Upgrade doesn't erase data, just flash trough upgrade (which is the only available option for G6) and just after the flash to an hard reset with the button combination.

go to download mode (see axd post)
and do emergency restore in LG mobile Support tool
it might come with errors ...
after that boot to recovery using combo or adb or fastboot (this should work now and factory reset your phone)
now try to normally flash kdz (hopefully with no error)

I did that but the emergency restore in LG mobile Support tool stops at 4% and quits the restoration
what should I do?
by the way . is there any way to flash a costum recovery as CWM via download mode?
thanx and waiting for your reply:good::good::good::good:
I've got a T-Mobile D801 and tried flashing to the stock lollipop rom D80130b_00 using TWRP and the instructions on this page, but the flash must have failed. I did a full factory reset back to stock 4.4.3 prior to attempting this flash and I'm not sure what (if anything) I did wrong for the flash to fail. I can boot in factory reset mode and select clear everything, but then I just see the android guy with gears turning for 2 seconds and the phone reboots again.
Now I'm in a bootloop where I get an "error: Boot certification verify" above the T-Mobile startup logo followed by a "Demigod Crash Handler: Critical Error!" screen that provides options for rebooting (volume down) or putting the phone into download mode (volume up). After using the volume up the screen displays "Volume Up is pressed: Jump to Dload mode" and after connecting via USB appears in device manager as "LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM41)". I can't (1) boot directly into download mode or (2) get back into TWRP.
I've tried both the KDZ and TOT methods listed in this thread and neither are working. The LG Flash Tool 2014 / KDZ option starts the LG Mobile Support Tool, but it fails every time once "S/W Upgrade is in progress" reaches 4% with a generic "Upgrade stopped due to an error" message.
The TOT method fails every time with a "Model Information Check FAIL!" message. The full text is - "PID: NULL, IMEI: NULL, Model: , DLL:801, BIN: BIN_LGD801AT-01-V10c-310-260-AUG-13-2013+0.tot , SWV: , SWOV: , Model Information Check FAIL! , 00000000"
I've also tried using srktool to repair fastboot, but it gets stuck at "waiting for device".
What do I try next?
Finally got back into 4.2.2 using tot method. LG Mobile Support Tool doesn't think updates are available though??
same situation lg g2 d802

Yes, I *think* what happened was that my 30b bootstack was flashed successfully via twrp, but then the actual kdz flash of D80130b_00 failed. I had a lot of trouble at this point - needed to fix qhsusb_bulk problems first, then use the more aggressive TOT flash method to reset to stock 4.2.2.
Finally the LG Mobile Tool was still reading it as having D80130b_00 / lollipop after going back to 4.2.2 via TOT (?). Last step was to do a full restore from the LG Mobile Support Tool (options -> upgrade recovery) and it actually downloaded / flashed D80130b_00 so everything is working well now :good:
If it helps anyone I used the LG backup tool to restore apps / media and have to say that for a stock solution it's pretty solid.
qhsusb_bulk?

you said your g2 was detected as a lge androidnet in device manager but not as a qhsusb_bulk...then what problems have you fixed about qhususb_bulk? and what is the more aggressive tot method different from this threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Were you able to find a solution? I'm in the same situation. Please help!
Hi so my friend gave me his LG Leon to flash CM 12 because he didn't use it anymore. For my surprise when i turned on the phone it boots automatically in flash mode showing "910K" in the little box. I try to flash a kdz but nothing works, when the phones restarts boots in flash mode again.
I installed TWRP but always is showing that is not detecting the OS.
Why can I do?
Is a corruption of the partitions?
help
Try to flash a official rom using LGMobile Support tool. Connect the phone, open the program and Select "Option -> Upgrade recovery".
From what I can gather, the recovery was either replaced with an incorrect version or was corrupted.

my lg k8 had a root and it worked fine, until LG asks to install an update and I forgot that it had root and can not install LG updates, and then it bricko, already tried LG Bridge it arrives at 100% and still in loop I have already used LG UP it arrives at 100% and says the same and when I try the '' refurbish '' mode of LGUP it gives '' error 0x2000 k350ds10a_01_0720.kdz file does NOT support '' REFURBISH '' process ''
please help me.
obs: it goes into download mode but it does not enter the hard reset screen
it is entering the hard reset screen but I select '' yes '' '' yes '' and it simply goes back to the infinite loop without formatting

maybe you could try to flash another firmware of k350nds for eg. or k350n in refurbish mode (maybe they support refurbish mode) than reflash the k350ds firmware.

I tried with several and none worked : \
You have to extract the firmware and install convert the bin files to img and flash with fastboot.

Good evening, you managed to solve this problem I'm with a k350ds in the same situation
already tried the same procedures and did not work always return to the loop screen
someone please help to bring back my lg g6 h870ds .(lock bootloader and cant fastboot ) all i can do is watch my lg phone on firmware update. if i restart it just always on same phase ( do not plug the usb connection until the process complete) . i already try to attempt to factory reset but it always stuck on system update i mention .
i tried LG UP and LG bridge but the same results , i downloaded the new virsion og LGUP .store .dev . lab and i have correct kdz and hash but it always says 0x20000 0x80000202 invalid response but the time i tried LG BRIDGE it fails and also changed the firmware of my LG G6 now i have to update to latest verion of LGUP and common dll . it runs ... but theirs new dialog says 0x7000 KDZ image corrupted but i double check it and it is a correct hash .. even in previous attempts it is always 0x2000 0x8000202 always on 11% to 12% of load until is stop . now in this new one 0x7000 thing its the same 11% to 13% of load until it fails . my suspicion about is maybe it just the same error but it just change its error message .
i just want to know if theirs a way to bypass its LGUP tool to clear the system cache of my phone because before i plug it and turn on debugging i got errors on LG firmware app it self it crash and stop always (my phone is alive in that time) the app that u used to update your lg phone without computer
i see a thread that he make a dev patch of LGUP that unlock all features and i have its copy but is on LG V20 and not compatible on my lg g6h870ds ( the LGUP says on boot up . invalid dll for your lg g6h87020q please install proper dll ( .msi))
if theres anybody can help where i can find modded dll patch LGUP to my lg g6 h870ds (GCC ) so i can flash without restrictions
ps sorry for my bad english
I CANT USE UPPERCUT BECAUSE OF NEW UPDATE OF MY FIRMWARE AND CANT DO ANYTHING JUST LGUP ITSELF . BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ACCESS ON BOOTLOADER AND FASTBOOT
