How to stop Tasker displaying notifications?

I'm running MIUI, and want to get rid of the default notification that Tasker always generates, even when no profile is active. Does anyone know of a way of suppressing these notifications?
From within Tasker:
Settings => Monitor => Run in foreground (uncheck)
Although, this raises the possibility that Android will kill off the Tasker monitor service when resources are getting low...
The better alternative:
Settings => Monitor => Notification Icon
You can set it to transparent so it doesn't appear in the notification bar, but, the entry will remain in the notification area & Android won't be as likely to kill it off.
Next to those options you can tap the ? icon which explains it pretty well

[Guide] Optimizing Oneplus One battery life

After updating to lollipop it seems that battery life is worse. This is a general thread to help in the optimization of battery life of our OPO. Will update often.
Reduce screen brightness: Brightness does not always have to be high all the time. Try to maintain visibility of screen. 15-20% should be okay. Try not to use auto-brightness as well.
Use App Ops: Disable Keep awake and Wake up for apps that drain a lot of your battery. One main app should be Google Play Services.
Disable Auto-Sync: This will help to reduce apps from syncing data often and reduce the battery drain.
Disable 'Ok Google' Everywhere: This drains a fair bit of battery as it keeps using your microphone.
Disable WiFi scanning always available: Might drain battery when screen is off
Download greenify @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en : This will help you to hibernate apps that keep waking up. Greenifying an app causes all the background functionality (service, periodic task, event receiver, alarm, widget update, push message) of this app will become out of service during the hibernation except when you are using this app. Not recommended to greenify Instant messaging apps, alarm clock apps. Recommended to purchase Pro to unlock more features such as greenifying system apps

Due to the nature of the OPO I'd say the majority of people who come here already know these tips and have moved into the advanced areas of flashing/modding/custom kernels/roms etc. You could always check out the below thread for all guides and tips, or even share your own battery life experiences in the other thread below.

Not really, there are quite some newbies who do not know these tips. Maybe I should add more aggressive battery saving tips?
Please feel free to post in the existing threads. Making new threads only makes information harder to find, so I'm closing this thread. Thanks!

Huawei P Smart: too aggressive background killing

Hi, I've a rooted (SuperSU) P Smart. I'm struggling with the background app killing policy: lots of apps that should remain in background and send me notifications are costantly removed (the system is also randomly killing the superuser process too!). For instance, Pushbullet is not usable, Fabulous doesn't start its rituals and so on.
Searching the net it seems that I need to add the desired apps to a "protected apps" list, but there is no such section on my phone. The only similar thing I've managed to find is "ignore battery optimization" (per app) in settings -> apps and settings -> battery, but no way.
Any suggestions?
Ok, solved... I made a factory reset, removed SuperSU and installed Magisk, the "ignore battery optimization" now works perfectly. The thread can be closed.

Android 10 "Intelligent Control" battery option

I have a question does anyone know how "Intelligent Control" battery option does vs "Optimize"
And which of the two options is more aggressive about preserving battery life?
One has to wonder with all these approaches why haven't we just got a permission for "allow this app to run in the background" for apps you really really don't care about running in the background.
"optimize "will give you more juice out of your battery but will restrict background activity and "intelligent" on other hand is mid option, if u want both background activity to certain extent and little battery saving

Tweaks for better battery life

What are some tweaks for better battery life?
Uninstalling/disabling Huawei crap and limiting services that uses background services, like meteo widgets.
Turn off notifications from apps you don't want to use.
You can also turn off NFC, WiFi+ (not the WiFi alone) and limit background process in developer options.
