Title says it all. Is it worth installing a 64 bit ROM?

Please see here for benchmarks https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/rom-benchmarks-t3575807 and read reviews/discussions here https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/building-64bit-oreo-roms-t3738991
If it's worth or not.. The decision is yours regarding your purposes :good:

Thank you both for the tips. I think I'll keep using 32 bit ROMs for the time being.

Bllisspop ROM

Hi xda,
First, I am thankful that I found this place. I found hope for my Lenovo a6000 device.
Now, for my concern. I am already using RessurectionRemix ROM on my device and I am very thankful for that. However, I found a new ROM that really interests me. It's called Blisspop ROM. Is this ROM consumes a lot of RAM? I am really particular about RAM consumption. In RR ROM, it has free 400-500MB+ memory. May I know how many free MBs does this ROM have without installing anything? Just a new flash.
For reference, you can check the thread from the link below where the ROM came from.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-a6000/development/rom-blisspop-t3566767
Looking forward to hear something from you. Thank you in advance!

TIll i know blisspop is similar to other roms
Less customization than RR SO MAYBE...
JUST MAYBE YOU MIGHT GET MORE FREE RAM...
REST DEPENDS ON YOUR USAGE

Thanks for that, I am just curious as I regularly use my a6000 device. I am just afraid of getting my files deleted by reflashing RR again if Blisspop do consumes lots of RAM.
However, thank you for your reply.

That 122MB of RAM might be reserved for system use only, in which case that's normal. On my device, i have 1.8 GB out of 2 GB, regardless of being on stock, RR or other ROMs. Either way you've got most of your 3GB, I'd enjoy using that!

Do the 64gb/4gb and 32gb/2gb ram models share ROMs?

Or are there different roms for each version?
I guess this would be the same as asking are they both potter?

What is difference between Moto E4's versions?

I saw a lot of different versions here, such as XT1762 XT1766 XT1767 and so on.
So I wonder what is difference between those?
I am trying to find some custom rom but I don't know if there will be any problems if it is not the same version.
Mine is Moto E4 XT1769 which I can't really find any topic about it in this forum, maybe it is not a popular one?

Where did you get it? Is it a mediatek processor or Qualcomm?

Check the woods (mediatek)
The Perry section is for Qualcomm
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e4/development
And just ask in the thread for the rom you want to know about. Someone will usually answer. Good luck!
There are some pretty major differences between them.

Oh! Thanks.
Okay, does it mean only thing that matter is a processor?
So what is difference between versions then?

There are some differences between ones with the same processor too. Just gotta ask in the ROM thread your curious about. I don't know all the specifics of the mediatek version.

I too have the XT1769 version and agree there is scarce information on here for it.
What exactly were you looking for? I may be able to help.

Installing a new rom and kernel on my J510H Will it interrupt dual sim functionality?

Hey so the question in the title I want to install a custom rom and kernel on my old J510H which has dual sims in it which is really important to me.
My question is can someone recommend me a kernel and rom that won't ruin this function? Is it at all a concern? or am i just paranoid?
Thanks!

J516? I've looked at roms in this forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...16-roms-kernels-recoveries--other-development
I was told to try odyssey note 8 v1

Yes i meant j5 2016 forum
That's a right forum
And about odyssey rom
I have tried it on my j515
Nice rom with a full ported features from note 8
Absolutely amazing rom but for me it used a battery a lot and a little unstable (you should check for your self maybe it's much better for you)
Personally my recemndtion is aosp which is light weight and free to choose what you want
But that model i think maybe be the same as a 2015 model and sim 2's data doesn't work(on H models)(still say maybe, this thing was with me from oreo with aosp)
Other things are ok
You know you should look for what is best for you and just try roms one by one
