Hi, I am new to this forum and this is my problem.
I recently swapped a new G6 from my Telco. I wanted to do some file transfer so I plugged in my G6 to my PC. Found out that my PC cannot detect my phone.
I have spent the whole of yesterday trying to fix this problem.
According to device manager, the problem is "LGE Mobile USB Composite Device". I have tried everything. Search online, LG website, Microsoft website, Windows Update etc. Nothing works.
Please help! Thanks!!

It's a few days now that I'm trying to install the LG driver on my computer, but unsuccessfully yet.
I downloaded this: http://wwwstg.lg.com/uk/android/B2CAppSetup.exe and tried several times to install and un/reinstall but nothing happened. (exept a folder in the Start Menu which contains nothing).
After I gave up with that issue I tried at least to install the USB driver.( official from LG: http://wwwstg.lg.com/uk/android/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497CA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0_20100801_4.9.7.0.zip) The strange thing is that the driver got installed but the USB ports became disabled till I restarted my PC, but then the mobile wasn't recognised again.
I hope you enjoyed reading my little story and hope more that you got some advice.
Thank you in advance,
David
P.s.
I tried contact the LG support. They couldn't really figure it out.
May be it has to do with the Windows version (7)?

I have tried to connect my brand new (bought tonight) LG G2 F320S to my computer to update the OS. (kitkad is now available here in SK)
It won't automatically install the drivers. I have downloaded new drivers at the LG site. I have installed PC suite. I have gone to the device manager and tried to repair or update the drivers there. Nothing is working and it won't connect to the computer. Any ideas? Not looking like a great choice so far. (never had problems with my samsung galaxy phone) Thanks.
no ideas? I just updated the pc suite on the phone itself. Still won't work.
Trying to connect my LG G2 to my Acer Aspire V laptop and I cant get anything out of it. I've installed the drivers from LG's website, I've tried installing LG pc suite(works via wifi. The phone thinks its connected via usb but the software doesn't see it). I've also tried manually selecting various LG drivers and it still won't come up. My laptop is windows 8. On my windows 7 desktop the first time I plugged it in it came up like a usb drive and connected perfectly to LG Suite.
Any suggestions? I am with bell.

bump............
Other than trying to completely deinstall all drivers, software, and then installing PC Suite again, I don't think there is a lot you can do.
Does Windows give any sort of notification about Device problems, or failing to install drivers?
Hi Guys,
When updated my LG L5 E610v with LG Mobile support tool, it stucks in 'Download is in progress. Don not disconnect cable.
Tried a lot to fix this problem, no results.
I figured out that using adb, fastboot, PDAnet, LG suite, LG mobile support tool, kdz updater, a lot of different usb cables, button combinations, shake the phone, etc, my pc (and all software I used to connect) do not recognice my phone properly or not. For example: using adb, i get: device not found, etc.
I installed the right lg usb driver properly and see on device manager 'Modem' and 'usb device' installed. Seems to me, no proble at all !!!
Who wants to help me to figured out this problem ??? To say this, I am a noob with this problem.
Thx in advanced,
Ron

Hello!
My LG G2 (D802, stock, unrooted, Android 4) never showed an OTA update to Android 5 - that's why I tried to find the update through LG PC Suite. Installed the software, connected my smartphone (the drivers installed OK and it was recognized rather fast), and it really showed that I could update to the next firmware version (Android 5). But I decided to make a backup first (also through LG PC Suite). At first, everything was OK, but after a while the backup program told me that the phone disconnected unexpectedly and asked to reconnect it. I did, but it was not recognized by computer (was only charging, "slow charging", to be precise). I restarted my PC, my phone - still no luck. I reinstalled the drivers and followed all the common advice found on forums, but still my phone was only charging from PC (choosing any connection option in its menu or checking USB debugging did nothing). I also tried to connect it to another PC (Win8 - the 1st one was Win7) - also only charging without even trying to install the drivers. That's why it seems to me, that the problem is on the smartphone side. But what could happen during the backup process? The phone is still charging - so mUSB port isn't "burnt" or something... What can I do to fix this? Please, help!
