Are you sure you are flashing the correct firmware? Download the latest one and try again.
Honestly it could just be a busted battery instead causing this issue, had this happen before for a client on a s6.
If you already tried flashing SM-G935FD firmware with CSC file which makes the phone automatically do a wipe data / factory reset in recovery mode then you probably have an hardware issue instead.

I think so. After a night powered on (since i couldn't turn it off) i plugged the wall charger and the blue installing system update screen appeared and the phone soon rebooted after ten times like these the blue screen disappeared. How can i check the battery life to decide if it is the responsable? I've measured the absorption of the phone with his stock charger, it is 0.49 ampere does it mean something?

I am having same issue. Does anybody have a solution to this other than "hold down power, home, volume and enter recovery menu", this doesn't work. Is there a link to flash stock ROM through Odin somewhere out there?

Hello, i'm trying to boot into odin mode or even to recovery mode to flash the firmware as i keep getting an error "Android Keyboard AOSW has stopped working" , but when i try to go into recovery mode with volume up + home + power button, it does not give any options and restarts automatically.
i tried to put phone into download mode to flash it with stock firmware, but it isn't booting into download mode (volume down + home + power button), when i try to boot into download mode, phone turn on automatically, not going into download mode to flash firmware..
any idea or solution to put phone into download mode??

It WILL go into download mode sometimes it takes multiple tries. When I say multiple I mean more than 3 you must keep working the buttons.

Is Android Keyboard Aosw(?) preinstall stock keyboard?
If yes then I'm afraid your device might be not a genuine S7 but a clone.
And that will answer why you can't enter recovery or download mode with this method.
Since stock keyboard on S7 is called "Samsung keyboard".

Be sure oem unlock and usb debugging is enabled, obviously no, you know that. Power on pc, run odin and connect the phone to the cable and try. already you tried?
your installed cyanogen on the phone?
never happened to me and it is very rare

I agree. Booting into odin is ridiculously easy.
At any time You can hold:
Home+vol down+ power
And from any kind of screen it will boot into ODIN mode.
So if that doesn't work then Your device is most probably just a clone.
Okay, this has happened to me as well. Pissed me off, best thing to tell you is. You have you phone, turn it off for a couple of seconds. Position your fingers in the Vol Down + Power and hold the middle down, try holding on the right side of the middle button. It should work, I would say if it doesn't. Once it has restarted, turn it off and give it a second and try again.
Is the phone connected to a charger or computer? I've had problems with multiple phones refusing to boot into recovery while charging.

Hi, I think your right, I bought this online saying its a version from South Korea. Do you know how we can fix it?or if you have other options that would fix it?
All android phones even clones have Android Recovery.
Try this:
Turn off Your phone and press and hold VOLUME UP and then Power, when Your phone turns on (boot logo) keep holding volume up but let go of power button.
If that doesn't work then hold volume down and do the same thing as above.
Now when You hopefully booted up recovery mode, use volume buttons to go down to factory reset, press power button to confirm and then wait until You'll see something like "Factory reset complete" .
Most clones have fastboot/mtk based bootloaders so holding volume button and power button without home button should work.

I just did that and what showed is the android robot icon lying down with a red exclamation point on it and stays there and does nothing...
That's good. Now You should press either one of volume buttons or power button (just a single short press) and recovery menu should show up. And there You should choose factory reset.
Recently tried to flash a new bootloader and modem in my S7 Edge through Odin, but now the screen is stuck in the Powered By Android initial boot screen. I cannot turn it off by using the power button, the only thing that works is if I press the power button + volume down, however that does not take me to the Download Mode but instead just restarts the phone and back into the Powered By Android screen. Volume Up + Power does not seem to be working.
Am getting desperate now, please help!

Managed to fix it
What I did was keep holding volume down + menu button + power without letting go. It rebooted into the Powered by Android many times but after about 3-5 minutes of holding it straight it finally sent me to the download mode where I was able to install stock S7 Rom.

Hello Everyone,
I never rooted my phone, my Edge S7 after last android update freezes on Samsung S7 Edge, "Powered by Android" logo.. and the worst, I can't turn it off!! Yes, is true, I have to wait the battery to drain totally to see the phone off.
What I have tried:
Tried key combination: VOL DOWN + Power, it restarts, but again I enter in this boot screen logo freezed.
Tried key combination: VOL UP + DOWN + Power to boot off, nothing happens.
Tried key combination: VOL UP + Home + Power to enter in Android recovery mode, nothing helps (I tried in every state possible).
Download mode combination works, so:
Kies using the restore option (with IMEI).. keep the same.
Used Odin to flash last firmware from samsung update site, nothing.
All my tried it keep stay showing Samsung S7 Edge, "Powered by Android" logo without any clue what's going on behind.
My version is from German, please guys, any idea what I can do in this case? Return it back is a very hard option as I'm far far away from where I bought it.
Thanks in advance
Seems like an hardware issue with the internal motherboard. If you did not do any flashing/update before this happened most likely will be hardware failure and you may need to visit the Service Center.
Another possibility is that you may have flashed the file for the wrong model
Did you try getting to recovery mode while pressing VOL UP+ HOME + POWER? Sounds like you missed the home button in that step.

Thats strange. I had a scare similar to that the other day. I thought I would never get my phone to work but what I did was this:
VOL DOWN + POWER Until it reboots.
As soon as the screen goes dark, really fast, hold the VOL DOWN, HOME and POWER buttons until you see download mode. After that, I flashed the original firmware for my device through odin and it booted normally.
The other option is to force reboot it with VOL DOWN + POWER and then VOL UP + HOME + POWER to go into recovery and shut it down from there, and THEN go into Download Mode, but it seems not even that is working for you. If your warranty is still active, I'd recommend going to where you bought it from to get it replaced or fixed. If they say they cant do anything, you can always contact Samsung to file a claim directly with them for service.
Hi there, I have same issue, have s7 edge sm-G935F stuck at logo. I downloaded 2 different firmware from z3x box(shell) and if keep failing when using odin (latest) and also getting error when using Samsung tool. Also I can't get in the phone menu to check the baseband..can only get model from download model.any advice to this?
Hey guys my wife's S7 edge (SM-G935W8, Canadian variant) started rebooting and boot looping for a few days until it suddenly rebooted and stayed on with a black screen and the notification LED stayed blue until the battery died. Even holding home, power and volume down didn't do anything...
The phone was never rooted and completely stock. I just tried reinstalling stock firmware with Odin and everything went well as I got a pass but it still won't boot and gets stuck with black screen and blue LED.
Does this sound like a dead phone? I can't get into stock recovery, only download mode once the battery dies.
Just wondering if it's fixable.
Thanks

You can enter download mode right ?
why don't you try installing TWRP recovery with ODIN
Go to TWRP website... and find your device
download .img.tar file
open odin and insert this file in AP tab and in the option tab (disable "auto reboot" )
( plug your phone via usb to your PC.)
on the log it will show (added)
hit start
once installed...press and hold vol down + home +power key (while it restarts) press and hold vol up + home+power key
You will now enter TWRP Recovery...swipe to allow modifications
wipe - > advanced wipe -> except sd card...select everything and wipe them (all your data will be gone)
now install any custom rom from this site..

My S7 edge is also having similar issue. It just died 4 days ago at 5 percent battery and red LED kept blinking. I tried to hard reboot using Power + Vol Down, it didn't work. I couldn't get into the Download mode either. It doesn't charge when connected to the charger, not detected on any computer as well. Any thoughts?

I plugged it in last night, after the battery was completely drained. It's been a week since the issue.
It was fine till this morning. I inserted the SIM cards and then connected to the laptop. I thought I would backup the data using smart switch before doing a factory reset. The backup went fine till 75% and then boom again turned off. This time there's a lot of battery left, and I might have to wait 4-5 days before it can be drained completely. But I'm now hopeful that it'll eventually turn on and when it does I'll immediately do a factory reset before doing anything else. I'm suspecting that a rogue app might be causing it. This time it might have happened while that app is being backed up. The LED is constant Red this time indicating the state it was connected to the laptop at the time of incident.
It turned on again last night when I connected the charger. It was showing the charging symbol. After 5-6 minutes of charge I tried to hold Vol - + Power buttons briefly to reset the device and it went off again. It's lying like a brick currently.
No sign of life again!
