Hello guys, i have see that this phone connected to my router (max 600mbps and 1300mbps) reaches of the max wifi speed is 150mbps for 2.4GHz and 433mbps for wifi 5GHz. It's possible increase speed wifi or it's limited hardware?

It's hardware limited to 1x1 MIMO each for n and ac i.e. 150Mbps and 433Mbps respectively
I have a TP-LINK Archer C60 V2 AC1350 MU-MIMO router and my Mi A1 can only reach 72 Mbps on the 5 GHz network but my laptop with 2x2 network card can reach 866.7 Mbps.
Which channel / channel width do you use on the 5 GHz band?

It doesn't matter which router or 5 Ghz channel you're using I discovered that it was caused by a bug or intentional feature of Xiaomi/Google to block Wireless AC on devices with a SIM Card of a country that isn't well known. There are two workarounds for this in order to get 433 Mbps link speed.
1) Root your device and install this Xposed Module https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-change-wifi-region-to-enable-5ghz-t3396936
2) Eject your SIM Card and factory reset your device now you'll get 433 Mbps but after inserting your SIM Card it will downgrade to 72 Mbps.
A definitive solution will be to force Xiaomi to release a patch or sell your Mi A1 and buy another device (Galaxy S9+ Snapdragon in my case).

That's very interesting. Sounds like a completely unnecessary thing to do.

Some people have no problem, while others like myself have issue. So let's figure out if this is a router config issue, since most Wifi problem with Android have to do with the router itself. I'll start off with mine.
Tablet date of purchase: September 12th
Router: ASUS RT-N66U dual-band (2.4 & 5 Ghz) with latest firmware
Wireless configuration:
- 2.4 Ghz for B/G
- 5 Ghz for N only
Distance from router to tablet: less than 50 ft
Issue: sporadic network connection. I got full Wi-fi signal bars, good Internet connection, but then cut-out and no connection. Back again after 10-20 seconds.
Fix(?): Changed the router configuration for the 5Ghz radio from 20/40 Mhz to 40 Mhz. This seems to tame the problem. I still have sporadic connection, but far less and connection is back again after a few seconds.

I have a TP link single band N router configured for b/g/n. Both my shield portable and shield tablet have issues with wifi. My nexus 7 and my moto g are perfectly fine on it.
I think in my case I've narrowed it down to the router, though. I have a second router upstairs, also tp link single band N (different model). It is configured in bridge mode for the main router. Both shield devices are perfectly fine when connected to it. Unfortunately it only serves a small portion of my house and is much slower over all.

What do you mean by robust? Not crowded?
Strong signal with minimal set up conflicts.

I'm using a similar setup, but an ASUS RT-AC66U instead of the N66. A frequencies are mixed-mode, and my 5GHz is 20/40Mhz. I can pull a consistent 20 Mbps down usually, without any issues. 50 Mbps down if I'm the only active network user at the time.
Wifi signal is usually at 2 bars, but I'm getting the same signal level out of the Shield Portable, my Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 on my 5Ghz net. My 2.4Ghz net is usually always full strength.

That's interesting. I wonder if my N66U is unable to maintain a stable and consistent 5Ghz connection. So you have no problem with the connection like mien?
Do you use DD-WRT or stock ASUS firmware (what version?). I may end up buying the AC66U just to test it out.
Using a virgin hub which is a netgear i belive, 2.4 is solid even two stories away from the router. 5g is still there 2 stories up but will drop out, only 1 story up it's 1-2 bars but never drops out. 5g band on router set to 38-40ish range.

Don't you need 5Ghz to play GRID? If I use 2.4Ghz, GRID will "complain" and won't start any game I selected.

Stock. Whatever the latest version of firmware is too- I update when it's available.
When I had problems with my Luxor tv connecting changing channel on router from auto to one of the numbered ones fixed it, perhaps it has the bug where your device ends up getting the same IP as the router. Worth a go!
My LG-G4 and Samsung S4 only connect at 2.4G to the TP-Link Onhub (TPLink). They both connect to 5G when I use a Netgear router. If I place either phone right next to the OnHub, I can momentarily connect (about 2% of the time) to the 5G,
When I look at the details of the 5G connection (it only stays connected a few seconds) using WIFI Manager app, it shows that the OnHub "speed" is the same for both 2.4 and 5G. In the tests I ran the OnHub speeds were 96 Mbps. However, when I tested a NetGear Wifi router, the 5G always broadcasts a much higher "Speed", and will connect to 5G if signal strength is decent. Using the NetGear it is 96 Mbps for 2.4G and 433 Mbps for 5G.
This happens on both the LG-G4 and the Galaxy S4. I assume the phones are looking at both "Speed" and signal strength ("Level") to select the wifi band. If so, they will never select the 5G (other than momentarily) because the 2.4 signal is almost always stronger.
Am I the only person that has this problem?
I have a similar problem. My onhub will connect at 2.4 about 50 percent of the time even when my phone or tablet is right next to the router. My 5g connection when I have it, is significantly faster than the 2.4 connection. No idea why.

Go into your advanced WIFI settings on both phones and change band selection from AUTOMATIC to 5GHZ. That will solve your issue
No band selection available on LG G4.
My download speeds at home on the 5 ghz band setting are around 225-235 mbps, which is the same as my laptop. On the 2.4 ghz band setting my speeds are 85-95 mbps. With my phone set to Auto it always selects 2.4. Can this be fixed? Should I set the phone to always run at 5 ghz? Or should I just forget about it and leave it on auto?

The question was for general purposes, like getting the best speeds when I'm out and about, not just for when I'm at home. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.
I'm connected to the 5 GHz band on my WiFi AC 2X2 MU-MIMO Router but the link speed is only 72 Mbps instead of the 433 Mbps that I should get on WiFi AC 1X1 Client. The problem is not on the router because my laptop with 2X2 network card can connect at 866.7 Mbps link speed.
When I set my router 5 GHz Mode to 802.11ac only my Mi A1 won't connect to the network anymore unless I set it a again to mixed.
ROM: Stock March update with locked bootloader
Router: TP-LINK Archer C60 V2
5 GHz Mode: 802.11a/n/ac mixed
Channel: Auto - 153(155)
Channel width: Auto - 80 MHz

I noticed that my mi A1 has problems connetting to 5GHz networks on certain channels (usually >100). Try switching in your router settings your 5GHz WiFi channel to something like 36 or 40 and see if it helps.
I can connect 5GHz wifi with 200 Mbps link speed by install Magisk modules "WiFi Bonding (Qualcomm)"

I can connect to the 5 GHz network but i can't get expected 433 Mbps link speed with a AC Router instead of that it only gets 72 Mbps (WiFi N).
Maybe try a custom ROMto see if it is a hardware issue or a ROM issue? I have no issues with 433mbps on 5GHz AC.
If you can also try another 5GHz network to ensure that it isn't a compatibility issue with your router, then we can narrow down the possible issues.
Did it ever connect at a higher rate than 72mbps? Or have you only had this phone for a short time? Maybe see if you can find an older stock ROM to fastboot flash to ensure it isn't the ROM that is messed up?

In which channel if your 5 GHz network working?
PD: This is my second Mi A1 because the previous one got stolen from my house so when I bought it the first thing that I did was installing Oreo and then a factory reset. Also I bought the new router the next day so I've never tested it with Nougat.

In 2.4 GHz it's completely normal unless you set your router channel bandwidth to 40 MHz (not recommended if you live in a very populated area with a lot of nearly WiFi networks) and enable channel bonding on your devices and you'll get 150 Mbps.
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed latest fastboot ROM with MiFlash using clean all and lock, I'm still getting 72 mbps but the WiFi signal has improved and also now I have Mi Drop, Mi Community and Mi File Manager preinstalled. I'll try a custom ROM in this days and I'll post the results.

It's on auto, currently channel 36. I have no problem with 433Mbps connection on 5GHz, being about 20 feet away in another room with 2 walls in between. I can be upstairs in a bedroom, not directly above the router, and still have over 300Mbps connection.
This is running a Linksys EA6900 router with XWRT Vortex/Merlin custom firmware, and Mi A1 running Pixel Experience with Franco Kernel R2.

When I checked with router it says wifi power saving mode is on by phone.
Anyone know how to access engineering mode?
Can i disable wifi power saving some how?

Changed wifi to 802.11 n mode only and using 40 MHz band right now speed improved to 25-30 Mbps but never found a solution to this my OnePlus 7 next to me constantly hit 85-90 mpbs from same place and connected to same WiFi.
And i don't know what is causing this issue yet.
I seen only with wifi 5 GHz the phone wifi is working fine but if you connect to 2.4ghz speed is very bad.

Same it work for 1 to 2 times in speedtest results shows high speeds but drops to 1-3mbps instantly.
Currently I'm getting 30 Mbps by following above method can you try once and see if 802.11 n only not working try 802.11 G + N it is also working fine for me.

I use a wifi6 router so my phone has almost 700 MBps download in same room with the router and between walls I have almost 600 MBps . ISP provider is set on 1GB . Those results are by default settings on my phone .
There is under developper options one particular setting about internet connection reffering to " limit network bandwith download " which is applied to all networks that phone is connecting to . There are some limits like = No limits , 128 kbps , 256 kbps , 1Mbps , 5 MBps and 15 MBps . Choose NO Limits .
Mine No limits is by default .
It is known that bandwith on 2,4 GB band is much lower than 5GB . Also router must know and deal with MiMo wich Nothing Phone is capable . Even more there are plenty of WiFi analyzer apks that help you to choose the best channels and/or band on both 2,4 GB and 5 GB band of router . I must say between 3 new phones I use now , Nothing Phone has the best modem radio chip .
I guess you all faced to some router problems . Phone is fine , except that limit set under developper settings which like I said is set to NO Limits but check it out
