So I tried to use YouTube TV on LineageOS 15.1, ResurrectionRemix Oreo, and Pixel Experience, and I get the same result with all of those: black screen video, with audio playing.
Has anyone gotten this app to work in any Oreo release on the Moto G5 Plus?
I'm having the same problem. Support said they have received several reports of issues on the G5 and are working on it for whatever that's worth.

Hello everyone, im modifing, recovery, ROMs apps and everything about the Moto G since the first gen, i just made the jump from the Moto G 3rd gen, i played with that one and got Resurection Remix, AOSP, etc on it. The thing is that i was able to record in 720 60fps, and when i made the jump to the Moto G 4rd Plus i thought that i would have the same option or even a 1080 60fps option. Soo here is the thing how can i enable 60fps Recording feature? right now im running Stock ROM, with root and xposed, but Stock. Ive flashed Google camera, AOSP camera and the stock with extra features (the lady bug one). Hope you guys can help me and pardon my english im Argentinian.

I tried to cast My Moto G5 Plus to my sony kd43x8300d android TV, it did worked but it closes everytime after 4 minutes, pls gimme any cure :crying:
My Moto g4 plus is switching off while watching online and offline videos while playing game and while playing music. It started since I flashed stock rom with February security patch and relock the bootloader
I just have an idea. And I want to post it here and find if it is possible.
I understand that Moto Z Play has the same camera lens as the Moto G4 Plus.
They have a rear camera OmniVision OV16860, and a front camera OminVision OV5693.
With that said, they share the same hardware in terms of camera.
Is there any way to port the Oreo camera drivers from the Moto Z Play to our devices?
Anybody has tried this?
Thanks.
From the many posts I've read in the forum, the camera issue is connected to our chipset and not the camera hardware. The snapdragon 617 is a pretty sh*tty chipset and all the devices that use them have pretty much zero development and vendor support. I guess those guys are all waiting for athene to get Oreo. Guess we're out of luck. BTW correct me if I'm wrong. At least this'll serve as a bump to this thread.
I Found the perfect combination for a smoth Pie Rom with a totally fast an functionally camera (photos and video) no lag and instant functionally gestures (even instant Chop chop for flash light!)
I am so happy about it!
Since I installed Oreo ROMs I was suffering cause I couldn't use the camera properly and some other functions of my Moto g4+.
I had read that because Qualcomm 617 chipset has very little attention from official developers then the camera shows incompatibilitys and then works wrong in custom ROMs (even in stock rom soak 8.1)
In January 14th they published AOSIP (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo.../rom-android-source-illusion-project-t3889942)
In combination of this great Rom and a zip I found to flash in TWRP of Moto camera 2 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/themes/pixel-gapps-rom-t3731231 - find the Moto camera 2 download link) I accomplished what I was trying since I installed Oreo in my device...
This camera probably works in any arm64 Rom... But I love AOSIP so far and that's what I have Install to experiment with the camera zip)
Off course the world isn't perfect so I can't paste url Chrome links in lawnchair (AOSIP it's probably based in some Rom with that problem... Some of then have it and some of them not) but I can live without it for today.
So if you're frustrated because the camera issue of Moto g4 plus... This solve it!
Asus Camera port is also useful. No green images!
Hello was wondering what gcam you are using on the Moto g5 plus? I'm on a a custom oreo ROM, pixel experience to be precise. I've had done luck with the urikill apk, but it crashes alot, especially when trying to take a picture with little light. What else is there and what works best, I've Googled this multiple times over the last few months and have not got much info about what the best gcam mod is.
