Hi, I am running stock oreo.
For the past day, my NP has been booting into the screensaver every 15 seconds or so when there's inactivity. Thankfully this does not happen when I am watching a movie, but other then that, it keeps enabling the screensaver.
My screensaver is set to 30 minutes. NP is also set to never sleep. Any help would be appreciated it. Thanks!

All,
I've got a stock Nexus 6P, Android 6.0.1, build MHC19Q.
Sometimes the phone will go to sleep and sometimes it won't. In the settings, Display Sleep setting I have 30 seconds as the value, but I've seen my phone stay on for way longer, sometimes until I hit the power button.
I've tried several changes to the time but it doesn't seem to help the times it stays on, it just changes the time for the sleep when it does work.
To explain exactly, when I stop using my phone and I'm on the home screen, if I leave the phone alone for several minutes, it will not sleep, no matter what value I put in the setting. Other times it seems to sleep without a problem.
I've not been able to determine if some app is holding it awake, and I don't see any pattern the would point to any other condition that keeps the phone awake.
I looking for additional ideas to troubleshoot the problem, it just stays on and runs down the battery.
Ideas?

Download and install GSAM. It will tell you specifically which app is keeping the screen on.
If it days Android, System, or Media Playback is the highest, it may be a tweak / custom rom / kernel issue.
When night clock is active on my phone it turns on and off every couple minutes. Anyone having this issue?
Mine does the exact same thing. I have timed it, 3 minutes on, 2 minutes off. It started doing this after the last AOD update....I just switched it off...real bummer
No mine stays on, are you setting it correctly (time on/off), i actually prefer the AOD and use that timed as my night clock.
Hi All,
I have noticed that whenever I set the sleep time (Settings -> Display -> Sleep) to anything other than the 15 seconds, after a little while, it will automatically revert back to 15 seconds. I have set it to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes and never, but they will always automatically revert back to 15 seconds. My battery is at 85 percent and this happens even after I turn off smart power and all other power saving management programs. Are there anyone else that is experiencing this problem? Please help, thanks!
I don't have this problem. I set the sleep time to 10 minutes on the first day and now it is like it should be, set to 10 minutes
I also don't have this problem.
Hi,
I figured it out. I have the program Kinscreen installed and it was this program that was automatically changing my sleep time. I paid for the premium version which unlocked the option to change the sleep time in Kinscreen and problem solved!
My Nexus Player exhibits a behavior that unnerves me a bit, and I was wondering if it occurs for anyone else. I use my Player to watch Youtube, and that's basically it. I'm running PureNexus 6.0.1. A lot of the time, when I leave the room, I'll just pause the current video. Probably about the past two months, I've noticed that when I return to the room...half hour, five minutes, six hours later, it will sometimes resume playing on it's own. Not every time, but often enough. I won't even go near the piece of furniture the remote is sitting on, and it'll just resume playing about 30 seconds after I return. However, it has never resumed playing before I come back into the room. It's kind of creepy.
You are not alone. I mean literally...
When turn on the camera long or set brightness of the screen max at 5-10 minutes. Later, switch to the gray screen will see the application's image saved first and run out after a few minutes. I checked on 3 machines, all error.

Very late to the party, I know, but I've noticed I have it happen in a lot of apps. Particularly YouTube (watching Reddit lists mainly) and sometimes even my notification bar burns in. Idk what it is but mine is usually gone within a few minutes
