MAT and XEF are part of the same multi csc OXM
in order to force your device to use XEF, you first need to flash a non OXM firmware, like SFR (also france)
during the first boot, your phone with a french simcard in, will get the SFR csc
next you have to wipe your phone from recovery mode, then flash a OXM firmware (containing the XEF csc)
during the first boot your phone will get a brand new XEF csc

[Q] Flashing to XEO (Poland) firmvare + changing CSC with Odin?

Hi, I want to flash my galaxy as fedup with waiting for updates.
I got BTU, UK unbranded, unlocked S4
I am polish, so thinking flash it to polish firmware as they get it fast.
GT-I9505 XEO I9505XXUBMEA thats the one I want go for
Can someone tell what is it ? is it network firmware or unbranded?
I would go for it only if I can change CSC code to XEO, so I can get OTA updates.
If not I will keep waiting for BTU
And Dont really want XEO polish carier firmware, as I can flash to Three UK BTU network, would be the same and dont have to change CSC.
So, main questions are
What it is XEO ? what network ?
Can I flash it + change code to CSC all safe?
and how to do it ? Odin
Thank You.

as far as i tried you cant change csc with flashing . unless you flash single csc not multi.
only way is to root with auto root than change csc wit csc changer and then flash desired firmware with odin.
xeo looks like it is simfree so its just general for poland

Can someone help me out as I am new to all of this...
I am using a Samsung galaxy tab 7.0 (p2610), and I flashed a jelly bean update successfully using odin. I am not rooted.
I have a system update in the notifications window that is stuck there, that is not working (process fails), this is due to the csc code being in great britain.
I am in Canada, I have Odin ready to go, can someone please show me how to change the CSC of my device to Canada?
Where do I go to download the appropriate file? After I assume I load it up in Odin with device in recovery mode, and flash using the "CSC" option in Odin correct?
Any help would be great.

Changing CSC Without ROOT!

Hey! My issue is to somehow change the CSC without root on my device. I live in Hungary. I bought my phone at carrier (T-Mobile) my original CSC is TMH. When Marshmallow released for Poland i did manage to put it on my device. Now... because XEO is a Multi-rom after a clean install my CSC went to TPH (Portugal) I searched for how to change csc without root (in this case XEO) but im failed to do it.
So guys, is there any option to do it?

it is not similar; we are here talking about the only PIT available for us, OXX, which includes XEO, ROM, SIO etc but default one seems to be TPH, and factory reset brings us always to TPH

I had to flash 5.1.1 BTU to get rid of TPH. From there on, I came back to my original CSC. Therefore, I changed my CSC from TPH to SIM without root.
Edit: if I understand correctly, you can't flash BTU over TPH and then your original over BTU?

Yes,but i went from TPH to BTU and then from BTU to SIM. That's why I don't understand why you can't. Flash 5.1.1 from BTU in Odin, do a factory reset after BTU flash and TPH will be gone.
On older Samsung phones there was a code that you dial in the dial pad, which opened a menu so you can chose your CSC, but I don't know if it still works on the newer phones.

Problem Multi CSC

Hello,
i have a belgian S7 edge and flashed a while ago the british nougat beta firmware.
yesterday i wanted to go back to my countries own firmware but was still marshmallow on sammobile.
so i installed this version using odin.
but when i did a recovery and wiped everything it installed german apps and the language was in german.
i tought that my CSC wasnt correct so i only flashed the CSC from the marshmallow rom for my country but the problem remains.
now i have multi CSC but i only want one and that is CSC PRO (Belgium Proximus)
how can i fix this? i tried the code with *#27*imei# but nothing works?
because of this problem i cannot use VOLTE on my own operator.
You need to flash a totally different CSC that is not multi csc with re partiton enabled in Odin... then flash the csc you want to be on again with re partition enabled in Odin.
And which csc shpuld i choose for example?

Try flashing a KSA CSC firmware (Saudi Arabia) and then flash the CSC firmware you want
I also have the same problem. Last month I flashed a BTU firmware because I haven't got the Nougat update yet here in the Philippines and I really wanted to try out the Nougat update as soon as it started rolling out in UK. This month the Nougat update finally rolled out here in the Philippines so I decided to go back to Philippine firmware which is XTC. After flashing I got the Thailand CSC (THL) even though I flashed the Philippine firmware (XTC). My s7e is not rooted and I have no plans on rooting it. Can someone help me go back to Philippine CSC? Thanks in advance.

The CSC you are trying to flash maybe part of the same firmware so you have to change to another csc entirely. Try KSA CSC firmware and flash the PRO CSC firmware
I am in the UK and my phone orgibally had XEU CSC and I wanted to flash the BTU CSC to get Nougat however because BTU and XEU were in the same firmware this meant when I flashed the BTU CSC I still had the XEU CSC.
So I flashed KSA CSC and flashed BTU CSC and now I have BTU
Piravinth said:

Sammobile wrong firmware! Please help

Hello,
Yesterday I downloaded the Vodafone Italian Nougat firmware, flashed it and immediately as my S7E turned on I saw that the firmware was wrong.
In fact the firmware is from Germany No Brand, I already downloaded it again just to make sure that I didn't made any mistakes, flashed it again and I have the same problem.
Sammobile take up to 10 days to respond, So I'm asking if anyone else has this problem, or maybe can anyone upload the real Vodafone Italia Nougat firmware:
Model SM-G935F
Model name Galaxy S7 edge
Country Italy (Vodafone)
Version Android 7
Changelist 10422490
Build date Mon, 20 Feb 2017 06:27:00 +0000
Security Patch Level 2017-02-01
Product code OMN
PDA G935FXXU1DQBT
CSC G935FVFG1DQBT
Thanks everyone
your firmware can be download from here.

I downloaded that one myself some days ago and had no issues.
However, I am wondering why did you flash it if it was wrong. You can easily determine it by the filename.
Has your device been on OMN before?

Yes ofcourse, I an prepaid Vodafone SIM installed. The phone was not bought under any contract with Vodafone
the firmware is multi csc files with Germany is the main CSC. we cannot do anything with it. The only way i know how to change the csc fully to your country is via Samsung Service Center or you need to root the device and do it with samsung phoneinfo apps. Root and you will loose samsung pay function/secure folder and any knox related software like shealth
Usually the CSC changes accordingly to the sim inserted. Only if there's no corresponding csc it takes the default one in multi csc roms.
Please download Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and posts screens here to see what's really going on.
Here's the screenshot

Flash your original marshmallow firmware using the CSC. It will factory reset your device
Flash the latest Nougat firmware using the HOME_CSC from your original firmware (can be the marshmallow one or if you have an Nougat one, use this). Don't use the nougat CSC file anymore.
Unfortunately without a Single CSC file you are not getting back to your original CSC and a single CSC has not been published for Vodafone Italy. In case of multi CSC the system uses the CSC already applied or in case of change (since you've BTU at the moment) the standard CSC which is VD2 (Vodafone Germany) in this case.
The only way to change that is with root.

I said using CSC meaning the firmware included all the stuff of your firmware.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Unfortunately that won't help as there's no firmware which only includes Vodafone Italy. There's only one with several European Vodafone settings and if you flash that onto a device with non-Vodafone CSC such as BTU it used the standard CSC included which is Vodafone Germany. I thought first different, too, unfortunately there's no way without root (tested it by myself).
Rooting is out of picture, because I don't want to loose warranty.
I'll try to download and flash Vodafone Italy MM, then flash it, after I'll flash again the nougat with the old MM csc.
Edit: in this case I'll wait for a few weeks until Vodafone Italy will release the proper csc file.
Thanks

Samsung built in CSC changer for OXM Multi CSC Firmware (Need to be on One UI 2.5)

Good news for the people who wants to change CSC according to their home country.
Now, you can easily change your CSC no matter from which region you had bought your phone.
***No Root Needed***
Follow this steps to change CSC:
1. First insert the Sim of your desired CSC country.
2. Then after restarting just factory reset your phone.
3. Now the phone will boot up with welcome Screen.
4. After few seconds it will ask you whether you want to change the phone settings and region according to your Sim Card providers country.
5. Boom!!! now, phone will reset again and welcome screen will appear again. Now, you will have the same CSC and configuration according to your own country.
N.B: It works only for OXM Multi CSC based Firmware after One UI 2.5 update. So, every device with OXM MULTI CSC & One UI 2.5 update will be eligible.

If you are trying to change the CSC first ensure your firmware is based on OXM Multi CSC and your desired CSC is part of the OXM CSC family. Otherwise it won't work. And for checking correct CSC after following this procedure use *Phoone Info Sam** app from playstore

I have the OXM multi CSC. I will try that later.
Im trying to get back to ZTO since I changed my phone's to DBT.
For people who can't switch between csc in the same mult csc pack. OXM multi csc pack contains all the european generic and network branded firmware (csc) so if You are at SFR (part of OXM multi pack), and flash it with BTU (part of OXM multi pack) the SFR will stay. What you need to do is to flash it with different multi csc pack (just see what packs are available for your model), then flash it back with OXM multi pack, and it should switch to some generic csc, then if you instert your sim card it should ask you if you want to customize your phone to the inserted sim card and it will change your csc to the one you want.

Hi sivuha0101,
So if i undestand your solution, as i am from FRANCE ( XEF )
1- flash with a NZC firmware like it doesn'nt contain neither XEF or TIM ( mine actually )
like : SM-G986B_1_20210501192706_0r7rhuu316_fac.zip.enc4
( do i need to flash all ? ie AP,CSC,CP and BL ? )
reboot, fast install etc....
then
2 - flash again with my XEF rom :
SM-G986B_1_20210517170737_0n0cb625x6_fac.zip.enc4
and insert my sim card to detect my correct CSC code .
I am right ? thanks for this information btw !
EDIT :
tried, the flash failed with the NZC firmware ( the phone is good ) but now i don't know what rom to flash
Answering my self :
1/ buy Samkey credits on ebay user ( 5$ )
2/ Use one credit in Samkey software to change the CSC ( less than 2 min )
3/ Enjoy your phone !
