ZTE A612 problem with pokemon GO performance - Blade General

Hello,
I have a problem with Pokemon GO on this phone.
It works OK on world map or when catching pokemon. But when you open menus (which are 2D) like items or pokemon list the framerate is terrible. Is this some phone setting problem or just the app optimalization is... crap. This phone is not a rocket but cant believe 2d menus are killing it... tried GTA San Andreas and its perfectly smooth.

PSX4DROID

Did anyone have any succes in running PSX-ROMS on galaxy 3?
Please list the name of the game that worked.
Every game work at SG3.
At Driver2 I reach even 50FPS! But the problem is in slow-motion. Games run 5 times slower than normal(you can see that, in games with some timers eg. Gran Turismo)
I mailed a developer of this app, and if he replies to me, I will post it here
It didnt work on my phone
I tried run a PSX-ROM on my g3 but whenever I selected a ROM the screen turned black and then came back to the select ROM menu. From where did you download the ROM. I games I tried were Resident evil 2& crash bandicoot 2 they worked with an emulator on pc.
KH-BBS -> BlackScreen
FF7-Crisis Core -> BlackScreen
Bloody Roar II -> SLOOWW
Batman Forever -> SLOOOWW
Crash bandicoot 1,2,3 - 10 FPS, for PAL minimally 50 required to play smoothly.
Ah, I forgot... PSX4Droid on SG3 works only at 2.2

[Q] What's the best PlayStation emulator for Play [and how to set it up]?

Hello could someone please tell me the best PSX emulator for the Xperia Play and give detailed instructions on setting it up so that it runs smoothly? I have tried one, FPse, but the sound does not work properly. psx4droid doesn't work at all [the latest version 3.0.6,] it just keeps asking me to force close when I try to load a rom. Please give the name of the emulator and the version and how to set it up for the Xperia Play.
the best emulator so far is FPSe, check on the Apps & Themes section, there is a sticky with all playable roms.
FPse.
Mine works perfect. No sound or framerate choppiness at all.
How did you set up FPse ? Mine has poor sound, it doesn't seem to be playing all the sound only some parts.
Solved the sound issues. So in FPse i went into "system" and unchecked Mdec Acceleration, Gte Acceleration and HLE mode. Now I hear all the audio though at some points the audio slows down a bit.

I have -
Country - USA (i live in the UK though but i d/l USA games. This might make a difference to smoothness as the timing of the games is 50 mhz or 60 mhz and could account for some choppy sound)
Mdec - On
Gte - On
Fast Booting - On
HLE - Off
Boost Mode - Off
No Sound - Off
Spu Sync - Off
Framelimiter - On
Frameskip - None
Screen Filtering - Off
Screensize - Full Screen
Fast Overlay - Off
Screen Orientation - Landscape (turning off auto in theory could speed emulation up)
Print fps - Off
Invert colors - Off
Some games didnt work very well. Tony Hawks 2 had very glitchy graphical errors (or might of been THPS 1, cant remember), and Colin Mcrae 2 grinded to a halt.
Here is what i have tried though -
Time Crisis (touch screen as light gun, dam awesome)
Demolition Derby
Rampage Universal Tour
Point Blank (touch screen as light gun, dam awesome)
Strider 2
Die Hard Trilogy
All of them run flawlessly. No graphical glitched. Now sound stuttering. (and i mean none at all, not even a tiny hiccup).
I have rooted my phone, taken away lots of bloatware. Maybe this helps, maybe not.
N64 emulator sound skips for me alot. fpse none though.
Hey man mine is rooted also, you said you took off bloatware, could you go into detail? I want to take off stuff but I do not want to "brick" the phone because I don't know how I would get it back working.
Check out this thread for removing bloatware: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1046699
Man I don't think it's actually possible to get this damn emulator playing the sound properly, it keeps slowing down messing up the sounds. sucks man.
Sorry to bump an old thread..
But does the phone need to be rooted to work with emulators - to eventually play psx games ?

No you don't need to be rooted.
If you're looking to use FPSe, here's how to get playing your games:
1.) Buy and install FPSe.
2.) Open up the app and it will ask you to load a BIOS. Google is your one and only friend when searching for the PSX BIOS.
3.) After that, you can load your game. So rip your own .iso from games you own. Or again, Google is your friend for this.
4.) Then you can load the game and stay playing.
You might have to change a few settings to get the game and emulator performing better, that's basically trial and error.

[Q] Fpse for Android - Resident evil 2

I lately looked into FPse and thought I would load up some childhood classics. Resident Evil 2 in particular. The game while running completely fine has a really annoying problem I have scoured the internet looking for info on said problem Re-installed the emulator completely and am just about to give up hope.
The problem that I am having is that any and all Menu's and inventory in the game scrolls incredibly fast, so fast that one tap of a button sends the in game cursor flying something 5 spaces away. This happens in the start menu as well so selecting a new game is a matter of pressing the button fast enough while its scrolling through. I have looked at various game play videos none of which seem to have this problem.
I am very sad.

Smurfs epic run frame rate on Nougat S8

Hello there.
Is it normal that game "Smurfs epic run" on Nougat framerate dosent show full playback. It sort of skipps a little when running. I tested the game under different phone on Lolipop on and it plays fine.
Is it optimization on s8 problem? Its not like game needs powerfull phone wich S8 is anyway.
I tried lower resolution and game mode even game tuner and didnt helped. U guys experienced same thing? Maybe its not opimized yet for s8 aspect ratio or something. Anything else i can set up?
Everything else plays perfectly fine on the phone. Very satisfied otherwise.
Can anyone confirm that this is "game" issue?
this sort of behaviour is almost always present on a newly released phone
it's often a combination of the game itself, and the firmware of the phone itself that both need optimising some more to make things play along nicely.

I think the same. Actually i tried too limit framerate on 30fps inside app Game tuner from Samsung, and it was smooth, just that number of frames per second is kinda annoying. Just realized that tuner" has thoes aditional setting where u can customize framerate and everything else lol. Im gonna play with it later tonight when i get back home from work. I will prolly find the way too bypasss this skipping with 40 - 50 frames or something. Just downloaded Tuner app today, so i have too learn all posibilities inside its settings.
Can anyone write here procedure how too delete Cloud Save over Facebook login.
I did delete cloud save" under options, - but this deleted the current save only, inside the device. I wanna start game from beggining. But after this, game only offers me too replace "cloud save" with my current save, since Cloud save is my old game wich is more advanced.
Ok, i find out the save thing". What is strange, last night i find the game perfectly smooth framerate full 60. then today, again skips a little. I tried game tuner, but all i can do mostly is downgrade framerate, wich i dont want to. I guess after two updates already from game developer, they still didnt optimized the game 100% for samsung s8. Anyone else has any tip too give me, too try out something else in setting?
I did tried battery saver off, gaming mode on, max performance on, its like it maybe works 60 full frames, but some app is blocking the game too perform smooth framerate withtout skipping.
Can someone please test the game and help resolve this if its an issue? Thanks
i guess no one plays this lol

Mediocre Game Performance

The game in question is Cytus II. Whenever more than 4 notes appear on screen, the performance tanks. Even with game battery saver downscaling the resolution to 720p, it still does this. Does anyone else experience a similar issue while playing games?
Cytus II isn't even a graphics-heavy game, so it's starting to make me question this phone and its performance.
If all graphic heavy games are running smooth it's not problem with phone itself. Try to force 2d acceleration via GPU in developer settings...

I noticed there was some LG Game tool or something running, after I tapped on it, I selected the option to turn it off (it has performance settings, which were set to balanced) and games seem to run better, never played Cytus, but when I played PUBG is was a significant improvement.

Thank you! It's not a night and day difference, but the game definitely runs a bit smoother after disabling that option. It's not placebo either; I just played the game without any lagspikes whatsoever.

I only speak English sorry, but if you open the settings app, under 'general' there is a gaming button.
It is labeled 'game tools' in English, but its the top toggle, hope this helps
