
2. Depends if ur device reboots u can still reboot to fastboot mode and flash twrp and flash eu or choice of ROM.
